A heads up ahead of potential impending financial problems: there's a North American PlayStation Store Flash Sale on the horizon. Eagle eyed North American PlayStation Store users spotted signage for some upcoming 'Survival Deals' on the digital plaza, though it's unclear just yet what it will entail. Given the name, we'd expect stuff like The Last of Us and Resident Evil.
Chances are that the offers will be revealed tomorrow, with the promotion sure to run over the weekend. It's good timing for our American brethren, as Sony's currently running an offer where if you spend $100 in the PlayStation Store through 3rd November, you'll receive a $15 PSN voucher as a reward. Considering there are so many games coming out at the moment, that seems like a pretty decent deal.

Is it common for there to be so many adverts on the NA PlayStation Store? Anti-smoking campaign and Slim Jim in the single screenshot alone! ^^
@get2sammyb - The Anti-smoking one has been up for awhile now.
As for the sell really hoping for Until Dawn. The first time it comes on-sale I'm buying it...
Not sure about until dawn, although I feel like it is something the wife would sit down and play with me. May give it a go for that reason alone. As always, everything pails in the blistering light of fallout;)
@get2sammyb The Slim Jim ad is because they are sponsoring the spend $100 get $15 back deal. The anti-smoking one has recently been removed from the Ps4 store. I'd guess that it'll be gone from Ps3 soon as well.
The Canadian site doesn't get that many adds. definitely not the smoking ones. and the slim jim logo doesn't show up on the 100/15 deal either.
Good news this, as I'm 40$ away from cashing in on that deal, after picking up price-reduced bloodborne and TO:1886.
@SonyInfinity Yep it sure does. I've had tunnel vision for Fallout 4 ever since E3. Will this be there 5th game of the year in a row. I have a feeling it will.
At this point I just assume their main line games will be GOTY. Was telling a friend the other day who is just getting into gaming that it can be important to look at the developer of a game before deciding on a purchase. Also told him Bethesda should be at the top of the list almost always.
I've been waiting for a good Halloween sale. Hopefully this is it.
I've also been waiting for a great sale on Dying Light (like $25/30) but it's on sale right now for $35... I doubt they'll have it at that price for three days and then lower it. That would really piss people off. Generally Sony waits at LEAST a week before doing something like that. Hahaha
@get2sammyb Yup.
Everything here has ads. It's gross.
So Grand Theft Auto 5 bundle is on sale for $29.60. Is the game fun online?
Why don't we ever get promotions such as spend £100 and get £15 in return. Most of the time we pay a premium for these games compared to our American counter parts. SCEE really need to up their game. To be honest I consider them one of the worst aspects of being a Playstation owner. Always seems we get the short end of the stick when it comes to store promotions.
@get2sammyb The 360 had a lot of ads during it's cycle too. It seems that the PS4 became like the updated 360, where the X-box One turned into the PS3. Kind of funny how it seemed to happen that way. Other than that, the ads shouldn't really bother, as it just shows that more sponsors are in favor of the PS4, which is good news for the system...as it racks in more and more boatloads of cash. I'm glad Sony is having the run that they are! I wish nintendo would start doing better too, as Sony and Nintendo are the best game system and best game companies around.
I've been checking the Sony blog, I assume that's the place to get the details once they're announced. I'm not really interested in survival games at all, so I'm hoping there's some decent discounts on JRPGs and PS2 classics. Usually these flash sales pique my interest in new games I've never heard of, so hey maybe there's hope.
What a freaking stinker of a flash sale. Extremely disappointed... No Until Dawn, No Resident Evil or TLoU
I would have got Until Dawn with out a doubt.
