Apologies if you feel that the content mix hasn't been quite right on Push Square this week, but Fallout 4 really has been the biggest game to hit the PlayStation 4 since… Well, Call of Duty: Black Ops III. The point is that we loved the game and knew that a ton of you would be playing it, so we wanted to bring you as much coverage as possible. And with lots of expansions on the horizon, we're not done yet.

Fallout 4 - 9/10
Fallout 4 is a masterclass in open world design. Consistently engrossing and absolutely stuffed with intricacies, it's a title that'll keep you enthralled for hours at a time as you gradually unravel its desolate yet hopeful post-apocalyptic portrayal of Boston. Although it's let down by some disappointing frame rate issues, it's not enough to detract from what's otherwise one of the most atmospheric and beautifully brutal games on the PS4. Significantly improved combat, a constant wealth of gameplay options, and a heavy emphasis on player choice combine to create an adventure that's truly memorable.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III - 8/10
The sheer length of this review should tell you that Call of Duty: Black Ops III is filled to the brim with content. While there are some low points and pacing issues, the campaign's customisation, freedom, and verticality make it excellent to play with friends. Meanwhile, mutliplayer has more customisation and replayability than ever before, and Zombies is brilliant in its complexity and difficulty. While Ghosts may have bitten the bullet, Black Ops III reloads the franchise into a new, brighter era.

With any luck, these builds will help you hit the ground running when it comes to surviving in the Commonwealth.
Guide: What Are the Best Perks to Take in Fallout 4?
Fallout 4's perk system has seen a rather drastic overhaul from what prior games have offered. In some ways, it's more streamlined, while in others, it allows you more freedom to build your character exactly as you want. As always, though, you'll be swamped in options – but which perks should you take? With any luck, this guide will help you decide which abilities are worth investing in.

A Huge Happy Birthday to the PS4 on Its Second Birthday
Much like a nipper, the PlayStation 4 has been walking the walk for a while, but on its second birthday, it's starting to talk the talk, too. For those of you that don't remember, on this day two years ago, Sony's new-gen system launched in North America. The rest of the world was made to wait a couple of weeks as the Japanese giant built up enough inventory, but it was already promoting record sales of over one million units within 24 hours.
Will Fallout 4's Robot Butler Say Your Name?
When Bethesda showed Fallout 4 off for the first time at E3 2015, studio lead Todd Howard mentioned that your robot butler, Codsworth, would actually say your character's name if it was in the title's database - he wasn't lying, either. When this particular author started the game and called his vault dweller 'Robert', for example, we were delighted to hear Codsworth begin sentences with "Mister Robert". Truly, next-gen has arrived.
PS4 Exclusives Dominate The Game Awards' Most Wanted
Despite the brilliant Bloodborne still being the highest rated exclusive of the year, there's been some dissatisfaction with the PlayStation 4's exclusive offerings since launch. Next year looks set to change that perception once and for all, though, as Sony has assembled a dizzying roster of first-party software – and it's dominating The Game Awards' most anticipated list.
PS4 Firmware Update 3.11 Stabilises Your System
Well then, we haven't had one of these for a while. Sony's rolled out a new firmware update for the PlayStation 4, which is mandatory. The update – numbered v3.11 for those keeping count – offers nothing other than system software stability, but you will need to download it if you want to connect to the PlayStation Network. It weighs in at just under 250MB.
Ever Wonder Why the Classic Metal Gear Solid Theme Isn't in the Phantom Pain?
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a phenomenal game – which is just as well, as it could end up being the final entry in the series to benefit from the input of creator Hideo Kojima, who seems to be parting ways with Konami at the end of the year. However, as amazing as the game undoubtedly is, it is missing a vital ingredient for long-time fans of the stealth franchise: that iconic theme tune.

We normally let Ben Potter write the captions for his videos, but seeing as no one's seen him since this clip was submitted, someone else has had to step in. To be honest, what with all of the bombs and gun fire audible in the above watch box, we're starting to get a bit worried. Potter, message us if you're reading this, yeah?

Fallout 4 is love. Fallout 4 is life.
@Goob Preach!
Got CoD, then FO4 a few days later, haven't touched CoD since and been playing FO4 non-stop!
I'm loving fallout 4 the story is awesome ending and the gun play is fantastic
I'm hearing a lot of people are really dissapointed with Fallout. But also a lot of people are loving it. Seems to be quite the divide.
@LieutenantFatman People are complaining about graphics and minor bugs. If you just play the game you will see its huge and emersive and fun as hell. Last night I said " I'm just going to play for a few minutes before bed, just to finish upgrading my sniper rifle, then I'm going to bed on time " well like 4 hours later I look at the clock and its way past bed time. Now I'm tired as hell and have to go to work. That's what kind of game this is.
@tenderbeefcake @GraveLordXD I did the same thing, was just going to do a little brotherhood quest, turns out it took me like an extra 2/3 hours, was good though. Can't put this game down! Ended up going off at 3 with work at 8!
