According to Famitsu magazine, the "scenario" for the first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake is complete. What this actually means is anyone's guess, but we'd wager that Square Enix is referring to the story and game design – not the actual development. The report does continue, however, that the team has been receiving advice from the studio assigned to Kingdom Hearts III, as both games are being built with Unreal Engine 4. Maybe it's further along than we think?
Exactly what the first episode in the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga will entail remains to be seen, but the publisher has promised that each instalment will consist of a "full-sized game". Apparently, the firm already has an idea of how many parts it will make, but it's not ready to discuss that with the public yet. Again, we'd guess that it will probably be a trilogy, but we'll have to wait and see. Are you still sceptical of this release strategy? Cut us with your Buster Sword in the comments section below.

I'm hoping this and kh 2.8 in 2016 and then kh3 in 2017 it makes sense since square have been making kh out yearly and not in the bad way
@SKC_Diamond More likely, KH 2.8 and FFXV in 2016 then FFVII remake and KH3 on 2017
Wait.... Just make 3 games. Each disc is the exact same as the original 3 discs of the ps1 title. Installment 1 could end after Aerith dies and you fight Jenova. That could be the final boss. It kinda works to be honest. Back then they made an over world across 3 discs, I'm sure they could do the same here. I'm kinda finding faith in this. Still curious how it actually ends up. Interesting nonetheless
Wonder if the first scenario will be mainly Midgar? Any talk of an open world at all, or all corridors? This could be so good, or so bad.
Unreal engine eh? Could be good, I assumed it'd be on FF15s
@Alpha disc 1 is way longer than 2 and 3. Don't think it'd work splitting up the games exactly like the discs.
@Alpha That's a huge spoiler to drop for all the people that will be playing FF7 for the first time, pretty harsh.
They haven't just changed the combat. They've also changed the way Sephiroth looks.
@LieutenantFatman In fairness it's one of those spoilers that just doesn't matter anymore, everyone who knows anything about FF7 must know about that by now. If not, good luck not finding out in the run up to the remake release, it'll be mentioned several times in every article comment thread I suspect!
@kyleforrester87 It's such a shame, people who know about major plot points before they happen won't get the same experience. It is a huge part of the story to be ruining for people. I would have to disagree and say it does matter, I think it's usually worth giving people a nudge and asking them to be more considerate.
I still think this could come out before FF15 XD I wouldn't be surprised I mean.
Anyway, I can't wait to play this beauty I love it when a remake looks radically different but still the same (if that makes sense) Its fun to compare assets and cutscenes between the original and remake.
first scenario could mean anything, it could just mean that the Mako Reactor Mission is done
@LieutenantFatman Meh, maybe. I see what you're saying but I just think it's unavoidable. One example, there is a song on a recently released FF7 music compilation called "Aeris Dies" and that's just the lyrics over and over again.
It's like Darth Vader being Lukes father. (I've actually not seen the original trilogy, but like everyone I know that!)
More important is the journey to that point and the character development that ensures her death matters, that's still going to be a good experience for those playing the game for the first time.
@kyleforrester87 Nooo, those musical monsters!
I see your point, although personally I will do my best to avoid spoiling it for others. And who knows, maybe Square will change how things go down, hehe. They have hinted it won't be exactly the same story.
@LieutenantFatman please, the only way people could not have known that is that they are just starting to get into gaming or that they have been living in a cave for all their life. I knew about this long before I even liked final fantasy
@Nicomg5 I knew about it before I was even born. Trumped you!
So they have finished upto the first scorpion robot in the first reactor then.
@LieutenantFatman how? That's the plot to the original ps1 classic that came out in 1997. Everyone should know that part that happens at the end of disc 1. It's one of the most biggest things on the internet. How can you not talk about it? It's gonna be remade in the new game. Heck I knew about that event before I played a single final fantasy. I know people that only played up to cloud cross dressing and they know of that plot point. The gane of getting remade so it's possible they make it so she dies elsewhere or a different way. So as for spoilers for the new game, it's unkown. It's one of those things that is also kinda unavoidable. Cuz you know it will be in articles. Plus square also said its gonna be different from the original in other aspects as well. Could be cool if they re did Crisis Core and even a playable version of Advent Children lol. Or a Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete "Remake"
I hope Cait Sith dies in the remake....
Actually.....SPOILERS:

I guess he kind of does in the original anyway
@kyleforrester87 hmm.... Maybe they would move content from the original disc 1 to disc 2 and 3 to balance it out. Remember square isn't making it the same as it was, also story.
@kyleforrester87 SPOILERS
Cait sith is a robot made by the guy in the shinra remember? So technically his body dies but he just remakes another cait sith.
@Alpha SPOILERS
Yeah, isn't he being controlled by that guy remotely too? To be honest that entire character is a mental concept.
@Alpha I can imagine some sites putting it in the review that certain major events happen when the game releases. Hopefully not though. I think it's nice to use spoiler tags like you guys have done above. There are still a few people out there who are not aware of these plot points as they had almost no interest until the remake was announced.
@kyleforrester87 SPOILER
yea he is. I just remembered his name. He formed the WRO in Dirge of Cerberus. Reeve Tuesti is his name.
@LieutenantFatman yea not everyone knows the smaller stuff soninusually invlude the spoiler tag whennits something plot wise not alot of people know. but Aerith is a spoiler yes but as I have said its basically common knowledge. I agree though, I would rather have not known before hand when I played it..
And I really hope reviews doesn't do that either. That would ruin it for a lot of people. Maybe I'll take a break from the internet when it comes out lol. Or there spoiler free reviews.
@Alpha Good idea, I should really take a break from the interwebs now a certain film is out. Online is a dangerous place!
@LieutenantFatman my thoughts exactly lmao
@LieutenantFatman my thoughts exactly lmao
@LieutenantFatman yeah I was Pissed at that to be honest. Saw the trailer and thought that this was a good way into final fantasy, and boom. I huge spoiler. Some people ey!!
