Today, Bethesda revealed a special edition Vault Boy Xbox One controller - as pictured above. Maybe you're like us and immediately wondered if the DualShock 4 would getting the same stylish treatment? Well, according to Pete Hines, vice president of PR and marketing for Bethesda, the answer isn't a straight no.
"I don't have info to share on what products we may or may not do," Hines said to a fan on Twitter who asked about a potential PlayStation 4 version. "I can only talk about what's announced and out there." Okay, so that's not a yes, but it's certainly not a no either. All in all, we guess that no news is good news, and that the possibility hasn't been ruled out.

I hope they do just because I really like special-edition controllers. I have the Forza, Titanfall, and one of the Halo 5 ones for the Xbox One, so I might get this one as my fourth. I'm looking forward to doing the same sort of thing when I get my PS4.
Considering this one sold out before I opened my eyes this morning, I'm not too worried. I'd never get my hands on a DS4 anyway.

Fallout 4 is the xbox version of battlefront in the competition to be the best 3rd party console. I'm pretty impressed with the lineup so far. May get an xbox for my kids with Forza and Sunset Overdrive. I cant wait for Xmas!!! I mean to see my kids faces at Xmas.
@themcnoisy gotcha. Not sure I agree with Fallout 4 + X1 being the equivalent to Battlefront +PS4 with regards to third-party support though, for what it's worth. It's a great looking controller, but third-party support has to go far beyond a skinned peripheral to be much of anything, IMO.
Don't they have like an "exclusivity" deal with Microsoft to make Fallout 4 products and bundles on their platforms? Definitely not going to happen on PS4, at least not in an official way from Bethesda.
@Arcendus what @slampog wrote, battlefront advertised as ps4, fallout xbox. For these latest editions at least.
This will be interesting to watch. Unless there really is an exclusivity contract for hardware with MS I dont see Bethesda not making a custom DS4. There is likelihood that Fallout 4 will sell better on PS4 due the 2X install base so they would be loosing money by not doing it.
@Arcendus it seems pretty apparent he's referring to the xb1 controller .... which has everything to do with the article.

Sony is stingy letting anyone do a third party controller. If they weren't, well, then we wouldn't be forced to pay $60 for a DS4.

OT: This controller looks pretty sweet, but was sold out right away. Later I learned it wasn't an official but a PDP controller. Xbox has got some neat controllers already, I actually own more than I can use because of this...and there are actually 2 more I want, the Elite controller not included :S Sony is getting a bit better at this btw, with some beautiful Limited Edition consoles and the gold DS4 coming up; ordered that baby as soon as it came online, looks beautiful.
Bethesda made a mistake and now they'll suffer, good for them.
Keep it then ill get a Playstation Classic controller then.
I hate buying controllers if I really don't need them but I would definitely buy a fallout 4 controller! I've been a fallout fan FOREVER and have always purchased playstations. Sad that is true fans on ps4 might not be able to get our hands on a fallout controller.... Huge mistake!!
The only compelling thing about the Xbone is all the pretty controllers it gets.
Considering this game will undoubtedly sell better on ps4, I could see some sort of controller or something of the like. Probably post release day though, as I am sure Microsoft has paid then for some sort of exclusivity until then. Honestly though, the ds4 I got with my ps4 is still in perfect condition, and imo the best controller I have ever used. No rush for me to get another.
I feel kinda like Bethesda for some reason doesnt much care for Sony. What with the quality of their games on ps3.

Also considering they are supporting mods for XB1 first.. PS4 "at some point later down the line.." Cant help but feel MS is getting more of Beth's love for this one.
@Tasuki Lose his job? I doubt it. He's the head of his department. The President of PR and Marketing. If he decides to comment on something, then that's him effectively saying to the rest of the company "I think now is a good time to talk about this". He's the person who has been entrusted and hired by other execs to lead PR, therefore my point about growing some balls and actually answering the question is quite plausible.

Touche. As Capcom got Sony's money earlier this year to secure SF5 exclusive. Its a shame this is what its come to though.
@Dodoo Unless Sony or someone equal and more power has put a gag on him. Yes he might be head of the PR department but even you have to acknowledge that someone else is pulling his strings, that's now it usually is. It would like Reggie revealing what the NX is now. They are hired to just shut up look pretty and say what they are told to say.

Why are they labeling it as a wired controller when it states the wire can be detached? I'll definitely try to get one once they available again if at all.
