'Tis the season to play your backlog so there's not much new on the European PlayStation Store this week. The biggest arrivals include Assassin's Creed Syndicate's beefy Jack the Ripper add-on and PaRappa the Rapper 2, which is launching as a PlayStation 2 port on the PlayStation 4. There's also some free DriveClub content and a ton of holiday stuff in Rocket League, too.

Any new news on the EU version of Towerfall Ascension on Vita, Sammy?
If I'm not mistaken, NA get it today.
@xxAcesHighxx Will try to find out. Doesn't look like it's coming out today, though.
Is that the Dragon Valley update for BF4? That game has totally redeemed itself from launch
Blazerush looks like it could be fun in local mp and a related topic, anyone heard anything about trakmania on ps4?...havent heard or seen anything since the initial announcement
@SouthTippBass yea it is...map plays brilliantly too
@get2sammyb Is there a typo for the DRIVECLUB dlc? As I just checked the store and the vehicles are priced at £1.19
@get2sammyb No PS3 section AT ALL? boo hiss
Are you covering the PSN weekly holiday sales in the US? The first week was supposed to end yesterday but the deals are still up. My kid got a $20 PSN card for Hanukkah so I told him I'd keep an eye out.
Please don't make me use the US blog, it's a horrible mess and gives me a headache.

Summon Night 5.
Any word on this coming to the euro psn? Got an email from GAIJINWORKS this morning saying it is coming to the US psn today but nothing about the European release.
And the physical copies are still being pressed so they won't be sent out till the new year.
@rjejr
Not sure if this works for you:

@sinalefa Thanks. That's where I've been checking. But if you look on the right on that page it says "Week 1 offers end 12/14". That was yesterday. So I'd rather Sammy cover it here, where I am all the time anyway, then having to keep checking back in the store waiting for it to update. Plus I knwo Sammy will do a much better job separating it into PS Vita, PS4 and PS3. I'm still only interested in PS3.
Which reminds me, wasn't Resogun one of the main reasons to buy a PS4 at launch? Its listed as a PS3 game now.
Star wars battlefront deluxe edition content? Do you mean those 3 weapons which are already in the game?
Also who is paying £25 to not have to bother playing Destiny for a few hours
@rjejr
The PS4 version was the first one to arrive, and a year later it hit the other two. I got it a few days ago and I was not too impressed.
Last week I was waiting for Cannoli that should have hit on Tuesday, but it hit on Thursday, so it seems they are getting late with the updates.
@sinalefa I just checked the store again and it did update, but the comment on the side stills says Week 1 ends 12/14. Nothing on sale that would interest my son this week either.
@rjejr
Thanks, Rob! There are a bunch of PS4 items I am interested in.
Hope your PS4 comes sooner than later.
What is this Destiny lvl 25 hunter pack? Does this mean they charge 30euro to buy a character at lvl25? Please tell me that is not true.
@sinalefa Make sure to save some money for your Cereza amiibo.
I don't know if you play SSB or not but you were the first person I thought of when they revealed her. I'll be buying the amiibo, but not the DLC. Same for Cloud. $12.99 amiibo should unlock the DLC, don't ya think?
@rjejr
I am getting all amiibo so that's covered.
And you are right, amiibo should get us the character DI style. Cloud is a maybe for me.
@sinalefa How can you write you are getting all amiibo but only say maybe for Cloud? That's so wrong. Sorry, that's the FF fanboy in me typing a knee jerk reaction. FFVII is my Achilles. But I still might not even get him myself, need to see what the finished product looks like. But probably. Hopefully he'll at least look non-offensive.
@rjejr
When I said Cloud is a maybe I meant the DLC as the amiibo is a given. Just to let you know I got the PC remake of VII that recently dropped in PS4.
Of the Smash DLC I only got Mewtwo cause it was free, Ryu and Bayonetta. I wish those characters would be cheaper or they offered good bundles to get them all.
@sinalefa Ah, sorry. Yeah, I completely read that wrong. That's funny, my kid also bought Ryu and Mewtwo was free, and just recently they spent $2 on the Miiverse level. Mostly b/c S&S2 was on sale for $16 and they had a $20 eShop card. Don't think they would have purchased it otherwise. They have no vested interest in Cloud or Bayonetta. They're too young for the Bayonetta games and I've been holding out for an FFVII remake since before they were born. They'll probably be old enough for Bayonetta by the time the FFVII game(s) finish. That was supposed to be a joke, but I think it's probably accurate.
As for SSB and amiibo cost, here's some $ #'s somebody on NL pulled together for me. Guess I should credit him/her. @Adamario I wonder if s/he'll get a reply if s/he doesn't have an account here? hmm, guess we'll find out.
"Assuming that the new Mii costumes will be $0.75/$1.15, it would cost $103.18 to buy all the DLC on Wii U and 3DS. If you can get all the amiibos at MSRP, assuming you're getting both ROBs and assuming that the Retro pack and the Mii Fighters are the only bundles, that's $758.45 plus tax. Include the price of the games, and that's $961.61 to have everything on both consoles. If you factor in getting the consoles, assuming the cheapest options of a $200 Wii U and a $60 2DS refurbished from Nintendo's website, plus a $19.99 amiibo adapter for the 2DS, that's $1,241.60, or approximately one student loan payment for me. Plus tax."
Makes me feel better about all the money I spend on Disney Infinity and SKyldaners and someday Lego D. And let's face it, I have 2 sons, I was going to spend the money on toys anyway, at least this way I get to play w/ the toys w/ the wife as well.
