Well, this is a sight for sore eyes – Pokitaru's looking absolutely stunning in Ratchet & Clank on the PlayStation 4. The sunny seaside settlement was one of the more memorable locations from the original game, and developer Insomniac Games has done a great job repurposing it for Sony's new-gen system.
We see some awesome action in this two-and-a-half minute clip: a boss fight with a big beetle, plenty of Pixelizer firepower, and some downright delicious dogfighting. The game's due out in Spring 2016, presumably alongside the movie on 29th April. Will you be wrenching this one from your nearest retailer's store shelves? It looks really good, though I didn't like Pokitaru in the original game. Looks a little more interesting here, what with the squid attacking you.
heh I herd "Do a Barrel-roll" its looking ok im excited but still a little weary of it atm Still looking forward to the film though.
Want. Thank you. Notice this is on Insomniac's channel. Come on Sony, PUSH THIS!
Just recently finished playing through the first game and, boy, could it use a remake! I think this looks great, I'll definitely be picking it up.
The under water part looked really cool.
Ok I admit, this game looks pretty good.
But there's still one major thing concerning me- IT'S A MOVIE TIE IN. When was the last time you played a movie tie in that was great? In 20+ years I can't think of one- not ONE example.
I still cannot believe how good this game is shaping up. They're doing an excellent job rebooting the series in my opinion. I'm just hoping they make sure it's a platformer before anything.
@JaxonH Spider-Man 2 was excellent.
Movie tie-in or not, this game is looking pretty amazing!
@Quintumply @JaxonH I genuinely believe that this will be one of the best movie tie-ins of all time. There are a handful of good ones — Spider-Man 2 and GoldenEye are great shouts — and I think this will be up there with those games.
a new Crash Bandicoot, i really like it.
The more I see of this game, the more confident I'm becoming confident that this will be the return to form I was hoping for.
