'Twas the night before Christmas and all round Push Square, the team were playing Rocket League in abhorrent knitwear. Sammy was scoring goal after goal. "Stop," screamed Robert, "Or you'll be getting coal!" So we changed the game – TowerFall the choice. And we all played till Christmas in jovial voice.

I've saved Fallout 4 specifically for Christmas, so I'll be hammering Bethesda's latest over the holidays. When I'm not wandering the wasteland, I'll be catching up on some downloadable games – Three Fourths Home, Contrast, and Actual Sunlight are all on the agenda.
Ben Potter, Video Editor
I'll be dipping into an old favourite over the holidays: Resident Evil 6. It's far from a perfect game and is easily the worst title in the legendary horror franchise, but when the embrace of family draws near, four campy, over-the-top co-op campaigns should provide all the distraction my brother and I need to stay sane. Merry crimbles, etc.

This Christmas, I'll be aiming to put a dent in my backlog before the great Push Square machine lurches back to life in the New Year. Fallout 4 is definitely my main target as I want to put it to bed once and for all, however I also plan on giving some time over to a few other titles, such as Yakuza 4, SteamWorld Heist, and Elite: Dangerous to mix things up a bit.

I've been telling myself for weeks now that I would put aside time to finish Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm hoping that I'll actually follow through on this finally. First though, I'll be playing Episode 4 of Minecraft: Story Mode, as that is the next review on my schedule. And then spread throughout the wonderful holiday stretch, I'll play some Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege and NHL 16 – games that I can easily go back to again and again for short stretches of time.

I'm really looking forward to focusing upon the Invasion training mission in Star Wars Battlefront as we pass around the DualShock 4 during our family Christmas. I've associated snowy Hoth with the festive season since 1980, and I know my brother will buzz from DICE's exquisite visual presentation when he pilots a snowspeeder across the powdery white plains of the remote ice planet.

Joy to the world, the Lord is come... and let earth play its video games! There's much to celebrate for the rest of the year, and I will express that by getting into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I aim to unwrap Shovel Knight and Bloodborne: The Old Hunters as well while I'm at it, and by travelling to Virginia to hang out and play games like Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris with good friends, I'll be closing out 2015 on a bright note. Oh, and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, readers! Many thanks for your support this year!

Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas in our household without the time honoured tradition of Rainbow Six: Siege. Nothing else encapsulates the festive period more than getting together with your best buddies and coming up with innovative and intricate ways to virtually murder your fellow man. God bless us, everyone!

I'll be indulging in plenty of Just Cause 3 over the holiday period, because nothing brings in the Yuletide season like blowing up a Mediterranean military base using solely a grappling hook. Once the inevitable family visit occurs, I'll be breaking out Guitar Hero Live and Just Dance 2016, and all of that still doesn't account for the games that I might receive during Christmas. *cough*WWE 2K16*cough*

It's here already! Christmas is back and this year I'll have plenty of time to clear some of my backlog. I'm hoping to get through Just Cause 3, Rainbow Six: Siege, Fallout 4, Nuclear Throne, Bloodborne (yeah, Sammy has been nagging me to play this for ages), Star Wars Battlefront, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III – my list is practically endless. [Add ICO and Shadow of the Colossus to that, Simon – Ed]

I'm hoping to find one or two PS4 game-shaped presents under the tree this year, so what I'll be playing this Christmas is somewhat of a mystery. Until tomorrow's festivities unfold, though, I've got King's Quest Chapter 1 to keep me occupied. Plus, let's face it – there's always time for Rocket League. Happy holidays!

Happy Holidays all! My Christmas is going to be filled with a lot of gaming. On the Xbox I will be diving in to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2. On the PS4, I'll be playing WWE 2K16, and a bit of Tales from the Borderlands. And finally, I'll play a spot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time on the SNES. Have a safe and wonderful Holiday!
Which games will be keeping you merry this Christmas? Are you planning to clear your backlog, or do you intend to take a break from your consoles entirely? Enjoy the wine, have a mince pie – goodbye.

Mostly Destiny The Taken King, DragonBall Xenoverse and then depends what I'll buy from the sales, most probably Shadow Of Mordor GOTY and something for my Vita, not sure what.
I am tempted to try Year Walk on Wii U, as I haven't touched it since I bought it and even if it is a horror game, the Year Walk tradition is done on Christmas Day.
But probably will play some co op with my bro. Either the perennial Uncharted 3, Borderlands HC or Cannoli. Maybe squeeze some Tomb Raider before dinner.
@GraveLordXD Definitely not on the disc. There's a 9GB patch for the game which it's included in. (Or did you get the Game of the Year edition?)
you know i'm not sure what i'm going to play, probably FFVII
Nothign saved for Christmas, I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Unity, Tales of Zesteria, Dragon Quest Heroes and The Witcher 3 on PS4 and Ratchet and Clank Tools of destruction, Assasin's Creed 2, Monkey Island 2 and Lightning Returns on PS3. I'm off work for the next two weeks after today so I'm bound to get at least one finished!
Picked up Diablo 3, Uncharted and the Witcher 3 in the Black Friday / December sales.
Currently starting act 2 on Diablo 3, might get round to starting Uncharted and The Witcher but can't see finishing any off them before well into the new year! and that's if anything dosn't catch my eye in the sales!
Happy Xmas gaming everyone.
Started Until Dawn yesterday and really enjoying it. That said Emily is just the worst person ever...
I'll be playing whatever is under the tree.
I don't know if I'm actually going to play anything this Christmas, as I'm expecting to go out somewhere for the holidays. Maybe my miracle can happen and I'll get a PS4! If not, there's a backup plan- If I get at least $20 this year, I'll get Final Fantasy VII & IX off PSN.
Happy holidays everybody!
Yesterday I bought The Legend of Heroes: Art of Cold Steel on Vita yesterday so I'll be starting that. I've been craving a good JRPG for the Vita.
Might replay Everybody's gone to the rapture finished and when the back tracker trophy didn't pop I just stopped might go for a mop up of the last couple trophys, MGSV only done 3 missions, Until Dawn only played about an hour and a half and still loving Dark Cloud still one of the best PS2 games
Oh I'm getting Tearaway for PS4 for xmas cos it was only a tenner
I will be playing Lego dimensions this Christmas.
Pretty sure I've got Guitar Hero Live coming so looking forward to trying that.
Other than that more Uncharted 2... I'm enjoying it but not blown away yet. More of the same and I was very meh to 1. Just not my thing really, or I've built it up to much in my head as to what to expect.. Still a way to go and win me over though.
Er, probably more Nuclear Throne such a cracking game and some rainbow six siege.
Happy Christmas everyone.
Destiny, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Fallout 4, and some Xenoblade Chronicles X on my Wii U. Who needs sleep?
I've been digging my heels into so many games since I started winter break a couple weeks ago... So, over Christmas, it'll be Star Wars Battkefront for sure. Picked it up in the sale last week, and despite the obvious flaws, I'm actually having a lot of fun and I'm glad I gave the game another chance after the unimpressive beta. Other multiplayer experiences I'm getting into over Christmas will be Black Ops 3 and maybe get back into Splatoon. I also have a bunch of RPGs to hammer time into, this list includes: Final Fantasy 7, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 expansion, Xenoblade Chonicles X, Bravely Default. As for games I'm expecting to receive as gifts are Just Cause 3 and Tearaway Unfolded. Needless to say, but I think I'm gonna have a pretty busy break.... Haha. I probably won't start Just Cause 3 or Tearaway until the start of January, so hopefully I can clear a game or two out of my collection before then.
I'll keep playing Uncharted Collection and get Oreshika from the sale for Vita.
@ZeroXyko14 How far along are you in Xenoblade? I had to grind for hours because I was under leveled for Chapter 5... Haha.
Fallout.
@JesWood13 level 35, chapter 10 and I have several skells that can fly.
Yakuza 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Now I have a PS4. I got J Stars Victory, Uncharted Collection(still own these games on PS3) and DC Gods Among Us.
I plan on beating at least two games, currently trudging thru Darksiders II, after that Heavenly Sword maybe.
I'll be playing lots of Just Cause 3. It's surprises me that more people aren't talking about it. I'm having a blast playing it.
@ZeroXyko14 Nice! I can't wait to get my first Skell!
Some Bloodborne Old Hunters and Super Star Wars
Still loving Battlefront (even moreso after the fantastic film )and Battlefield 4 ,I've got the missus The Witcher 3 for Christmas .
Almost forgot , Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you all get the games you want under the tree tonight ! X

! Happy Holidays Everyone !
Yeah so I've pretty much gone way overboard on the steam winter sale this year. It goes until Jan 4th and I've already bought 8 games.. haha ugh. My backlog just keeps getting bigger and bigger but there are some amazing deals on some great games.
Over the holidays I really want to finish the bloodborne expansion. I beat the game when it first came out, and I've started a new game plus so I plan on playing through the entire thing again only with the dlc this time.
I got a new, frankly amazing monitor for my pc set up, so there's a lot of games I want to play on there right now. I got a 34 inch 3440x1440 curved ips screen with 100hz refresh rate and gsync...
So for anyone who doesn't know, it's a 21:9 monitor which is an ultra wide monitor. It gives you a ton of extra screen space on the left and right. It's actually pretty incredible. That, and you can play games at 100 fps. So right now I'm playing dying light on max settings in 3440x1440 ultra wide all at 100 fps, and I can't even explain just how incredible it makes the game. It's so smooth and fast doing parkour and having all that extra field of view.
Other than all that, I'm really excited for the new remaster of dragons dogma on pc coming out next month.
I think I'm getting two games from this list for Christmas: Uncharted Collection, Fallout 4, MGS V, Dishonored: DE or Batman: Arkham Knight so I'll be playing one of those anyway. I'll also be having the odd game of Rocket League and might finally get stuck into Crusader Kings II for my laptop now that I picked most of the expansions for it in the Steam sale. Oh and I'll be playing bouts of Final Fantasy IX on Vita too. Merry Christmas everyone!
Going to be working my through more of Yakuza 5. Played probably over 12 hours and still feel like I've barely scratched the surface.
Will be playing some Xenoblade Chronicles X tomorrow for sure. Haven't played it in 2 weeks (because I had an assignment to finish) so still early in the game (ch5). Will also be doing a festive tradition of an Iron man with my brother in Melee (and possibly Sm4sh but that roster is so huge).
LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and Plan on picking up LBP3.
Freedom Wars
Sly 2
GTA V
Fallout 4, Black Ops III, Fifa 16, Arkham Knight, Godzilla and more.
Quite likely Just Cause 3, and trying to make some progress towards the DriveClub Bikes Platinum.
@shonenjump86 Enjoy your new PS4, man.
@ISTARGAZERI Aww, love the GIF! Merry Christmas.
No love for Xenoblade Chronicles X? Oh well, I'll indulge myself on that gem with some Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Eyes of Heaven and Splatoon on the side.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
@get2sammyb
Thanks! 👍
@GraveLordXD You are!
ESO and get frustrated with myself because I struggle with quests
I've got a new Vita under the tree, and since it'll be my first one...the possibilities are endless. But seriously, I have so many RPG's and indie games to try now. Starting with P4 Golden and Ys Celceta and taking it step by step from there.
Other than that, The Xenoblade grind continues!
Hopefully gonna get a Vita finally Time seems right, and Remote Play is an awesome feature. So I'll be playing around with that ^-^
Final Fantasy XIV (PS4): Will be levelling up my white mage
Shovel Knight (PS4): Just bought the retail copy and can't wait to get into this game!
Final Fantasy X (Vita): replaying this classic for the first time on my new vita I bought for myself when it was on sale
Chrono Trigger (Vita): Will be continuing playing this. I can't believe I waited till now to play this game, I definitely missed out!
Past Christmas Day, it could be a whole new story, because I know I got at least 7 games under the tree thanks to ppl buying my games on Black Friday lol
Smash Bros for 3DS is under the tree, so probably a ton of multiplayer over the next few days!
@hYdeks @Garet_Jax Welcome to the Vita Club! Great console, you'll have a ball with that machine
@TeslaChippie Hope you do, has a great library if your into jrpgs and Indies especially
Merry Xmas y'all. I'll be playing... with my my kids.
@Hego It'll be my first experience with a Persona game (if you don't count SMT on the 3DS), so I'm looking forward to that. I LURVE jrpgs
I think I'm bouncing around to some of my non-Sony devices for a while. Xenoblade Chronicles X seems to be my current addiction, but I also dabble with Crypt of the NecroDancer on Steam and SteamWorld Heist on 3DS.
@Hego oh yea it is a perfect handheld for me since I love anime and jrpg's. I have played the system alot before, but happy I own one now
At my wife's family this year for Xmas so nothing this weekend.
@Garet_Jax Persona 4 golden will consume you.. I played it like 130 hours. It's addicting
I have to work on Christmas! However, what little gaming time I have over the Holiday weekend will be dedicated to Destiny (new love for that game), Fallout 4, and Mad Max.
No gaming for me. Have to study for my last exam ( tax law). Merry christmas everyone. Hope you guys have a better and more fun Day
Merry Christmas to all of you from Egypt , will be playing Fallout 4 and Bloodborne
