Y'know what this industry's been lacking lately? Obnoxious countdown clocks! These things were all the rage a few years ago, as publishers pimped their impeding announcements with enigmatic timers. And it looks like Bandai Namco's trying to resurrect the age old marketing method, as it's launched a new website counting down to Monday.
There's not a whole lot to go on: the source code mentions clues which will reveal the identity of the #MysteriousGame. Over on Twitter, the publisher wrote: "Can you feel the hunger?" That suggests some kind of God Eater localisation to us, but would it be going to all of this trouble for such a niche series. Pac-Man, perhaps? Guess we'll find out soon.

Tales of iOS.
Tis the year of massively disappointing announcements.
As much as I would love to see something regarding Tales of Berseria (NA confirmation plz!), I highly doubt that the comment they left applies to it.
Soul Calibur? Probably not.
It seems like Namco is past the whole "let's devalue and nose dive all of our long standing franchises with the free to play - and micro-transactions model".
@Kellanved It's been an amazing year, so I guess we can't complain if this disappoints!
It's God Eater, source code indicate that
well they haven't mentioned anything about next years Dragon Ball game yet, so maybe it's that
(after all they are contractually obligated by Toei to release 1 console DBZ game a year)
Slim odds of it being a new Armored Core game for PS4, but I can hope!
God Eater confirmed
It's a countdown to Harada laying down the gauntlet and challenging Ono to a glorious fight to the death on top of a cathedral whilst epic organ music plays.
Or it'll probably just be something else.
Castlevania could be in play, doubt it though.
@TheIronChimp Yeah Riiiidddgggge Raaacerrrrr. Your in first place keep going!!
@Davs_Due agreed, hoping for a ps4/Vita cross play of God Eater 2, that would be awesome.
In my opinion the only company to pull this off was Atlus with the SMT IV: Final reveal. They linked it to social media hashtags and once it reached 10,000 hashtags the game would be revealed. (It also had parts of the countdown fall off over time revealing parts of the logo along with the hashtag count adding to the overall hype)
@vegeta11 that's Konami dude
PS4/Vita game honestly
Hunger games rpg, that'd be nice but won't happen and I don't see Namco banzai Bandai Namco producing it
J Stars Victory Vs DLC. Added series- Kinnikuman, My Hero Academia, Cobra, Deathnote, Slam Dunk and Food Wars. Lol
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers!!!!!!!!!
............Go Go.
Hopefully its something for ps vita
PAC-MAN AND THE GHOSTLY ADVENTURES 3! :0
@shonenjump86 would just be easier to make a J-Stars 2
I'd go for a new Splatterhouse game.
I'd be more than happy with a new ridge racer, but only if they went back to basics without all the super woopy boosters and whatever else they have ruined the series with. A remake of RR type 4 would do me.
I decided a long time ago that I can't be arsed to even care about this kind of malarkey. Think I'll wait until we are inundated with countless posts, tweets and links to videos, screenshots, titles and some rational, sane announcement of whatever fun they're throwing our way.
One interesting point. It's common knowledge that Spielberg is working on the film version of that brilliant book,"Ready Player One," (No kidding, it is a brilliant story) which as we all know, owes its success to the genius idea of having people in the year 204x, obsessing about games, films and TV shows from the 1980's. Those chaps and chapesses from Bandai Namco might well be the first gaming house to start cashing in on the vibe.
