Boo! We love it when a public holiday happens to coincide with WAYP – even if Hallowe'en isn't technically, y'know, a public holiday. Oh, whatever – 31st October offers the perfect opportunity to settle down with some spooky games. But what will be raising your pulse rate? Freak us out in the comments section below.

Y'know, I'm not really planning to play any horror games this weekend – primarily because I haven't got any that I want to play. I may take a look at indie title Home, but otherwise I'm aiming to make some space on my hard drive by clearing out the odd downloadable game.

Since jump scares make me cry like a baby there'll be no horror games on the cards this weekend. Instead, I'll be finishing off Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and cheating on my PS4 by playing Halo 5: Guardians. The horror! The horror! [Nice trick, Alex - Ed]

While Oddworld isn't the first series gamers think of in regard to Hallowe'en games, a setting involving a scheme to turn a factory's slave labour Mudokons into RuptureFarms' Tasty Treats seems completely horror-rific to me. Therefore, I've conjured up my own devious plan to alternate playing sessions between Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee on the PSone and Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty on my PS4.

With the surprise release of another Minecraft: Story Mode episode, I have another review on my hands. But that's not going to stop me from wrapping up Uncharted 3 on PS4 and maybe even Halo 5.

I'll be torturing myself this weekend by speed running Outlast, before consoling myself with some Guitar Hero Live. This Sunday also marks the start of Push Square FC's foray into Division 9 in FIFA 16, so I'll be preparing for that, too. [#COYPS – Ed]

I've never been a fan of horror in games or movies, so I'm afraid to say I won't be playing anything spooky this weekend. I will, however, unlock the rest of the special Hallowe'en items in Rocket League, and if that wasn't enough of a treat, I may also hop into Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition to fend off the undead menace.

This weekend I will be creeping around Mum's dungeon in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth in an attempt to improve my dodging skills ahead of the game's new DLC, which should arrive on the PS4 later this year.

So, this weekend is Hallowe'en weekend and I can't think of anything getting me in the spooktacular mood better then Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 1 on PS4, along with a romp through Dracula's castle in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on PSone. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful Hallowe'en.
Will you be treating yourself to something tricky this weekend, then? Have you got a horror game lined up, or are you not a fan of things that go bump in the night? Eat some pumpkin pie in the comments section below.

honestly i'm not sure what i'm going to be playing, i'll see where my mood takes me
Time away at the parents so the height of my gameplay will be Lara Croft Go and maybe a bit of Triforce.
Destiny and Battleborn Beta
Mega Man X Collection (PS2): Finishing off Mega Man X4 as Zero, then moving on to Mega Man X5.
Final Fantasy XIV (PS4): Continue lvling up my Black Mage.
Knack (PS4): Just bought it for $13, so I will be starting this game this weekend.
Tales of Zestiria and Yoshi's Wooly World if I get to play anything this weekend. Who knows what I'll get into this Halloween weekend.
I finally got a PS4 with a lot of help from @JaxonH but I have no games yet. It is the Uncharted bundle but I played those to death on PS3 and this lacks mp.
I have Shadow of Mordor, Witcher 3 and Second Son on the way. Maybe I will try to get something off the PSN.
Still playing, guess what, Arkham City, with a shiny new platinum trophy on the way. After that though, I don't know what I'll play. Maybe some Tekken, some wrestling, or whatever. Since it's Halloween, maybe the scariest game I can think of.....
Skyrim?
AHHHHHHHHHH! RUN RUN RUN AWAY
Bloodborne! Such a great game!
Finally, finally platinumed dragon age inquisition, so I'm going for something easy and relaxing like final chapter of tales from the borderlands and maybe start devil may cry remake or borderlands 2 handsome collection 😊
Metro redux, Geometry wars 3 and maybe The bridge. Picked them up at fantastic price in the ps store!
I think I'll resume the play through of PS1 Resident Evil I started last Halloween.
Still playing Dragon Quest Heroes, albeit slowly as I've been busy.
@DerMeister Hated those damn things, why must giant spiders be a staple enemy in RPGs, there horrible!
@marston1983 Congrats you defo earned it!
Don't like horror games (although I don't mind horror movies) so it'll be Super Meat Boy on Vita and maybe start Final Fantasy IX today (as I'm away from home for the night) and Bloodbourne tomorrow (which has a little dash of horror to it I guess) absolutely adore Bloodbourne, Dark Souls is my favourite game of all time and this looks like it will be at least in my top 3, beaten the first 3 bosses so far and can't wait to get back to it to explore more of Yarnham!
PS4 - Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
Xbox One - Halo 5: Guardians
Assassin's Creed Syndicate... its stunningly good, completely agree with Gamespot's review (which is a first). My only minor criticism would be that the story is a little disjointed in parts, but it hasn't spoilt the enjoyment for me. Think some people are just creeded out as the scores for this game were all over the shop (6s to 9s) but for me there is enough in there that is fresh.
Also just a bit of Destiny helping a mate get some strange coins for his supercell off Xur.
Got a little further into Metro 2033 Redux this morning - part of that was a chapter called "Ghosts", how's that for Halloween gaming?! Seriously though I'm not normally very jumpy but the bit when you're listening to the pipes got me. Think it's because I'm still not quite used to playing games on this big a screen...
Might play some more Broken Age on the vita, and outside of that I just picked up a kindle so I'll be doing some good old fashioned reading!
@DestinationPs gw3 is brilliant - if you have it on vita I wouldn't mind doing the co-op trophies (although I'm not completely sure it has any)
Tonight will hopefully be finishing chapter 3 of Disgaea 5 and hopping into the random item worlds!!! (this is the good bit of disgaea Imo).
FIFA Sunday night Im Left Back in Sams push[] team, this is going to be tough. Hopefully we can get 1 more person to help in defence to help build up from the back (we play 4,3,2,1 and need sharp passing from the back)
I am also off work on Monday so hoping to get some Rocket League action then some more Disgaea. Its a tough life but someone's got to live it.
I'll be playing AC: Syndicate - which is good, but not as good as Unity as expected. I might add some Castlevania: SOTN or Lone Survivor in spirt of the holiday too though.
BF4 probably maybe some MGS still only 93% done on that, kinda burnt out on it atm though.
@themcnoisy
Getting co-op trophies sounds fun but I have it on the PS4.
I am glad I was able to rise a Destiny's clan in about one week. Now we are 12 active guardians.... so tomorrow we will start the last raid.... tried also the trials of Osiris but, damn, we lost badly the first two fights
Bit of Rocket League but mainly aiming to finish The Witcher before Fallout 4. I'm just about to influence who wins the war so I'm not far away from completion before retiring to a life with Yennefer. Then I'll be raring to go for Fallout 😃
Game of Thrones and Shadow of Mordor
Divinity and drive club bikey wikes
Fallout 3, trying to hit 100%. Only 4 quests trophies, 6 karma trophies (wich will be easy thanks to save file management), 10 hacks, 7 locations, 3 behemots, 14 pipboy bobbleheads, +-100 human kills and 4 custom weapons (sounds like a lot, actually isn't) to go for the platinum and then I will start the dlc. I will probably hit the platinum by monday and the 100% by Wednesday. Then I will follow it with a quick run of fallout nv so I can complete the story just in time for fallout 4 over 1 week and 3 days (HYPE!!!).
Oh and also some zen pinball on my psvita.
A return to the Witcher 3 and Heart and Stone. Becoming a little sidetracked completing the side-quests that I failed to do in the my run in the main game. And I finally completed Skellige's Most Wanted.
Zombie army trilogy, dying light and maybe my 100th play through of outlast!!!
I bought Uncharted Trilogy on Thursday. I've finished the first game on hard and got all the treasures. The reason i bought a ps4 was to get my hands on Uncharted and its as good as i expected. Will be doing it on crushing over the weekend.
I just got my first platinum trophy ever. I 100% Persona 4: Dancing All Night.
You might ask how this is my first, and the answer is for one, I only got back into gaming when the 3DS released, and I buy so many games that I never really loaf around to milk the last drop. It's always "on to the next one". Most times I barely put in more than a few hours. But this game really sucked me in.
And I spend a lot of my time on Nintendo platforms (and occasionally Xbox) so that's partly the reason as well.
Anyways, here's my lineup:
X1: Halo 5
Vita: P4 Dancing All Night (platinumed)
PS4: Tales of Zesteria.....Darksiders 2.....Divinity Original Sin
Wii U: Yoshi's Wooly World.....Fatal Frame
3DS: Chibi Robo Zip Lash
I played and finally Platinumed White Night on PS4! And on Oct 31St too. So now im gonna play some Grim Fandango and try to Platinum that before Battlefront releases.
Will be playing a lot of Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition and maybe some Dragon Quest Heroes.
@JaxonH Congratulations!!! And your not alone there man, I just got my first ever Platinum a few months ago myself, Rocket League. That's pretty much cause I didn't own a PS3 or any other Sony console since the PS2 and with so many games on various systems, I have a huge pile of games to play so when I finish the story in one, I am off to the next one even if there are trophies to get.
Still that's a great accomplishment.
@JaxonH Congrats! I've only got 2 (Rocket League + Apotheon) mainly because I only got PlayStation consoles last year and I've a huge backlog of games to get through not really too bothered with trophies there nice and I like the idea but if there too time consuming I just leave them and move to another game . Anyways congrats again!
I beat Super Meat Boy
Until Dawn! Just got it yesterday and played until midnight with my girlfriend. It is really good. If you're looking for a Halloweeny experience this game is perfect.
@Tasuki @Hego
Thanks guys
It did feel pretty incredible, but then I look and see at least 3 others here casually mentioning platinums they got, like it's no big deal really. And suddenly I don't feel that special lol
I finished Tales from the Borderlands. I picked up the first ep free and fell in love with it. I loved The Walking Dead but I enjoyed this much much more.
I've been playing Defiance alot. More Defiance this weekend
@JaxonH Yeah I like the idea of trophies and such but honestly if I were to try to get every trophy of every game I played well my backlog would be even bigger. I don't go out of my way to get them but if I get them cool. Sometimes I just trophy hunt when I want to play that game again after I beat it but other then that.
Vita: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, Borderlands 2
Xbox 360: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010, The Walking Dead: Season Two
@JaxonH getting a platinum is a big deal in my eyes and you need to shout it out loud so all of your brother and sisters at push square can congratulate you.so congratulations man 😊
@DestinationPs Metro Redux is excellent on PS4, you will not be dissapointed.
Drake collection, Super Meat Boy, and maybe, maybe, try to get back into Witcher for the tenth time. Still can't figure out what is so oft putting about this game for me. Really nothing will seem as good as it is in the shadows of the upcoming Fallout 4. My body is ready! The hype is real! Boston wasteland here we come!!
@SonyInfinity
You are right, I'm really impressed so far and I have only tried 2033. My goal is to complete it before I move on to last light.
@DestinationPs Part 2 improves nearly every aspect of the game formula. Better enemy AI, better maps, more involved story, and tighter gun play. Grossly underrated set of games IMO. I got them both about a month ago when the PS Store had them on sale for $7.50 each. A steal IMO. Really enjoyed playing them on the survival setting, where conserving ammo and supplies becomes very important. Could definitely use more fps games like this, IMO.
@SonyInfinity I agree completely about both Fallout 4 (can't feakin wait!), and the witcher 3. Everybody talks like the witcher 3 is so amazing and I just can't make myself enjoy it. I have tried for hours. It's like there must be something wrong with me. Nice to see I'm not completely alone.
@Aslanmagic am starting to play it today
@SonyInfinity
I have never played Fallout. The PS4 is my first sony console. Although I am very interested in Fallout 4. I only wish they would release a remaster of the previous games, like the Uncharted.
@DestinationPs Gamespot.com has pretty good article on the lore of fallout, interesting and worth a read. None of the games are connected, just in the same world. All you really need to know is that around 2150 the resource wars began. Countries fighting each other over oil, water, etc. All of that culminated into what became known as the Great War, about 50 or 75 years after the resource wars began. The great War lasted all of one day, as every nuclear able country launched all their nukes at one another, thus destroying most life on earth, and irradiated most of what was left. A very luck few people in America headed the warnings and entered "vaults" before the nukes were launched. These vaults were completely self sufficient in every way, allowing those living in them to carry on for generations. All of the fallout games, excluding part 2, feature a main character who for whatever unfortunate reason has to leave his vault, and in all of those it has been 200 or more years since the nukes were dropped. In that 200 or so years the radiation created mutants and all sorts of genetic baddies. Two main factions sprung from the wreckage of the US. The brotherhood of steel, and the enclave. The Brotherhood of steel made it their mission to find, collect, and save all lost advanced technology. The enclave also search for that technology but only to use it to destroy what they deemed the unclean irradiated species and try to bring the US back to its former glory in their own twisted way. Luckily for you, you do not actually have to know any of this to enjoy Fallout 4, because although it will be set in the world where the great War happened, it will involve a new vault and a new main character and probably explain everything that I just explained in even more detail. Buy this game, I promise it will be very much worth the price of admission.
One correction, Fallout 1 and 2 are connected as the main character in 2 is the direct descendant of the main character in part 1. Luckily for you though, none of that will have any impact on part 4 as it is located in an entirely different part of the country. (Boston and Not California/West Coast)
Give this game a try bud, you won't regret it I guarantee.
@tenderbeefcake Man I just can't figure out what it is that keeps me from putting serious time into it. Maybe it is the repetitive nature of the side quests, or maybe I am just burned ot on the whole fantasy setting in general. I respect the quality of the work CDPR has done, but it also feels hollow to me in some ways, and it seems like ALOT of the npc faces and gestures, along with the houses and structures are reused over and over again. I know it's a great game, and I LOVED Skyrim, but the Witcher just isn't for me I guess. In years past it would have easily been one of my favorite games ever, people change I suppose, lol.
@SonyInfinity
Thanks for taking time explaining the story. I will probably buy it, my backlog is huge but what the heck...
@animalovich Started it this week, amazing game, only beat four bosses so far but I've seen a good bit of the world, it's looking like a serious contender to be my favourite game of all time anyways wanted to say if you ever need a helping hand with a boss or even clearing out an area (two hunters are definitely better than one ) give me a shout my psn id is "shanehego"
@DestinationPs Will be well worth it man, and not a problem explaining the story. Any excuse to talk Fallout is good enough for me. Been playing it since all they way back to the original game, and I can say it is one of the few franchises that has gotten better and better with each iteration IMO.
@rjejr
This pic is for you. Please tell me you have at least one of those two items. Would be odd if I got them before you.
Disgaea 5, same as the last two weeks.
@animalovich I hope you enjoy it. At first I was lost and was ready to not play it anymore. Then I read up on it. Now I can't stop.
@Hego I was shocked from the game , but my friend who gave me the game told me I need to be smart and its not just a slashing and killing game , so I was like going to destroy the console the first day I played it , then I had to go read about it and understand how it works , and now I have just passed 2 bosses , and am really enjoying the game , sure I will add you 2 hunter better than one
@Aslanmagic yes , am really enjoying the game, but sure I had to read to understand the game how it works , coz last time I tried something that hard was dark souls on ps3 and was like ( hell no am not gonna play that HARD game ) but now I regret for not playing dark souls
@animalovich I've beaten 7 bosses by now and I have to say the bosses are so much easier if you have help with you (you can even have two other players in your world helping you, happened to me by accident when I rang for help, two other players joined rather than just one).
@Hego yes I totally agree with you , I had the same but only with 2 bosses till now , as am still new to the game , and its a smart move from the dev to make it for the players .
