Wow, are we really up to Issue 90 already? It only feels like yesterday that we quietly robbed this feature idea from our friends over at Nintendo Life, and it's gone from strength to strength since then. A stat: since Issue One was published on 2nd March 2013 there have been over 4,500 comments on these articles – that's comparable to your average IGN forum thread.

I'll be finishing up Life Is Strange this weekend. It's been torture waiting to play the concluding episode, but the moment has finally arrived – the End of the World awaits.

There's a mushroom cloud on the horizon, which means I'm scrambling to finish off approximately every game in existence before the wasteland consumes me. Indeed, I'm finding it difficult to cope with the fact Fallout 4 is less than a month away.

Everyday's great at your Junes! I got around to starting Persona 4: Dancing All Night this week, which means my weekend is dedicated to Platinuming the joyful little beggar. I'll also be wrapping up Tales from the Borderlands' final chapter, meaning it's going to be a double-Platinum weekend for me. So alone.
Ryan Oehrli, Senior Writer
It's been a while, but I'm getting back into the swing of things! I'll be playing Super Meat Boy over the weekend, between bits of work. Bleh.

I'm starting to fall way behind on my current releases, so after I finish the season finale of Tales from the Borderlands, I'm definitely going to carve out some time for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. I also still have a Witcher 3 expansion to play, and I want to get some Rock Band in, too.

I'm playing a 1996 PSone 2.5D platforming game where I control a jester called Fargus, who's hoping to find a new career at a Wizards in Training seminar. It has levels set in a Skull Fortress, Fungus Grotto, and green cauldron-like Acid Pools, so I'm sure I can magic up some suitable references for when I review it on the Hallowe'en weekend.

I'm still trucking through Alien: Isolation and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. However, in between avoiding the incredibly smart yet infuriating Xenomorph and worrying about the oil supply in my lamp every minute, I think I'll check out Everybody's Gone to the Rapture as well. I'm more than ready to envelop myself in this mysterious, beautiful-looking adventure title.

Despite a busy weekend ahead, any free time will be put towards getting the Platinum Trophy in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. I'm also looking to continue some Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.

I'll be getting my friends around and playing the Street Fighter V beta in order to see what's changed in my second-favourite fighting franchise, before switching out to Guitar Hero Live. It's been a little hard adapting to the new controller, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the set list.

After having the week off work, my backlog of games has been reduced to nothing, after completing the Uncharted collection, Life is Strange and Tales from the Borderlands. This weekend I will be street fighting (in the Street Fighter V beta) the urge to buy any more games in the wait up until the launch of the big titles next month.

Now that I am home this weekend I will be checking out some of my purchases I made last weekend at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. First up will be Mega Man: The Wily Wars on SEGA Genesis, which is yet another remake of Mega Man 1-3, but you know me and Mega Man games. After that I plan on checking out Secret of Mana 2 on the SNES which is an English translation of Seiken Densetsu 3. So I guess that this weekend will be a 16-bit weekend for me.
A lot of chatter from the team this week, then – but this article ain't done yet. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

i'll be playing Dragon Quest Heroes and Tales of Zestiria this weekend
might also mess around on DBXV me and my mate are trying to platinum it but the RNG is SO frustrating and getting the final Super Moves is hard (the only trophies we nee are for collecting all moves)
Finally finishing off MGS. I'm in two minds if I want to buy any new games before Fallout as it will be all I'm playing come release day.
Just completed dragon age inquisition on nightmare mode, so I will be spending the next two weeks mopping up the rest of the trophies on casual 😃 also tempted to get witcher 3 , its £25 on Amazon uk if any one else is tempted like me .
I'll be playing AC: Unity and Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. Hopefully I'll play some Thief: Deadly Shadows as well.
Just finished MGSV and playing the witcher 3 , and my pre-order fallout 4 is 2 weeks away , hope gonna finish the witcher 3 before that
@marston1983 wow nightmare mode excellent
@get2sammyb It's funny how Nintendolife started WAYP but only Pushsquare and PureXbox are the ones that do it now.
@marston1983 Was it more fun on nightmare mode?
@Tasuki PureXbox is still struggling I see.
Playing Undertale and a bit of Mario maker
@animalovich @wesker I enjoyed the challenge, it was very much trial and error, and it took me about 60 hours to complete. It was the first ever attempt at a dragon age and I had heard from my friend it was too easy on casual, and even hard mode wasn't too taxing so I went straight for the platinum on one run. The problem is now I gotta do all the fiddly trophies, I'm certainly not attempting the 10 dragons on nightmare, ill go casual now and do the rest in my sleep so to speak
@Tasuki I think Tom and the team just got tired of putting it together. It can be a bit of a chore to be honest, but I enjoy the community interaction so it's worth doing for me!
@marston1983 Congrats on Dragon Age! You've been working on that for an age (get it?) or so it seems
I'll be playing school kid detective and try to figure out what the hell is going on in Danganronpa 1 and may finally start up Bloodbourne been waiting for a good period of free time to really get stuck into what looks like a GOTY contender
Having a second run through on Alien Isolation, we'll see how far I get until Divinity Original Sin comes through next week.
What a game Alien is, though. Cant wait for a follow up.
Still playing Dragon Quest Heroes and really getting I to it. It's lovely seeing classic characters in HD and this is definitely more of an RPG in how it works.
I finished the story of Hyrule Warriors so that's done for now. I have been doing bits of Adventure Mode but I'm not sure if I have the motivation at the moment because it's just a bit disjointed. Now I finished that I am back on track with Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls which I had put temporarily on the backburner. The shooter elements are a bit iffy but I'm enjoying the story, which makes up more of the playtime. When I've done that I will do more King's Quest. I hate having so may games on the go at once.
I want to try and get through as much of my backlog as possible before Christmas
@kyleforrester87 I wouldn't hold your breath. Sega didn't see enough profit on that game to make a sequel AFAIK.
@Wesker Never say never, I understand it didn't do well commercially but it was critically acclaimed and the developers have stated they'd like to do a sequel so here's hoping something will materialise.
Played some Triforce Heroes with the partner and her brother, knee my 3ds collection would become useful! Great laugh in a group. Want to complete my first ever run through of Uncharted 1 tomorrow... Fun game, so glad I've heard the others are better though!
@Hego haha , on the plus side at least I've got my money out of dragon age, i must admit with being married, having two young kids and a full time job perhaps picking a game that could take 80-100 hours to complete it 100% wasn't such a great idea.hence the reason why I'm not too desperate to dive into witcher 3 just yet
Got next week off so hoping to finish batman on the ps4, give drive club a bit of a spin, and finish mousecaft, on the vita and Call of Juarez on the ps3
I've been in a very RPG mood lately and I FINALLY was able to get a copy of Lunar: Silver Star Harmony for PSP after years of wanting it. I'm also playing some Wasteland 2: Director's Cut on PC and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on Wii U.
Disgaea 5, hopefully finish chapter 2. The games funny no idea why loads of the reviews say its not. The overloard of Gorgeous is a psychotic bunny boiler, what's not to like? May also start Bladestorm you guys gave it an 8 so looking forward to some old school musou action.
@themcnoisy Played the demo...too much "Dood!" for my liking
Warframe and nba 2k16
Witcher 3 dlc. It's excellent, but you knew that already.
@Wesker PureXbox is odd they community seems smaller then Pushsquare's but I find that seems to be the normal for Xbox gamers. They seem to use the social features alot more that are part of the console rather then an outside source like a fan site or something similar. They also seem that if they do use an outside source, it's usually something like YouTube or Twitch more so then an actual site.
Tales of Zestiria, then Rockband 4 with my friends tonight!
@kyleforrester87 Disgaea is too deep to use a demo and gain any understanding. You will never get the bond with your up and coming cleric who's whizzing through the exp, building a tower to throw a prinny across the map to hit a geo panel, ending the turn by smashing out 3 different sets of 4 character team attacks, last gasp wins etc etc. Disgaea 5 should last me 3 years depending on the end game content. But you do need to buy into the game, its a gamers version of footy manager.
Destiny (hit lvl 16 today ),PES 16 a little bit of Rocket League and as I type the wife is playing Everybody's gone to the Rapture which we got in the Halloween sale. She was brought up in Shropshire and says it's very accurate.
I started to go through some of my old games looking for a co-op online game to play with my best friend who lives far away. We've settled on Defiance. I've owned the game for a while and he can download it for free. I'm enjoying the game. I'll probably play some Diablo 3 as well.
@animalovich good luck with that 😃
I've just got back into the Witcher 3 in a big way after a break, just about to go to Kaer Mohren so still a long way to go and I have the dlc waiting. Also gonna try to teach the wife how to play Gwent with the cards I got with the dlc
Just Assassin's Creed Syndicate this weekend. I actually like the characters better than I thought I would after reading the review by @get2Sammyb. Though he did mention Evie is a good character, and I agree, she's pretty bad a$$. Jacob actually isn't terrible either, but Evie definitely seems to be the star at least up to the point in the game that I'm at.
Playing some primal carnage on ps4 , n retrecking through fallout new vegas n subsequent dlcs, spears will some ps2 classics like dirge of Cerberus an gundam MS saga, . Hopefully I'll get my dreamcast next weekend and start up shenmu .
Final Fantasy XIV (PS4): lvl 32 black mage so far
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (PS2): playing through mega man 1 for the first time. Fun game, but right when you get to Dr wily stages, holy $#!+ does the game get hard!
Life is strange is finished 😭😭😭 now onto zombie army trilogy 😎
Finished Tales From The Borderlands earlier and still going through the Witcher
PS4
Tales of Zesteria
ToZ: Dawn of the Shepherd DVD
Wii U
Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water
3DS
Zelda Triforce Heroes
Chibi Robo Zip Lash
Vita
Persona 4 Dancing All Night
Persona 4 Golden
X1
[nothing]
I bought a new Vita (original model) because I scratched my OLED. When switching mem cards it got corrupted and I lost ALL my data and save data for over 40 physical games and well over 100 digital. Tried backing up, even the save data but it was too late. Spent the last 3 days reinstalling my games, updating, and downloading my digital library (including every piece of DLC) one by one.
Still playing mostly Arkham City. Believe it or not, I'm close to platinuming the game already. I'm doing new game plus and wrapping up Batman's challenges. All and all, amazing game. Probably a go to game in the future.
After that, I'll try to find time to do Uncharted 2 on crushing so I can platinum that.
You know, a few years ago, I would've mocked myself for going nuts over trophies, but it's kinda fun for games you really enjoy.
Destiny, Dragon Ball Battle of Z,...
@JaxonH Sounds like a frustrating experience. :/
But also it looks like you have a lot of great games lined up to play.
All on Vita:
Persona 4: Golden
Virtua Tennis 4
Home: A Unique Horror Adventure
Farming Simulator 16
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSone Classics)
Etrian Odyssey 2 (DS)
Pokemon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire (Wii U VC)
Recently picked up the Castlevania Rondo of Blood remake because it was on sale in the ps store, so I might try to play that a little bit over the weekend.
Bloodborne and Splatoon.
Good to see Zestiria and DQH get some mentions. I'm playing those as well as Uncharted 2. I'll move onto 3 after I've finished it. I wonder if I'll be able to plat all those games in the next 15 or so days before Fallout 4...
@Tasuki There are loads of Xbox fans at Eurogamer, which is why many of their comments sections quickly turn into mudslinging contests between Microsoft and PlayStation fanboys. Something PushSquare thankfully manages to avoid through the virtue of being a dedicated PlayStation website.
God of war 3 on ps 3
Splatoon on wii u
Borderlands 2 on vita (so much better than the reviews would have you believe)
Well I just completed Uncharted 2 so you can take that off the list. Well, I'll still be trying to plat it. I completed it on Hard on my first time through. There were some pretty insanely annoying parts, like the train, but generally it wasn't that bad. Instant restarts are a great thing.
I borrowed Until Dawn off a friend and managed to plat it. I have to say that I loved it so much, I'm going for the platinum again on my yank account. Cracking game, yes, I said game!
Also playing DQH because it's adorable.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY on PS4, and that's it.
@617Sqn
I agree I think that is the one game the reviewers got wrong, admittedly I got it after it had been patched a few times but I think it's great, also it's the first time I've played a borderlands game so nothing to compare it to, I'm going to try the God of war collection on vita too as I hope the reviews on this were wrong helped that I've not played 1or 2 before
The Walking Dead: Season Two on Xbox 360
Borderlands 2 on Vita
Bought me a Halo 5 Xbox One, so I can also take a One home when I finally get to go back to my dear wife and kids. But instead of playing around with it and driving around in Forza, waiting for Halo 5 to drop, I picked the worst time ever to take up Bloodborne once more. Even PES is taking a backseat at the moment and I could hit myself in the head for always letting this happen: the entire gaming year builds up to these months and I've been impatiently awaiting the day the first "real blockbuster exclusive" drops, just to pick a game I already played and fall madly in love with it once again...
I am still psyched about Halo 5 though and it's sort of a symbolical release as well; the last 2 years I've seen too many a remaster and there wasn't a real reason to prefer either console over the other. My Wii U was actually getting most attention becsuse of some excellent exclusives, but with the arrival of Halo 5 it feels the gloves are off. Sure, 3rd parties are still more important for the most gamers, but I love 1st party exclusives so much! They're always games with huge budgets that aren't afraid to be different and they usually offer incredible value for money; just compare Halo 5 with its free DLC so everyone gets all maps to Battlefront where I have to pay an additional €50 to keep on enjoying the game after the first month.
@gingerfrog I was the same, first time with borderlands ..... GOW was my first time aswell, and loved it on vita, its well worth the asking price. People seem to forget that they are handheld ports!
@carlos82 am ignoring the cards part and playing like crazy every night trying to finish it which i know its not gonna happen in 2 weeks , me and me wife play LBP, sometimes i really wish to buy time in real life
@Boerewors my friend is sending me bloodborne to try it , i told him i cannot as am playing the Witcher , but he said that you could switch between games, but i find it hard that i can focus in 2 or more games in the same time. you know what i mean ?
MGSV is crazy time consuming when you can't game all day. Very fun 21% so far. My second playthrough will be much better
Diving back into Fallout3 because the hype is reallll
Guitar Hero Live, loving TV section of the game.
Managed to play a few different things this weekend as I've been putting my new projector through it's paces. Finished Tales from the Borderlands, and also played some of The Witcher 3, MGSV, Metro 2033 Redux and Driveclub, all in 98" 1080p glory
@animalovich I do, when I switch it needs to be to a less time consuming game else you never go back. FF13 last gen took me 2 and a half years to finish over 3 periods of time. I'm not going to let that happen this time around, if I want to finish a game (mgs v I'm looking at you) I'm saving a sneaky holiday day off work every year just to do that.
@SteveButler2210 What projector did you get?
@charlesnarles Im still sat below that point on mgs v and I know exactly how you feel. I'm taking a day off specifically to drill down 8-10 hours worth of missions.
I've been busy with a little game named, Until Dawn.. I'm shocked and ashamed that nobody is talking more about this game! Support first party greatness, people. Greatness Awaits.
I split my weekend in half with metal gear V and batman Arkham knight. I'm really loving the batman game. A lot of ppl put the game down because of the batmobile but I found it really nice. I just hate the riddler quests.
@themcnoisy picked up a BenQ W1070, it's incredible, and was under £500 as well! Got some pics of it up here: http://imgur.com/a/ydMAG (I uploaded a few on Friday, and added some more now after I tweaked a bit to make it a little bigger)
@SteveButler2210 What's the bulb life like? Looks brilliant.
@SteveButler2210 From the pics you uploaded looks pretty amazing , but I never thought using a projector for gaming
@themcnoisy so you mean focusing in one game and finish it, its much better for time consuming ?
@animalovich finish long games within a week or two was what I was trying to say
@themcnoisy I read around 2000 hours, which should give me a good 3 years or so out of it. After that only £70 a bulb as well, which is pretty cheap compared to some I've heard of.
@animalovich honestly it had never really occurred to me either, my only experience of projectors was the rubbish ones we had back in school. A mate at work convinced me to give it a go, so after a bit of research to find the right one I went in for a demo in store and was totally blown away by it.
Picture is fantastic, and there is absolutely no noticeable input lag as far as I can tell anyway, so it's ideal for gaming. Now I've tried it, I'd struggle to go back, it's definitely the way forward!
The Witcher 3 is going to be impossible to finish now though - I can't do anything in it for more than a couple minutes without stopping to take in the scenery!
@SteveButler2210 true , your pics is very convincing , as for the witcher i totally agree with you about the scenery.
@Timvp2120 i agree with you the Batman is just super amazing and the batmobile is very useful and enjoyable , but when it comes to the riddler i just want to smash the controller lol .
@stevie85 hehehe , just finished MGS V , and started The witcher 3 and am working hard to finish it before i receive my fallout 4.
Tembo the badass elephant
Battlefield 4
Call of duty advanced warfare
The order
Aaaand
Everybody has gone to the rapture.
