We're not entirely sure how popular The Elder Scrolls Online is these days, but we're going to guess that it's not quite as popular as it perhaps should be. This theory is backed by the fact that earlier tonight at The Game Awards 2015, Bethesda's Pete Hines announced that the company would be giving one lucky player $1 million in the near future. Yep, that's a guaranteed spike in active users right there.
And yes, that one lucky player could well be you. All that you have to do to be in with a chance is fill out an entry form and play the game at some point between now and the 10th January. No, really, that's it.
You can find more details by clicking through here, but we'd also recommend checking that you're actually eligible to enter by giving this page a read, as some countries of residence aren't listed.
Even if you don't get your hands on the one million dollars, 1000 entrants will win 3000 crowns - the title's premium currency - to spend however they wish. Okay, so it's not exactly a substitute for the grand prize, but it's something, at least.
Will you be logging into The Elder Scrolls Online for this? Feel free to send some of your winnings our way in the comments section below.

I'll try this after exams
@NomNom Hey, you win this and you probably won't need your exams for anything!
@ShogunRok 1 million isn't as much as it used to be. I can probably use it to pay off my tuition, car and house mortgage, and have enough left over for a bigmac combo.
@NomNom Well, that's put a dampener on this party.
@ShogunRok that it does, but hey, paying off debt is always a fun feeling. It's more liberating then most vacations.
How much are frikkin lasers these days anyway?
Wow, they've just turned this game into a scratchcard.
They also said that ESO was 60% off on PSN. I checked the UK store both during the show (about 4am) and just now and the game is still £54.99. That's an expensive bloody scratchcard.
The highlight of the Terms & Conditions has to be this clause:
"If a winner is from Canada he or she, as a condition of winning/redeeming a prize, must correctly answer a skill test question." How gutted would you be if they call you up and you don't know the answer.
Well I'm playing anyway at the moment so may as well enter!
@NomNom take that pile of cash and move to a cheaper country to live like a king.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi not a bad idea, actually.
I suppose this'll sell a few copies, will be booting up the game later, perfect excuse to start this game.
If I win could just play video games for the next 20 years. You do not get the million straight off its $50,000 a year for 20 years. So like they are paying you a salary every year.
