The celebrations of last week are long over, which means that it's back to your regularly scheduled WAYP this wintery weekend. Apart from Just Cause 3 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, all of the big Christmas blockbusters are out now – but which ones will be holding the attention of our team over the holidays? Judging by some of these responses, all of them!

I'm returning to Yharnam for reasons you can almost certainly guess but ones I can't tell you about – yet. Other than that, I'll continue working through my PS3 backlog; every game gets 30 minutes, but if it doesn't grab me, it gets filed away. There's no other way to clear it.

I'm returning to Tamriel this weekend as I hop back into The Elder Scrolls Online. The new Orsinium expansion pack is, unsurprisingly, absolutely bloody huge - so it's going to be two days of stumbling through snowy mountain passes and delving into dingy caves full of beasties. Just your regular weekend here in the North of England, then.

With an overwhelming number of games that I want to play, I'm going to struggle to balance my time between Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, and hopefully squeeze in some NHL 16 and Rock Band 4. That's a whole lot of game right there.

The recent Push Square article discussing how PS2 games are coming to the PS4 was the best retro PlayStation news of this gaming generation so far. Therefore, I'll be playing Star Wars: Racer Revenge on the PS2 to celebrate Digital Foundry's coverage of the exciting technology that will deliver PS2 titles to modern gamers.

I'm going to be lost in the apocalyptic wasteland again this weekend as Fallout 4 addiction still has me firmly in its power armoured grip. Speaking of which, I've found the 'ultimate' power armour, the fabled X-01, and it's awesome.

I'll be playing some Deadpool this weekend, testing out the PS4 port of the Merc with a Mouth's very fun game that released a couple of years ago. If – and it seems unlikely – I've had my fill of guts, gore, and quips, then I'll probably be playing some Guitar Hero Live and Let's Sing 2016, excelling at the former and failing horribly at the latter. Someday, I will master Sia's 'Chandelier' – but this weekend won't be that day.

This weekend I'll be hopping between three big titles: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, and Star Wars Battlefront. I don't think I'll be leaving the house at all until I've finished all of them – it's just a shame that the weekend flies by!

I'm not quite sure what I'll be playing this weekend since here in the States we're coming up on Thanksgiving so I have some family coming in for that. With that said, though, I'm planning to get in some Secret of Mana on the SNES with my son this weekend. We are trying to finish that one up before starting Secret of Mana 2.
That's us out of gas, so it's up to you to pick up the slack. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

i'm thinking of going back and trying to finish some of the games in my PS3 backlog
not sure which yet though
@FullbringIchigo Good luck!
Dragon Age: Inquisition, couldn't get into it the first time I played it, but now I'm starting to love it, so much detail, so much to do
Started playing dmc definitive edition, I'm finding it rather boring and very linear, not a patch on the original trilogy.
Was also tempted to get star war battlefront, but with all the mixed reviews I'm unsure to take the plunge, I've heard so many people were unhappy and are putting them back on eBay. 😥
I'll be playing Jet Sat Radioooooooo and Conception II on the Vita.
@_get2sammyb That's a pretty good system of playing a backlog of games, to be honest.
@Anchorsam_9 Careful, a birdie told me that you don't actually own your purchased songs in Guitar Hero Live...
bought rocket league last night and I'll be playing some more Transformers Devastation
Thanks in part to the encouragement of @consolfreak1982 I picked up Dark Souls 2. It's started out ok but it'll take me a good 20 hours to form an opinion.
I hate to say it but I've sort of lost interest in Fallout 4. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I've got to a point in the story where I've met a character who sort of ruined the story in my opinion. I really can't say much more than that but yeah, I'm just sort of not bothered now. Anyone know if it's worth sticking with? The side quests I've got left are all by the numbers fetch quests for various factions and it seems to be "go to x, kill these guys, then come back/build something".
Am around the 40 hour mark in Zesteria, continue to be impressed with this game. Also working on my Bloodborne DLC build and loving P4DAN
Just upgraded to the 1tb star wars PS4 so gave Battlefront a go before immediately removing it to play Fallout 4, which is what I will mostly be playing. May also give Battlefront another go to see if I can get into it but first I have a giant Batman logo to finish.
Metal Gear Phantom Pain. What a game, I took a break and its made me apprciate the game even more. Its a pity Konami were pushing Kojima to put micro transactions in - and lucky they are not in the main game.
@get2sammyb I'm playing Disney Infinity 3.0 Rise of the Empire. Reme, ber a few weeks back when we were discussing the AT-AT Hotham level in ST:B and you said it was too hard? And I suggested it was meant to be that way b/c of the movie? Well my wife and I were having so much fun playing, until we had to take down those same walkers. I made my wife rage quit, it was insane heating her curse like that. I asked my kid this morning who told me it was really hard, and he's a really good gamer. Said his brother couldn't do it at all, "just distracted them". Must be something about those at-ats.
To put it in a context I know you can understand - rest of the game, Jak 1, At-Ats, Jak 2.
I've preordered Rainbow Six siege as myself and a few mates are all getting it. Can't wait, and will be trying the beta next week.
So this weekend I'll probably finish my play through of DmC... Its like Bayonetta 2 but good! (thought personally B2 was mega overated). I finished the first uncharted the other day, so might start the second one, but we'll see.
Oh and probably some more unfinished swan on vita.
Fallout 4 and might finish up GOT.
COD: BO3 for Double XP (going to try and hit my first Prestige), Fallout 4, a little Rockband 4 at some point to keep my Expert chops up, Yoshi's Wooly World, and Tales of Zestiria. I would also like to fit in time for Majora's Mask 3D or Bravely Default in there somewhere, but I have my doubts.
Vita: Velocity 2X
PS4: Transformers Devastation
I've also noticed that Super Time Force Ultra is on sale, might download that one too.
Gonna be playing Toukiden Kiwami this weekend and probably for months to come. Enjoying it so far even though the drop rate is atrocious for some of the mitamas and rare materials.
Stuck doing a project due on Monday. I have neglected Fallout 4 all week. I might be able to squeeze a few hours in tomorrow night. Other than that, nothing I'm afraid.
Fallout 4 and a bit of Mario Tennis Ultra Smash with the Girlfriend.
@irken004 Good decision on Rocket League
I'll be playing more Bloodborne this weekend, adoring it so far and hoping I'll be finished the story in time for the DLC on Tuesday. think I'm near the end of the game but I doubt I'll get it finished
@get2sammyb i'll need it, i have quite a few in my backlog
Fallout 4 (anyone else getting weird cell respawns? I have two Runaway's Holotapes for example. Tempted to try and get another Pip-Boy lol) and Battlefront (it can't really be as bad as I thought it was... can it?)
Destiny, Life is Strange, & Velocity Ultra
I'm finally home for break! I'm going to the store to pick up Super Mario Maker and Yoshi's Wooly World later today. I cannot wait to play those. I'm also replaying a few 3DS titles I never beat, such as Yoshi's New Island and Bravely Default. I only brought my 3DS and Wii U home for break due to limited luggage, so my XBOX One and Vita will come up with me for winter break. I'll probably pick up more games for them then.
@ericthecheese JSR is a good shout, man!
I've still got Uncharted 2 to plat. Rather fitting that I'm playing the game where you go to Tibet in this lovely weather. I've also been revisiting Sleeping Dogs, which I really hope gets a real sequel on console at some point.
3DS
Stella Glow- Aside from Fire Emblem, the best SRPG I've played since Jeanne d'Arc on PSP. Phenomenal game, and easily the best 3DS release of 2015.
X1
Rise of the Tomb Raider- Better than the reboot in every way. I'm so utterly hooked, if it weren't for Stella Glow sucking me away from my play through lately I'd have already finished it
PS4/Vita/Wii U
[nothing]
I think Ive sunk about 25hrs in fallout4 and did about 3 story quests I do have to say I feel it lacks the crazy quests from fallout3 though. Other than that I think it holds up to the hype pretty well.
Im also playing some battlefield 4, trying out the new map which I think is great. One of my favs allready!
@JaxonH hows Stella glow? I am a college student Who doesnt have alot of time for console gaming
Continuing my obsessive Second Son playthrough. Got everything but one shard that cannot be gotten till I beat the game. Now I just need to do the story missions.
May also finally beat Chibi Robo and go back to Splatoon. If my PS3 allows the usual Uncharted 3 splitscreeb with my bro. System is struggling to read discs, may be time to get a new one.
@Sanquine
I love it. Not sure if you ever played Fire Emblem before, but it's nearly as good as Awakening. Well, ok not that good, but it's good.
I live for good SRPG's. And finding a good one is becoming harder and harder these days. Fire Emblem has really been the one series that nails it every time (and I am BEYOND hyped for Fire Emblem Fates when it releases Feb 19th) but Stella Glow has proven itself to be among the greats.
NintendoLife gave it a 9/10 and I see why now. The game is just excellent. With the quick save system (just like Fire Emblem has) and 3DS ability to pause when you close the lid, this is perfect for short bursts, but also has the length and depth for a lengthy play through.
It's very much modeled similar to Awakening. There's a world map and you can progress to the next mission or build relationships in the barracks which grant new abilities and skills as your affinity with other members grows. The gameplay is also similar, although it does use the direction mechanic from FF Tactics, where the direction you're facing matters. Usually I dislike this mechanic but I love it in Stella Glow. Which speaks volumes.
You can equip orbs in equipment to grant special buffs, and of course you'll micro manage equipment to get the most out of it as you progress.
The story is also one of its strongest points. It may start out very cliche, but after the first hour or two the game REALLY opens up. Solid voice actors and writing make for a gripping narrative that really serves as the glue that holds everything together.
I have been praising this game non stop. It made me quit playing Rise of the Tomb Raider it's so good, which says a lot. It's one of the biggest sleeper hits I've seen in a long time. Went right under everyone's radar because they were expecting just an average game. But it turned out to be one of the best releases on 3DS, and easily the best of 2015. I say do not hesitate to buy this game. It's fantastic!
@DerMeister Thanks! It's one of my favorite from the Dreamcast era.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Tearaway Unfolded and the final chapter of Until Dawn (with all characters surviving at the moment). Other than that, I ought to play some of my huge backlog of games on the PS3.
I've been playing Battflefront for quite some hours already, which totally contradicts my feelings about the game. After playing 10 hours with EA Acces i had more than my fill, but since I pre ordered the game for €36 I figured I'd might as well keep it. And now I find myself coming back to it, while most of the time complaining about what the game is lacking.
Maybe I'm just filling the gap with some casual arcadey fun till Xenoblade arrives, or maybe it's the SW feel that Battlefront recreates so well, but I just keep on playing. I can't pinpoint what it is they're doing right, but somehow I always want to play just one more match.
Furthermore I'm playing RotTR, a game that truly surprised me. I liked the first one just fine, but wasn't too big on it, but this one is excellent. It misses the humor of an Uncharted game, but other than than I actually prefer this game over the Uncharteds; it just has more room to play it the way I want, I like the action better and there's a real sense of progression. Since the TLOU guys took over I expect UC4 to be evolved as well, but Crystal Dynamics is sure giving Naughty Dog a run for its money. It's just a shame the game was doomed before it even released with Fallout launching on the same day and TR releasing on just one platform :S
PS4: Final Fantasy XIV, NHL '15, Killzone
Other than that, I'll be watching hockey, and watching some new movies I just bought
Another session of Assassin's Creed Unity. I am actually enjoying the game now and the storyline is picking up. I am just hoping that Elise is not a wrong'un.
@JaxonH Wow thanks man! Will buy it
Been playing star wars battlefront most of the day with some Tales of zestiria in between, but will definitely be going back to fallout 4 tomorrow as a break was needed
On my PS4 I just finished Uncharted 1 of the UC Collection. Now I'm just starting Uncharted 2 as I type this. Uncharted 2 was amazing when I first played it in 2009 and it is one of my favorite games of all time. I'm trying to finish the collection before Black Friday and I get Fallout 4 and Until Dawn.
Little bit of Battlefront & Madden for me.
got to be star wars battlefront and maybe some project cars
I'm playing Star Wars: Battlefront for the most part. It's pretty good. I might play some Syndicate or Overlord 2 as well though.
Tomb raider for me this weekend. It's shaping up to be GOTY for me.
Ive been playing Battlefront online and Co-Op offline with friends. Also, I have been subjecting myself to The Super Star Wars Ps4 port(forgot how hard that was).
Bops3 multiplayer, even tho' the lag compensation is making me hate it!
Might have another look at witcher 3, but since the new expansion it's become buggy and rock hard!
