It's been a disappointing week for Until Dawn fans. Supermassive Games announced a woeful looking rails shooter spin-off earlier in the week, while Sony's second marketing push has amounted to a new trailer and a free PlayStation 4 theme. There is, at least, one silver lining, though: the animated wallpaper is one of the better ones available on the PlayStation Store.
Free to download now, this theme uses the title's hour glass motif, as time ticks away from the release's ragtag cast. The upper section of the menu shows the skull from the game's box art, while the audio opts for some foreboding crashes and crackles. It's a really good theme, and we'll certainly be sporting it over the Hallowe'en weekend. Will you?

Should have slashed the price to $39.99 for Halloween week ... Give the game a second wind.

@DominicanGlory Agreed. There's so much they could have done. Alternatively, they could have put together some Limited Edition Hallowe'en bundles, stick the game in the box, and sell it for a promotional price over the Hallowe'en weekend.
Disappointing. I understand why they may have been cautious after The Order, but they had plenty of time to react to the positive reviews and great sales.
the game is nothing short but amazing - from start to finish
hardly any game had me that much impressed on the ps4 so far - technically and gameplay-wise, I just wished it was longer
@topic: the theme looks good, but my favourite is the journey theme ^^ it looks very good and the tune is so chilled ^^ although this is - of course - better suited for halloween ^^
I'm still holding out hope for a last minute Halloween flash sale... It's probably just wishful thinking on my part.
May have to finally swap out my anniversary theme. More to the point in this year of Witcher, Batman, MGS5 plus Fallout and others to come, I would never have expected that 2 of my favourite games would be Until Dawn and a car football game
i thought this game would end up being a clunky mess but these days im DYING to get my BLOODY hands on it. if it were on sale it would have been a NO BRAINER!

I got SO bummed out when I saw in the store that it's a static theme. Then I downloaded it, and the preview on my system didn't have a "top" screen, just grey coca-cola streamy band stuff.
Then I applied it, and it's exactly the one you have shown in this article.
So it anyone else is confused by the fact that the store says it's static, worry no more! It's the cool animated one.
its a new theme so should it not be the very first in the theme section? i cant find it anywhere !?!?! can anyone confirm that it is available in NA?

There was an impression piece on the Until Dawn VR experience posted on Engadget. It was fairly positive.
