No, we will not miss a week. Sorry about the delayed article, y'all – your humble host had some holiday plans today, so we're well aware that this is hours later than it should be. But love is certainly not over, as this author has scaled to the top of the esoteric brick puzzle named life and delivered you your regularly scheduled dose of WAYP. All is well in the world again.

I'm almost ready to play Fallout 4, but first I've got to clear out a few more side quests in Yakuza 5. The wasteland's been calling to me for over a month now – and it's almost time!

This weekend, it's all back tattoos, sharp suits, and fisticuffs, as I continue to work my way through Yakuza 4 in preparation for digging into the recently released fifth entry in the series. As I get drawn into the criminal underworld of Kamurocho, I can't help but be impressed every time a Yakuza fighting gent removes all of the clothing from the upper half of their body in one swift motion just before a big fight. Where can I learn to do that?

I checked out the glowing Film 2015 review, and I obviously avoided spoilers, but Star Wars: The Force Awakens managed to surpass my lofty expectations. It was a jaw-dropping film to me – my mouth was wide open from its impact – so I'm watching it for the second time on Saturday, and in the meantime I'll play as many Star Wars games as possible.

I'm hoping to finally take down the King's Fall Raid in Destiny and get my hands on some of that sweet loot. Outside of that I'll be teaming up with some of my pals on Rainbow Six: Siege, which is a game I am really enjoying.

This weekend I'll be hoping to wrap up my time in the wasteland ready for Christmas by obtaining the ultimate prize, the Platinum Trophy. Only a few gongs elude my grasp, but I can smell victory in the not too distant future – hopefully not 60 years away.

If I get time among the present wrapping, the card signing, and the chocolate eating, I'll be playing the puck out of Rocket League's festive Snow Day ice hockey mode. Failing that (unlikely), I'll indulge in some sickly sweet silliness in Fat Princess Adventures.

Where I am at, it's cold out and that means hockey season. So, what better way to get into the mood than Rocket League Snow Days? I am actually enjoying this mode more than the normal soccer. I'll also will be doing some bounties in Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Trophy unlocked: get WAYP online at the last minute. Of course, the weekend is still young (sort of), so we want to know what you're playing as well. Fill our comments section's stocking with your itinerary.

Can't stop playing Destiny, got it with the deal last weekend and I love it.
I also wanted to play Yakuza 4, but a combination of a a kid, a cable and gravity killed my ps3...
Just seen the quite magnificent Force Awakens so will play a bit of Battlefront and lament the fact that I can't play as Kylo Ren. Other than that more Rocket League, really enjoying the new hockey mode and having to completely change how I play
@Melucine Boo!
I've gotten back into Rocket League lately, such a fantastically fun game, do I'll be playing some of that and Wolfenstein The New Order which I've found is a pretty fun game worth picking up in a sale although it does have problems. Fun game though all the same
A little DBX just finished training with Vegeta. A little Skylanders Superchargers, finally getting into it. I might have had some series fatigue so it got shelved for a few months. Trying to do some clean up on Madden 16 for the play.
@get2sammyb
At least I think the problem is the hard drive, so it wont be too expensive to get a new one and it also gives me a nice excuse to upgrade my PS4's one.
I got The Order on the cheap so I'm playing that. It's much better than I thought it would be. Short, yes. But it's also fun.
Played some Rainbow Six Siege earlier with friends, almost level 42 now. Great game, liking the tweaks in the latest patch.
Other than that, playing the hell out of Star Wars Battlefront. Absolutely gorgeous looking game. Really enjoying it, picked it up Thursday and just hit rank 26 so got the DL44 unlocked. Will it hold my interest past a few weeks or so? Probably not, but it only cost me £25 for the digital copy so I don't really care. What's there is a lot of fun and it scratches that casual fps itch.
Finally Nuclear Throne. Great but frustrating little gem of a game.
By brother will be visiting after 2 years this weekend (and a bit after Christmas), so I probably won't be doing as much gaming, and the gaming I do partake will probably be multiplayer. A bit of Towerfall is probably the safest bet for what I will play.
Xbox 360 - Battlefield 1943
Windows Phone - Monopoly
Going to try the witcher 3 and Until Dawn for the first time. Plus PES2016
Bastion, Grand Theft Auto V, and Metal Slug 3
I just finished watching the six Star Wars movies, so I never actually thought about what to play this weekend. Maybe more Uncharted or Infamous? Not sure yet.
Borderlands 2
Just finished the Fallout 4 platinum. So on to JC3
@BetweenTheTrees hey I'm having trouble getting the underground undercover trophy and I've seen many people saying it's bugged. Could you let me know how you did it?
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 multiplayer, Yoshi's Wooly World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and I might try getting back into Splatoon.
Just played through Actual Sunlight on my flight from Adelaide to Perth. Man, that was a confronting, harrowing game. Props to the developer for creating such a harsh and alienating experience - it really dealt with depression in an uncompromising way.
I've now got five hours at the airport to kill, so I might start Bastion, or keep chipping away at Persona 4. Maybe Lost Dimension!
@fit6958 add me on PS. I don't want to post spoilers ha
@Unashamed_116 I need to play this. Three Fourths Home, too!
Wii U: Splatoon.
Xbone: Limbo, Just cause 3.
Ps4: San andreas, God of war III
Vita: Persona 4 Dancing all night.
3DS: Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX
Happy Weekend
Happy Holidays
Friday - Mgs 3 snake eater Vita - the controls are the worst, cant believe how terrible it plays.
Saturday - zero gaming, ex machina film and semi final of the apprentice (business ideas)
Sunday - zero gaming, hopefully get through some more episodes of psycho-pass.
Saving myself for the fifa club matches next week and obviously Christmas!!!! I'm also in work which obviously sucks.
Chrono Trigger (Vita)
Super Time Force Ultra (Vita)
Final Fantasy XIV (PS4)
PS3 - Yakuza 5
Never thought in 2015 I'd be going back to PS3 for more than maybe a day here or there to make sure the system still works and maybe quickly revisit an old game but this weekend and beyond this going to be my primary focus and this game seems packed with stuff to do so it should take a while to complete which is fine by me.
@Gamer83 The PS3 will not die!
I'm trying to finish up Yoshi's Wooly World before Santa brings me XCX for Christmas. By the time I finish that NX will be out and the Wi iU will be dead before the PS3 if PS3 gets Star Ocean in the west. Nintnod tried really hard to kill it this Chirstmas with Mario Tennis and Animal Crossing but XCX kept if form being a complete failure of a holiday. Oh and the PS3 version of Minecraft for $29.99.
So jealous of all the game time everyone is getting. My workload is so full, at best I maybe able to fit in an hour or so on the vita, over the whole of next week. Work and sleep season for me.
My valiant attempt to clear my gaming backlog before I buy new games continues - will see how that stands when Uncharted 4 and The Witcher DLC comes out.
Assassin's Creed Unity - Final Fantasy 7 (Vita) and Lara Croft and The Temple Of Osiris this weekend.
As I'm now back from holiday, I'm digging into the Old Hunters. And it's glorious.
Witch 3 on ps4. An steins;gate on ps vita. Loving both games for different reasons. But both have great storylines.
Wii U: Xenoblade Chronicles X
PS4: [nothing]
X1: [nothing]
3DS: [nothing]
Vita: [nothing]
Ya. It's that good.
@JaxonH Think that's the first time I've seen you playing only one game in a weekend Must be some game alright
@KAPADO You won't regret the Witcher 3, but be warned it's a massive time sink you could lose your Christmas to that beast!
@Hego
My in-game timer says I've played 70 hours so far, though some of that was from leaving the game paused all night once or twice. I'd say at least 40 hours in though. I'm level 27 (seen enemies as high as Level 92 and I'm sure well beyond).
They say the game is 5x larger than the first, or roughly the size of Witcher 3, Skyrim and Fallout 4 combined. And I've charted a good portion of it- it's just so breath-taking. One of the most beautiful worlds ever created. It truly feels like you're stranded on a hostile planet.
I'm about to take my skell license exam and get my mech, although it won't gain the ability to fly for another 3 chapters.
Ya, I'm just totally absorbed by this game. Can now safely say it's my new favorite game of all time. There's just nothing that can compare.
Well...I will play Guns Up (I've become quite addicted), some Syndicate, some Battlefront, maybe finish Bayonetta on PS3
Kingdom Hearts HD, decided to start again
ok guys I have a problem and please I need help on this , I been playing fallout 4 which I love it sooooo much , and till now I only did 2 mission and some side mission and am olny exploring the wasteland , my friend is telling me that I need to switch between games ,, a bit of bloodborne an a bit of fallout and a bit of the witcher , and am kind of person who start a game and cant play another till I finish the one I started ???? what shall I do ... am doomed with fallout 4 LOL
@Hego well I only wanna play the Witcher for 2 to 3 hours then put it on the shelf until next year.
I still have to beat Shadow of Mordor
Im flying so this weekend s just Bastion on Vita
WWYPTW. Xenoblade Chronicles X. I'm repeating myself, but good Lord what a terrific game! If I had to live on a deserted island and could just pick 5 games to play, I'd take this one twice, just to make a statement to the other games... And so Wilson could play it with me.
PS2: Tales of the Abyss with my wife
PS4: FF7 and watching One Punch Man
Just got married last weekend which why I largely disappeared for a few months, but now that it's calmed down, it's time to start bringing her up to speed on some of my favorite games
Fallout 4 and R6v loving fallout 4 will be getting the season pass for sure.
Grow Home ps4
Journey ps4
Guilty Gear Xrd Sign ps4
Persona 4 golden ps4
I got all of em from the holiday sales on psn with nice discounts
Double XP on Battlefront this weekend!
ESO and watching ESO on Twitch
Guns almost all trophies I only need the lvl 25 one.
I'm surprised more people aren't playing Just Cause 3. It's a great game. Pure fun!
I'm back on GTAV trying to save for one of those amazing yachts, I'm currently on 3 million. Also grinding endless dungeons in Dark Cloud, it's so addictive.
I went to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens last night and it was superb. I thought Harrison Ford slipped back into his role of Han seamlessly.
I started Skyrim for the first time 2 weeks ago on ps3, at level 19 and 40hours in. I just can't put it down, it's the version with all the dlc included on disc.
I have XCX, waiting for me to start and I also ordered Witcher 3 last week cause of how much I'm enjoying Skyrim which I thought I'd hate, since it's a massive open world type game. But I think XCX will be played before Witcher 3 gets a look in.
@tenderbeefcake hoping to get JC3 over the Xmas, looks like great fun, but I've heard the loads times are terrible, like up to 5mins? Is that true?
I've played a few hours on MGSV and I've had a blast, also been on Fallout 4 can't put it down even after the platinum there's just so much to see & I had a few matches on wwe2k15 not played a wrestler for a while and I only got it cos it was cheap
@ApostateMage I got Dark Cloud as soon as it was available - one of my fave games ever! - but I've yet to jump back in same with until dawn had it a few weeks but just haven't been able to put Fallout down
