Why hasn't Dissidia Final Fantasy been announced for the PlayStation 4 yet? The game β which will launch in Japanese arcades later this month β is being built using hardware based on Sony's new-gen system, so it'll surely be a lock for the format in the future. We hope so anyway, because as this character trailer proves, the game's looking absolutely outstanding.
In the clip we get a good look at the Warrior of Light, who's based upon the Knight class from the original Final Fantasy. As in the previous Dissidia games, he appears to employ his sword and shield to attack and defend against his enemies. We're really impressed with how flashy this new version looks; there are some great particle effects on display in the trailer below.
Cross your fingers that the overseas arcade launch is a success, because we need this in our PS4s soon.

just waiting for the PS4 release (it's built using PS4 tech, it uses a PS4 controller we know it's coming)
please please please - im such a big fan of dissidia - it just HAS to come to PS4 (exclusiveley of course!)
It's going to come at some point, just a matter of when. After spending hours of Dissidia on PSP, a console game would be great.
Please add Alphinaud Please add Alphinaud crosses fingers
I am so glad this isn't a portable game
Another month another warriors game....
I NEED THIS
@themcnoisy What do you mean another Warriors Game? This doesn't play close to any Warrior game at all!
@Alpha sorry man meant Koei tecmo, I'm also sure I've seen that character on a previous tecmo game, maybe with a different weapon.
@themcnoisy no. Just... No.
@AyeHaley Me too, BUT... a Vita version (in addition to PS4) would be extremely cool.
I loved the PSP games. If it plays anything like that with those visuals, I am sold!

I've been wondering this for a long while. However, as is the case with nearly all JPN arcade fighters, it ends up coming around after a year or so. Plus, both Dissidia and Duodecim were great and sold incredibly well in the West so I'd find it quite difficult to NOT be able to justify the localization and porting.
