Well then, we haven't had one of these for a while. Sony's rolled out a new firmware update for the PlayStation 4, which is mandatory. The update – numbered v3.11 for those keeping count – offers nothing other than system software stability, but you will need to download it if you want to connect to the PlayStation Network. It weighs in at just under 250MB.
Remember, you can download and install firmware updates in Rest Mode, and you can find full instructions on how to do that through here. It took us about five minutes to download the patch on a very average Internet connection, so it shouldn't take you too long. We'd recommend getting this out of the way before Fallout 4 arrives tomorrow.

So now it is a stability contest between the 3DS and PS4.
Good hopefully this resolves a recent issue i have had of the machine kicking me out of games with an error code.
Yet another pointless update.According to some well known & trusted sites it's system stability has been improved yawns I've permanently boycotted PSN because of the extremely ignorant PSN users & incompetent moderators.I prefer my tablet now to PSN.Thank god my PlayStation Plus runs out next month as i won't be renewing it as i payed £40 a year for PSN maintenances &no online gameplay
Update 3.10 actually made my PS4 usable as out of the box it has the 2.55 which won't activate the fan so it turned off within 3 minutes. Now it works as intended.
@andrew20
Nah, the 3DS is on another stability level.
The 3DS is so much stable you can stare at it and keep some of that stability yourself.
I noticed that all the free avatars I tried to download and apply to my account on the Vita ages ago (and failed) have now appeared as being usable on the PS4
