December's roster of free PlayStation Plus games are available now – well, in Europe at least. Those of you in North America will have to wait until the PlayStation Store updates later in the day, but it shouldn't be too far behind. The goodies this month include Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and King's Quest – Chapter 1 on the PlayStation 4.
We recently looked back at the subscription service's entire year, and determined that Sony gave away a whopping $1,100 worth of free games. But not everyone's been happy with the selection, as the number of retail releases has really dwindled of late. Which of your free games are you looking forward to playing this month, and what's got to change in 2016? Let us know below.

Glad I waited on gauntlet! Looks like it's time for another game day with my friends. Nothing beats couch multiplay or I'm a jaded old school gamer 😧

Heres to hoping for a cheeky little actioner like DmC (not neccesarily DmC before the "youre entitled" brigade turn up) in next months lot.
I can't say I am 'excited' by Decembers offerings but I will download Gauntlet for the nostalgia. I did enjoy the reboot of this on the N64 but this seems more in the traditional style.
I am not going to repeat my comments posted on other articles but I don't buy PS+ for the free games primarily and see them as a 'bonus'. Over the year though those 'bonuses' have been disappointing and haven't appealed. I hope that 2016 has more appealing bonuses...
Is Blood Dragon worth the download?
@ISawSilence Yes, it's very good, steeped in 80's nostalgia and the soundtrack is awesome.
Curious about the Kings Quest reboot but would have preferred if they offered the full season pass. I'll give Gauntlet a try too, love co-op games like that.

Freedom wars and Gauntlet it is for me, which is actually a good couple of games.

Im happy with this month's selection, but overall I havent been very happy with the free games this year. I think the biggest problem with PS+ is something no one is talking about- it is required for online play on ps4. Sony doesn't have to entice new PS+ subscribers with awesome game giveaways when they are already forced to buy it if they want to play online.
King's Quest and Blood Dragon are my top picks. I own the others already but will probably hop back in for the online play.
@themcnoisy Yeah it's beyond annoying that Sony thought only putting up the first chapter was a good idea. I mean a lot of games, such as RE Revelations 2, will simply give away the first chapter in an attempt to get you hooked. It's really frustrating that PS+ is required for online play, because I would really love to be able to cancel my sub if the continue put out stuff like this.
Freedom Wars would have been a better offer if GameStop (in NA) didn't have the physical version for under $5 all last weekend.
Still good to see a high quality retail title for Vita on PS+ again.

Kinda sucks that King's Quest is just the first episode. Aren't most Telltale games first episode free in the end?
Even drug dealers know that the first hit's free. As people said KQ being a ps+ entry is a little lame. But gauntlet is worthy so I can't complain.
