Dragon's Dogma is an often overlooked open world role-playing release from Capcom, which released on the PlayStation 3 back in 2012. While the game wasn't perfect, it's safe to say that we absolutely loved it, and we've stated on numerous occasions that we'd love to see some sort of remaster on PlayStation 4, as well as the localisation of Dragon's Dogma Online - a massively multiplayer online title that launched in Japan last year.
However, many fans of the original release have long been hankering for something a little more substantial: a full sequel. The Japanese publisher's been relatively quiet on the matter for some time, but in an interview with PC Gamer, producer Minae Matsukawa certainly doesn't rule out a potential Dragon's Dogma 2.
Matsukawa told the publication that "the Dragon's Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel", and that it really all depends on fan feedback with regards to Dragon's Dogma Online and the upcoming PC port of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. "We'd love to hear the opinions and feedback from players [...] as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series," she said.

Can we hope in a remastered version? I played the vanilla version on 360 but I'd spend € 30 for the complete edition with better textures and without those black bars.
I'm more interested in Capcom making sequels to Maximo & Viewtiful Joe. Make it happen!
Give it to me now... That combat was so much fun. I also really enjoyed using friends pawns in game.
Would love a sequel to this as it was probably my favorite fantasy rpg last gen along with skyrim. Just a great game and really deserves a nice remaster. Have to say tho if they haven't started a sequel yet are we looking at five years minimum before part 2? Way to long IMO.
What happened to deep down then?
Playing an archer on this game was so much fun. I'd love a sequel/HD remaster.
@Dan_ozzzy189 Definitely put on hold - we've heard nothing of it in a loooong time. Whether it's been cancelled is a different question, though.
I'd buy it.
Not too bothered about a HD remaster as I only played it last year. The panws were a great system I liked that a lot. I would like to see Dragons Dogma online come to europe
@ApostateMage The magic archer was the only way to play IMO!
It still seems odd to me that Deep Down isn't Dragon's Dogma 2. I was sure it was just a temporary title when it was first announced since they both looked very similar and both had names that would be initialised to DD.
Maybe they'll turn Deep Down into DD2. It seems to be having a troubled development in some way or another. It also seems like the little period of Japanese developers flirting with F2P models on consoles has stopped, especially as F2P is increasingly seen as a code for "terrible" (not entirely fairly, but that's still the incredibly common perception).
I would buy a HD Remaster in a heartbeat if they put in a few extra's.
I would love a remaster but only if it added in way points. I didn't get far cos all that trekking back and forth wasted my time.
Good thing they're remastering it for PC (comes out this coming week).. Finally a way to play it without bars and an unlocked framerate time for my Assassin to rise again.
