Consumer electronics! You like phones, televisions, and those dumb gizmos that regularly put Sony in the red, right? Boy, do we have a treat for you, then β as the Japanese giant will be holding its annual CES 2016 press conference in Las Vegas this evening. While this event is usually reserved for the Japanese giant's other businesses, there's every chance that the PlayStation 4 will be mentioned β it's basically the firm's big bread winner at the minute, after all.
However, that doesn't mean you should come into this anticipating new game announcements or anything like that. There's a slender possibility that the platform holder will use the presser to flog PlayStation VR, but we'd probably have expected a little more messaging from SCE if that was the case. No, you should treat this as your annual check-in with Kaz Hirai β we do miss seeing the exec at E3 and Gamescom, we must admit.

MEME RACERRRRRRR
I would like to hear about some new stuff. Looking forward to it.
Oh, NO MANS SKY RELEASE DATE RIGHT NOW.
You're live streaming it? Well 8PM is usually when the family huddles round the telly to watch an episode of Doctor Who but I'll be round after for the recap.
And Sony really should mention the PS4 and VR as Facebook has already announced Oculus Rift pre-orders begin tomorrow. Don't want to get left too far behind.
@B3ND3R Not happening. CES is more for televisions and stuff, so don't go expecting anything like that.
Even the year ps4 was announced I watched ces hoping for anymore info, and got only smart bands, tvs, phone stuff. Its not exactly a gamers conference more so a tech lovers conference. Its fun to see some stuff, but it's also sad to see things companies spend millions on that you can tell watching is just going to flat out tank. Sadly Sony's phones are absolutely brilliant, but lack of marketing especially here in the states has kept them from taking the space they easily could have occupied prior to LG in the market. Only reason I have a g3 instead of a Xperia is Verizon when I upgraded had literally none and would have had to wait for a shipment. I remember the guys face when I walked in and said I wanted the z3v. He clearly knew nothing and pointed me to the droid or galaxy. Had to speak with a manager. But anyway, no matter what Il be keeping an eye on ces tonight.
@get2sammyb I know, it's the recurring joke right? We will never hear a release date, even if the world were about to implode.
"Presser"....
@kyleforrester87 Doing it on purpose now, man.
The suspense is killing me. Hurry up.
Following the ridiculous sales numbers all speakers are expected to make WWE style entrances.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi what like the speakers for hi-fis, pcs and surround sound? That I do want to see.
The hype train is leaving the station. Old steam train Horn sounds.
@B3ND3R
