Are we getting no respite today? Hot on the heels of the fantastic Uncharted 4: A Thief's End story trailer, Bandai Namco has deployed this desperately moody Dark Souls III clip, which is backed by a macabre cover of Cyndi Lauper's 'True Colors'. This is a proper miserable little trailer, we've got to be honest.
But doesn't it look great? The frequent dodge rolling will draw comparisons to Bloodborne, but that's no bad thing. To be fair, we prefer the PlayStation 4 exclusive's gothic architecture, but the medieval turrets and spires look perfectly pleasing here. Remember, this is due out in April as well. It's going to be a big month!

April is a busy month with Dark Souls 3 & Uncharted 4, looking forwards to both of them.
And Ratchet and Clank, jesus, my bank manager will be after me.
Looking good I actually hope this plays more like Bloodbourne than Dark Souls.
Bloodborne 2 confirmed 😂 Doesn't look like this game will encourage players to use defensive tactics.
Great stuff, can't wait to get stuck in.
I love the Dark Souls series. I'm not good at it, but love the lore / feel of it. On the other hand I'm a HUGE Bloodborne fan and I'm actually decent at it. Played it through to get all 3 endings. Now, when watching all these trailers, I keep seeing so much Bloodborne vibe going on I'm wondering if this will play like a BloodSouls hybrid or something.
The reason this looks like Bloodborne is because it's running on the same game and lighting engines. Hopefully the art direction will be enough to differentiate it, but from what we've seen so far I'm not hopeful.
This game is going to be amazing.
This trailer seem to be targeted to Bloodborne fans because of the location (this is still the only one we know) and the fast combat but I bet we'll see other trailers focused on heavy armors, shields and magic in new different locations.
DS3 makes Uncharted look like a light-hearted walk in a blooming meadow...
Bit of a strange music choice for the trailer but hey ho. With Miyazaki back in the driving seat this will hopefully avoid the clunkiness of design seen in Dark Souls II.
I didn't get into Dark Souls 2 at all but I'm enjoying Bloodbourne so this is going to be on my watch list but not launch but list. May pick up used after all info is available.
@RaymanFan2
Good call on the game engine and lighting. That does make since. Where I see the Bloodborne influence is in a few of the enemy's looks and movements and the architecture. Has anyone had a hands on by chance that's played Bloodborne and DS?
Aprils going to be busy this ratchet and clank and uncharted 4
oh god ... sigh ... this will be another test for my nerves ... LOL
Im hyped but scared at the same time
