After the madness of PlayStation Experience last week, this author was looking forward to a much quieter shift, and fortunately that's exactly what he got. Still, Square Enix did temporarily attempt to upset the apple cart by revealing that its Final Fantasy VII Remake would be episodic – though not quite in the way that you think. Meanwhile, Sony absolutely dominated in November's NPD report. Like, to a record breaking degree. Yowza!
Reviews
Final Fantasy VII - 9/10
Whether you believe that Final Fantasy VII is the greatest entry in the series or not, the truth is that it's still an excellent role-playing game. Even 18 years after its original release, its overall quality is clear to see, despite its often dated visuals. A superbly paced plot, a brilliant cast of characters, and a punchy battle system combine to create a fantasy that remains an absolute classic, and a game that's well worth playing all over again.
Fat Princess Adventures - 7/10
Fat Princess Adventures won't be winning any awards for originality, but as a casual co-op game to play over the holiday, it's a solid choice. The combat is shallow, but fun nonetheless, and the game makes it easy to switch classes and items to keep things interesting. It's made the transition to hack-'n'-slash surprisingly well, and while there are many hoping for the traditional multiplayer to make a comeback, this spin-off holds its own as a family friendly action game – so long as you turn the gore off.

November 2015 NPD: PS4 Smashes Xbox One in Important Holiday Month
It looks like the PlayStation 4's narrow loss in October's NPD report was just a blip, as the system has responded with some record breaking sales in November. According to the Japanese giant, its box was preferred to the Xbox One during the busy Thanksgiving period in the United States, with speculation putting its performance for the month in a dizzyingly strong position. We don't have access to the official data here at Push Square Towers, but the numbers that are being touted are astronomical.

Pretty good month all in all. Looking forward to Far Cry Primal and of course Uncharted. Once I have had my fill wandering the wasteland I think I may go back to Witcher and give it another go. I was a little burned out on the whole fantasy thing when it released and didn't give it proper attention, but after playing so much of Fallout I am hankering for another great open world adventure.
