Could Days Gone be Sony Bend's rumoured open world horror game at last? It's not impossible. The platform holder has filed a trademark for a new title using the abovementioned name, and it's definitely got a survival vibe to it, hasn't it? Of course, it could theoretically be anything – from a Santa Monica incubated external project all the way through to a PlayStation VR title or free-to-play experiment.
The trademark was registered on 28th December so there's a strong chance that we'll be learning more about it this year. In the meantime, you're going to have to use your imagination. All we keep thinking of is axed PlayStation 3 exclusive Eight Days. We'll never forgive you for cancelling that one, Shuhei.

A game about days gone without PSN!
@Melucine
Isn't Sony Bend Studio supposedly working on an open world survival horror game? Hmm...
Emotional story driven third person adventure with a cover system and light RPG elements!!!
@kyleforrester87 Are you saying there'll also be towers?
@get2sammyb So many towers.
Days Gone...
Perfect title for an open world horror game.
My bet is... !!! IT IS !!!
A Grumpy Old Man simulator where you spend your days remembering how cool was life in the 50's...
A game where you reminisce about all the classic games that would be awesome on new gen hardware if only these bone head developers would use them.
@get2sammyb Do you have any info on Eight Days...I honestly never heard of it? Also, what's with this open world horror game, did I miss an article on here?
@arnoldlayne83 Add in farts and laughing so hard you pee your pants (and a mini game of Wal-Mart Scooter Racing, and I'll buy it!!!
Sounds like a David Cage game to me. That or a narrative based indie game.
@kyleforrester87 are the towers all the same with only tiny differences I hope so I hate variation
@SKC_Diamond Pretty much, although they'll start off fairly easy to liberate and become slightly more complicated by the end, but you'll need to do it to unlock new areas of the map.
@JLPick Eight Days was a third-person shooter that London Studio was making for the PS3, but when Phil Harrison left it was cancelled - presumably because Sony already had a third-person shooter in Uncharted. It looked really cool, though.
As for the horror game - it's just a persistent rumour. Word on the grapevine is that Sony Bend is making an open world horror game for PS4, but that's all we know - and it's not even clear whether it's true.
Irony, is one word.
Sounds like a F2P game.
So many awesome games coming this year, can't wait
please be an open world horror game.there are many open world games but few are horror themed, dying light is the only thing that comes to mind. would LOVE a really creepy and serious OW survival horror game!
I reckon it's a game where your toaster is broken and your nemesis, who is a llama, is the only way to fix it. Plot twist!
Isometric turn based pyjama simulator.
@get2sammyb Thanks for the info!
@Gmork___ yes I got it for Christmas and the night is creepy as f**k
