Sony's released a slew of PlayStation 2 games on the PlayStation 4, and they've all been enhanced with Trophy support and presentation improvements. But how good do they really look? We've compiled a handful of gameplay videos posted by the PlayStation maker on its official YouTube channel so that you can get a good look at the upgrades. In short, they still very much look like last-last-gen games – but the likes of Rogue Galaxy stack up surprisingly well.

They look good enough to me.
Just bring some of the old frantic WWE games, would be awesome for couch fun!
I still need a decent burnout game for my arcade racing itch
War of the Monsters was the PS2 game I always wanted and never had! Me and my friend spent hours and hours playing the demo!
Should I buy it?
@gingerfrog I agree. The burnout games were and still are my favorite racing games.
Look fantastic, I took a break to try rogue galaxy. Still amazing after so many years.
@Scollurio I agree but with THQ gone, I doubt that will happen.

@AFCC Yes buy it! I played that game for years and it's one of the reasons I still keep my PS2 around.
Getaway was my favourite game on PS2 but not sure we will see that again. Was hoping they would make a new one for the PS4
If you have a PC (even a semi-decent PC) you can simply use PCSX2, which plays most PS2 games rather well. And if you are like me and have a HUGE library of PS2 games on disc, and don't want to purchase them TWICE (or even THREE times if you got suckered into the PS2 classics on PS3) — then PCSX2 is your best bet and best friend. It even supports Dualshock 3 & 4 controllers. Silly to purchase PS2 games multiple times! I despise, absolutely DESPISE Sony for this move. Just make WRAPPERS for PS2 disc games! Make a list of compatible PS2 games, and write downloadable wrappers (kinda like WINE for linux) — which would essentially be the same wrapper being used for the ps2-classics (not sure if they are truly ported on PS4 or not) — because on PS3, all PS2 classics were a simple wrapper with an encrypted ISO of the PS2 game.
Another fun-fact: PCSX2 allows you to upscale games to 4k (if you wanted resolution that stupidly high for a ps2 game lol)
@rdtg Well considering that I never had rogue Galaxy on PS2, I lost San andreas, and always wanted to play Dark Cloud, I don't really mind a buying them again. But that's just me.
It's a testament to how well Level-5 used the PS2 that Rogue Galaxy still looks as good as I remember it. Normally you get that thing where you're like "Oh god, I remember this looking better..." but I don't get that with RG.
@rdtg All those options you just said are still options. As I said elsewhere, Sony haven't taken anything away, they've simply added an additional choice. You can still play your PS2 games on your PS2. You can still play your PS2 games on an emulator. You can still, and let's not pretend this isn't the most common choice, pirate PS2 games and play them on a PS2 or emulator. None of those things have gone away, it's just that if you don't already own those games you can buy digital versions that play on your PS4. That's a very, very odd thing to "despise".
I say this as someone who still has quite a lot of PS2 games (and quite a shaky hand). There's just two separate issues here. One is what you'd like to have happened - you and I would obviously like it if we could put our discs into our PS4 and play them. Then there's what you've actually lost by this decision, how it's actually affected you. We haven't lost anything, and it's only affected us by giving us an additional way to play any PS2 games we don't currently own. Not getting what you want as an additional bonus isn't the same as losing something or as being somehow mistreated.
Wow, never played Rogue Galaxy but it looks awesome. Dark Cloud didn't look as good (just because the original models were pretty basic) but I'm not sure what the actual gameplay looks like, might be more interesting than the cut scene they showed.
Wow, these look pretty dang good. I mean, they're still PS2 games, but the clarity is amazing.
@KashMoney Thanks for the opinion Will buy on christmas !!!
They look.....like they did 10 year's ago? Hardly amazing and if they can bring FFVII out for £8.99 why are they charging £15 for these, it is christmass I suppose them christmass bonus's won't find themselve's
They look worse than PCSX2, what a facepalm
Got Dark Cloud don't care if it looks the same as it did way back when it came out still an amazing game
