It's the 1st February today folks, and that means E3 is a mere five or so months away. In other words, it's time to start thinking about this year's show - what fun!
No but seriously, are we really talking about E3 2016 already? Look, we know it's a relatively slow news day, but this is a step too far. Following on from its E3 2015 press conference - which was actually really good - Bethesda has announced the date for this year's event, so you'd best get your pen and paper ready.
The publisher's keynote will take place on the 12th June at 19:00PM PST/22:00PM EST. That means a late night for Push Square, as the timing equates to 03:00AM here in the UK.
So, what do we expect from Bethesda's second ever E3 presser? Well, for starters, Dishonored 2 is guaranteed to make an appearance, and we'll likely hear about MachineGames' next, er, game. On top of that, we're sure that DOOM will make an appearance - assuming that it's not out before then - and there's a chance that we'll get information on Fallout 4's upcoming downloadable content, although we'd imagine that its initial batch will launch before this conference rolls around.
Is it too early to start pondering on E3 announcements? Sympathise with us in the comments section below.

Elder Scrolls 6? Haha, I kid, it's way too early unless Bethesda Game Studios has a B Team that's just as massive as their main team. I wonder though if we'll see Machine Games announce a Wolfenstein New Order sequel.
don't care about Bethesda, hope Square Enix decides to hold an E3 conference again this year
The last couple of years, almost all games had been announced/spoiled before E3 even began. E3 is still a big deal (for now), but nowhere near the importance in the past. Much more so for demoing games you heard about, rather than learn about games you didn't know existed. So I guess exciting for the fans, probably a bit deal for the game journos at least.
Only 4 1/2 months.
And the E3 ship already sailed when EA announced they weren't doing a big event there and Pele would need to look for work elsewhere.
I would hope we would get some Fallout 4 DLC before this... Five more months just for news of the DLC?
Only thing I care about Bethesda is Doom. MachineGames did a good job with Wolfenstein too. I guess it is the old FPS nostalgia for me.
BRINK 2
Don't start talking about E3!
Please bring back Prey 2 from the dead :l
The only game I would want is Elder Scrolls 6 and that's probably going to be 2019 so a while away yet.
E3! E3! E3! Of course, some Final Fantasy 7 info would be nice. Other than that, blow my mind again please!
@KratosMD I agree. I think fall of 2017 is our release date for es6, people forget how relatively quickly oblivion and fallout 3 came out together. Oblivion 06, fallout 3 08. And that was during a notoriously difficult developing era in that you had 360 and ps3 completely different architecture with the ps3 being notoriously difficult. With this gen, we should see much shorter development times because essentially the architectures are very similar to pc and each other. They already said prior to fallout 4 just for kicks they had skyrim running on a ps4 dev kit. I'm hoping, and anxiously awaiting es6. I thought fallout would scratch the itch, but all it did was make me wish it was skyrim or really any es game. Who knows though, maybe we really are in for a long wait and to help us through the wait they will do what we wanted ea to do and give us an elder scrolls collection.
After their amazing conference last year the only way they could top it for me would be if they announced a Skyrim remaster and maybe a Fallout Anthology. Altough the Fallout it highly doubtful, even if they released on PC not so long ago.
Seeing something about the next Elder Scrolls would be great, though the chances of that are slim to none.
Dishonored was a great game so fingers crossed for the sequel.
I would like to see more of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim during E3.
