Despite being the weekend, your humble host has a lot to do today, so consider this edition of WAYP hastily assembled like a ploughman's sandwich without any lettuce or tomato – or pickle, for that matter. What are we even talking about? Dunno, filling space out, innit. That might be enough? Yes, it's enough.

My review duties have escalated all of a sudden, but I only have myself to blame. Two of the games that I've been assigned are about as entertaining as an enema, so I've been a bit lazy these past two days. Hence the mad rush to get them finished…

It's time to visit those bloody Crones of Crookback Bog in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Although I've reached this pivotal plot point fairly quickly, it's safe to say that even on New Game Plus, Geralt's gruesome adventure still takes ages to get through. Will I be able to beat the game again before Blood and Wine launches? I'm slowly beginning to doubt it.

My plan for this weekend involves diving back into the wasteland in Fallout 4 and attempting to rid it of some of the vermin that I missed last year. I'll also be patiently waiting for The Witness to release.
Alex Stinton, Reviewer
This weekend, I'll be continuing to work my way through Rebel Galaxy for review. Having already put over 20 hours into this space trading and combat game with no end in sight, I'll have to put any other gaming plans on hold. It's a hard life.
Jamie O'Neill, Reviewer
I still haven't downloaded January 2016's PlayStation Plus games, so perhaps I'll add the Vita title Nihilumbra to my overflowing and often under-appreciated Instant Game Collection.
Joey Thurmond, Reviewer
I've made good progress in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain so far and plan to keep bringing the legend back to life this weekend. Thankfully this massive snowstorm that has hit the Eastern side of the United States will give me more time to do that!
Marcello Apostolico, Reviewer
While a winter storm is headed this way, I'm planning to spend some more time playing Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Just Cause 3, Rocket League, and maybe some Metro Redux. If I'm feeling nostalgic, I may pop on Grand Theft Auto III on the PS4.
Sam Brooke, Reviewer
This weekend I'll foray into the stunning worlds of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, as I've finally cleared my Christmas backlog. I'll also be going back to Just Cause 3 for a bit, because my thirst for chaos can never be quenched, and I'll fit in some FIFA 16 career mode, in which I'll give Joe Allen a £100,000 a week contract for being our Lord and saviour.
Simon Fitzgerald, Reviewer
I have finally picked up Push Square's GOTY for 2015, Bloodborne, and so I will be spending the entire weekend cursing my inadequate gaming skills. Other than that I may play a few matches of Rocket League, so give me a shout if you want someone easy to beat.
Victor Nowogurski, Moderator
It's that time of the week again already? Wow, time flies. So this weekend among some more Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer, I plan on getting into Transformers Devastation, which I started a few days ago and have been wanting to get back to.
No time for witty conclusions here, we've got to run. Please add some quality to this hastily compiled article in the comments section, though – God knows it needs it.

Not sure not got much too play at the moment plus i am in work most of the weekend. Probably get some Rocket League in.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution
i'm preparing for the release of Storm 4 in a few weeks
oh and FFVII (PS4) version, gotta get off that frozen mountain at some point ^_^
Mostly Bloodborne, I finished it monthsago, but now I am going for all optional areas and ofc the DLC. Small breaks from the blood with Mario Kart 8.
We are snowed in here on the East Coast of the USA so I have plenty of time this weekend. Back to fighting through Back Log January with goal one be to grind out the last 8 Ultimate Attacks in DBX. Secondly I'm a little over 82% on Lego Harry Potter 5-7 so might do some clean up there. Finally, going to fight my way through Yahar'gul to go kill the One Reborn in Bloodborne. That seems like a pretty full plate for me as I work towards platting these three games.
Everybody's gome to the Rapture and the Witcher 3 for me oh plus i want to log in to Destiny to buy the ram from xur but probably won't play Destiny this weekend.
I'll start Steins Gate, I already saw the anime now to the game!
Just started Alien Isolation and I'm loving every minute so far, I've recently survived my first encounter with that Alien and it was one the most tense gaming moments I've had. I have to say the games looks incredible and they've gone above and beyond in recreating the look of the movie
Today I'm finishing off Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call. I enjoy the story and presentation, which is the main reason I play the games, but many of the puzzles are ridiculous.
Tomorrow I think I'll continue with Fallout 4, which I've really started to get into - especially now I've started modding my armour and weapons.
Metal Gear Solid 4 and Crash 3 for me.
Log into MGS V to get my daily free item. Play ESO, Hardware Rivals and Dying Light
The snow is insane in the US.
Xbox 360: Bionicle Heroes
PlayStation Portable: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2006, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
@get2sammyb yeah we're at 17 inches right now and still supposed to get 1 to one and half more feet through today and into tomorrow.
I'm trapped inside here in the states, so I'll most likely be getting a lot of gaming done for once. Beating Just Cause 3 is my main agenda this weekend, then a little bit of COD: BO3 and Star Wars Battlefront for multiplayer. Other single player games I hope to get around to are Xenoblade Chronicles X, Final Fantasy 7, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.
I've seen Rebel Galaxy on the store, it looks pretty good to me. I'll wait for Alex's review before I pretend to be Malcolm Reynolds though.
Elder scrolls online, and/or ff14 most likely on ps4, and danganronpa another episode on vita.
Whoops! Totally forgot to email you back @get2sammyb!
As it turns out I doubt I'll get to play that much this weekend. I bought Bayonetta 1 & 2 for Wii U a couple of weeks ago, so I might get started on those
@Quintumply S'all good!
I'll be trying to finish up Just Cause 3, after being on the final mission for two weeks. I may also start MGSV Phantom Pain, but may not have the time. Saturday, though, is a holiday in the city I live in so trying to play Saturday may be difficult, but gaming always finds a way!
I may be able to finally get CoD BO3 this weekend or soon so I may be able to play that if I ever get this weekend. If I do head out to get it, I will probably come out with more than just that which would probably include the Uncharted Collection, GTA V, and the new Need For Speed.
@vegeta11 sounds like a lot, i don't think my home town has EVER had that much snow (i live in the UK)
is it causing much trouble over there?
Got my platinum on ff7 this week, I started to play the witcher 3 the other day and I wasn't in the right frame of mind and turned it off for a quick bash of fifa 15. I think after platinuming dragon age inquisition my head isn't in the right place for another mammoth game at the moment. I'll either give it another bash this weekend or turn to a few more quick games fifa again 😊
Transformers Devastation and redownloading updates after upgrading hard drive
Playing some Fifa career mode with Liverpool to celebrate the 4-5 win over Norwich lol and then I hope to finnish the story on Fallout 4 between tonight and tomorrow.
@mookysam Go to vault 81 and buy the Overseers Guardian from the woman in the Depot. Very moddable and probably the best weapon in the game. Up your rifle perk and gun nut perk and this gun gets absolutely ridiculous.
Fallout 4 of course
Replaying Suikoden V (determined to get all 108 stars!). Will also be downloading Bastion & Transistor as they're on sale this weekend for less than $10 combined!!! (Even my cheap self can't resist that deal!)
@FullbringIchigo basically of Pennsylvania is down. State of emergency with this kind of blizzard. Nothing to do but stay inside.
Language -Tasuki-
@vegeta11 WOW
well stay safe
@FullbringIchigo thanks for the good wishes. We're not allowed to leave our houses so I should be fine just snowed in for a while.
Probably some LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Haven't played a LEGO game in awhile even though I have LEGO Marvel in my backlog. I picked this and LEGO The Hobbit up for cheap on the NA PS Store last week. Really enjoying it so far. I want to mix it up between this and grinding for the Fallout 4 plat.
Assassins Creed Syndicate and Lego Star Wars.
I have also broken my new games embargo seeing as Sony offered me Dark Souls 2 and Lords Of The Fallen for £30.
Still I have a week off in February to look forward to.
PS4 - Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
PS3 - Yakuza 5
I'm sick in bed so I just spent the last 2 days playing Axiom Verge and Ori and the Blind Forest (PC). Now I'm onto inFamous Second Son and some Super Meat Boy.
I can't get to every game plus I'm working the weekend. Anyways, here's what I want to play.
Xbox One- Killer Instinct(2013) Resident Evil 0, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
PS3- Yakuza 5
PS4- Uncharted collection, Skullgirls, J Stars Victory
Wii U- Freedom Planet, Smash
3DS- Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter 4.
I can at least get to 3 of them. Lol
I'll be playing Mass Effect today, with some AC: Brotherhood multiplayer on the side.
@Jaz007 Original Mass Effect? Got back to that this week as well xD those elevators though...
@Flurpsel Yeah, I just got it. While they're still a bit annoying, the elavators aren't as bad as I was expecting.
fallout 4, mainly. Then continuing my coop campaign with my girlfriend on Borderlands 2 (we love play that game together and she is getting very good at it), and then I am trying out Rebel Galaxy (on PC, since in Europe it is not yet on the store, dunno why). In the meantime I am managing going skiing twice this weekend.... busy life, uh? 😊
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, just started as a wander around then I realised I only need 2 trophies for the plat so may go for it
Until Dawn, still loving it just need to do 2 playthrough a 1 where everyone lives, 1 where they all die for that plat so on with that
Resident Evil REmake, started a Chris playthrough
Dark Chronicle, it's a masterpiece
Destiny, playing through the Taken King
Just started Driveclub, so going to put some time into that, I want to finish wolfenstien, and will try and score at least one goal in Rocket league!
@carlos82 The aesthetics in Isolation are INSANE. Feels like you're in the first movie detail for detail. So glad I finished it a couple of months ago. Hope you enjoy it!
@get2sammyb North Carolina's governor declared a state of emergency earlier this week for snowstorm Jonas. Down in the south, we really aren't prepared for any snow. It's a rare occurrence unlike for people up north who deal with it all the time!
Away from home this weekend so it's all Vita action for me along with watching Downton Abbey (fantastic) and the NFL playoffs. I'll try to finish Sly 1 and get that platinum (handy enough) plus I'll be playing bits of Castlestorm and Nihilumbra from PS Plus and also Sid Meiers: Pirates
To all American readers on the East coast, stay safe in those rough conditions
@get2sammyb Yeah the East is getting pounded with snow while we on the west coast are getting drenched with rain. Hopefully everyone stays safe.
Shenmue, Race the Sun, Project Mirai DX and the usual co op with my bro. I have been coming back to Splatoon recently as well.
Rebel galaxy for me, so loving this game so far looks gorgeous and looking forward to getting a new ship fairly soon.... Also a bit of fallout 4 and witcher 3 (as usual)
@vegata11 that snow sounds mental, unlike anything we get here in the UK!
@Neolit True that - any elavator ride with a conversation is fantastic.
Bloodbourne, StarWars Battlefront, and dying light also some qube and reso gun just brought them and am going to give them a try
Bloodborne (PS4): doing optional Nightmare Frontier area right now.
Mario Kart Wii: trying to get double and triple stars in courses.
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii): playing it again, love this game alot!
N64: friend moved and needed to get rid of some things, so I ended up buying his collection of games and I'll be playing games like goldeneye, banjo kazooie, and majora's mask also this weekend.
Basically alot of Nintendo this weekend, coming from the guy that had bad mouthed Nintendo alot lately lol
Working my way through uncharted 2 on the Nathan Drake collection! Missed that game on ps3 and I am LOVING it so far! I also picked up Transistor on sale. Don't know if I'll make it to that this weekend though. Might also flip open my 3ds for a bit of steamworld heist.
Hopefully some Star Wars Battlefront on PS4 and Star Fox 64 3d.
Urban Chaos PS2 - missed out on it back during its release. Man, so good.
Just think, the next time you run this feature, A lot of us will be able to say "Gravity Rush on PS4!"
@Neolit same with Tomb Raider Definiative Edition, not that i'm a trophy hunter but it's the same with that game. Just picked up Divinity Original Sin £25 in the sale's, I might get Tale's of Zestria as well for a rainy day.
Hi peeps, a bit off topic here, but have u seen this Ps4 video, is pretty cool,
https://youtu.be/B2Xgsxt86_k
@get2sammyb going off topic here again, I notice the site doesn't to any hardware reviews, by the team or by the readers, for like alternative gamepads, steering wheels... maybe something to look into
@Sunnyviji They don't make alternative controler's I wish they did, I may be forced to buy a scuff controler or a Xym4 (not sure on the spelling) it's pronounced Zim 4, i'd rather not get one but like I said I may be forced to with the lack of alternative controler's.
I'm playing through Phantasy Star 2 for the first time, playing it from Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection/Ultimate Megadrive Collection. It is quite dated, but as a JRPG lover I feel like it's one of those games I'm required to do.
@Sunnyviji @xMEADx For sure. In fact, we have something like that not too far away.
@get2sammyb nice i'll look forward to that, it's a good idea.
@vegeta11 @DrJoeystein I'm from Ohio and stuck in Georgia with all of my Sony stuff in Ohio. I'm dying down here been 5 days. Curse that Jonas.
Bloodborne and nuclear throne for me. Second play through on bloodborne since I picked up the old hunters.
I'm about 35 hours into Witcher 3 now and after a shaky start am really getting into it! Was a slow burner for me at the beginning but now am struggling to turn it off!
Also got Bloodborne: The Old Hunters and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on the PSN sale, but doubt I'll get round to them anytime soon...
@Patinator Amen to the Liverpool match - easily one of the best games of the season!
I made a masterpiece... Today I will be playing Blade and Soul.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPyJ6iNh3AE
@GlynCR Dark Chronicle. Man, I had that game on the ps2 but I was kid and didn't understand the mechanics all that well! I really should buy it because I never moved on from that area right after the sewers...I need to finish it, for nostalgia sake
@Anchorsam_9 Yes definitely. I couldn't actually believe we came back! It's a shame we can't score 5 every match to cover for our terrible defending haha.
@Jbumi Transistor is a really great game, really superb soundtrack, and I believe you can still download the theme for free in the US if you purchase the game. It is still the background I use for my ps4, best one yet imo!
@DrJoeystein Hey hey, I'm in NC as well, will be rooting for the Panthers today and getting some fallout 4 in! Durham NC
On hols for a week and my trusty vita is keeping me happy with valkyria chronicles 2.
@Neolit Far Cry 4 - Do you need the co-op trophies or the multiplayer ones?
Spent this weekend on Everybody's Gone To The Rapture as 7 odd quid was too cheap to ignore. Loved the story and the score especially. Just got 2 trophies left for the platinum. Also keep dipping in and out of MLB 14 The Show to get myself ready for this year's edition. Go Giants! It's an even year after all!!!
@Neolit the trophys in games are nothing to do with Sony
@Neolit I was always under the impression that the devs - not the system seller - had the trophy list pur in, I agree that they shouldn't shunt online trophys on to any game - be it SP or MP - you can't say your game is gonna be super popular online with the likes of Halo, CoD, Battlefield and now Destiny winning that war. It's how it's been since achievements were introduced though and I can't see it changing now
Can't you do the co op trophies local?
It was a lot of Fallout, mixed with just enough Killzone SF multiplayer.
@SonyInfinity Thanks!! I'll be diving into it after I'm done with Suikoden V.
@AFCC I've just got out of the sewer and done a few floors of the next area it's still an absolute joy to play - the cel shaded look holds up really nicely as well
