Buying digital goods physically is rarely all that appealing in our opinion, but Sony's come up with a way to turn a bog standard PlayStation Plus voucher into a collector's item. Available from GAME in the UK now for an eye watering £59.99, the 20th Anniversary PlayStation Steelbook includes a 12 month membership to the Japanese giant's subscription service, a £20 PlayStation Network voucher, and a commemorative booklet – all sealed in a snazzy PSone steelbook shell.
Look, we're getting a bit sick of the 20th anniversary stuff now, too – it's been going on for what feels like the past decade – but we do like the look of this limited edition case. One thing that we think that the platform holder has cleverly identified this generation is that there's a lot of nostalgia for the original PlayStation, and we hope that it's going to come full circle by announcing that it's reacquired the Crash Bandicoot brand soon. C'mon Sony – bring the 'coot back!

That is pretty snazzy. I'd have a hard time passing it up if it came to the States.
Look sick, and good value for money as well! It turns out you get the steelbook for free
@mateq True, but sometimes PlayStation Plus vouchers do go on promotion. I agree with @Neolit, though, if you're buying PlayStation Plus and PSN credit, you may as well get this.
That steel case should be used for 'top 20 ps1, 2 and 3 compendium of games' why would you collect it for a used voucher?
I wish this was one NA. I'd get this just because you save money with the bundle lol.
The only disappointment with the PlayStation 20th celebrations is the lack of a game and/collection that takes advantage of that heritage. Could still get something at PSX since that's the place they would most likely announce such a thing.
Sell. The. Console. A. Holes.
Sick of the 20th Anniversary stuff? And you call yourself a PlayStation site? For shame!!!
Really nice steel book, not really my thing but that's cool, I'd rather that be a big PS1 games collection on PS4!
I'd happily pay for a complation with the Crash & Spyro trilogy's, Klonoa, Tombi, Gran Turismo, Ape Escape, Parappa & Um Jammer Lammy, Ridge Racer, Cool Borders, The Tomb Raider games, FF7,8 & 9, MGS, Resident Evil Trilogy, Dino Crisis.. Etc
@get2sammyb
Well if you look at it that way, I think the money you can get for that Steelbook will beat most promotions. Those will go for at least £15 on eBay.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Now that, I can get behind. I'd happily buy a second PS4, even at an inflated cost, if they made a non-limited version of the 20th anniversary PS4.
Of course, my PS Plus is due a renewal, so I'll pick this up like a diligent sucker.
I am a sucker for all this Retro stuff So i bought it Shame it doesn't have a date for it yet tho(didn't see a date for it) But i need a PS PLUS top-up soon & want to Top up my PSN Account so this is perfect(i.e £39.99 = 1 Year PS PLUS & £20.00 PSN Top-up. So that is the same price as this so i don't lose out at all) PERFECT
Sadly, we may never see crash coot again. Why oh why activision?
That steelbook is rather fetching.
Looks great haha
No intention whatsoever in renewing PS+ (PS3 only now, what is the point of having it? Answer: none) but if I did I'd be getting that. Is nice.
Crash shouldn't return. Ever. Let him rot in video game hell. There's a difference between good and bad nostalgia, he's firmly on the bad side. Below Bubsy the bobcat.
My ps+ is due for renewal in November anyway. If this comes stateside I'll grab it.
Why was I unable to resist this?
