It looks like Titanfall 2 will be announced imminently, as eagle-eyed NeoGAF users have noticed that the title is starting to appear in shops. An image of a GameStop display stand shows placeholder art from the forthcoming sequel nestled curiously atop a PlayStation 3 shelf. That's probably not an indication of platforms, but it most likely suggests that a reveal is incoming.
EA Games has not been shy about mentioning the game, noting that it will be out before April 2017. And developer Respawn Entertainment has been comparably candid, stressing that the title will be coming to the PlayStation 4 this time, and that there's talk of a TV series tie-in as well. You can probably bank on an official announcement any day, then – even websites are getting in on the act.

Hopefully this will skip 360/PS3 gen and be a true current gen game...?
I'm not big on multiplayer shooters and I considered TF to be all hype and no game... I couldn't be more wrong. Titanfall is easily the best shooter of this decade and although their exclusivity and pricing model wasn't very smart, mechanically there is no better shooter than Titanfall for me. The whole grunts running around thing was a stroke of genius on their part and since then every CoD felt like a very cheap ripoff, even Blops3 which I like a lot. Titanfall is like crack cocaine in game form and I can't wait for part 2!
@Boerewors I am quite the opposite with TF. I really expected greatness as the team behind it developed CoD:MW and MW2 but the game felt seriously lacking. It launched with even less content than SW:BF and all but one mode played 'differently' to the others and that wasn't great. The regen challenges were seriously off-putting - forcing you to play a certain way, with awful weapons and do things that require you to be 'lucky' - in the right place at the right time. Visuals and movement were ok but overall it got very tired very quickly. It was telling that the bulk of the players had left within a month. Hopefully though Respawn will have learned from their mistakes and release a more complete game with more variety too.
@BAMozzy
For me it feels exactly the same as what I have now with Street Fighter: I know the content we're getting is way too little, there aren't enough modes to keep casual players busy and the 'earnings model' isn't gamer friendly... But mechanically the game is so sound that I can't stop playing. Titanfall had exactly the same, with its free running that is yet to be matched, the maps that were custom made for the fine gameplay and the Titans that alter the pace of the game dramatically so there's so much to experience within a single match; I love it!
Titanfall is great. Its still a game that I dip in to now and then. The whole grunt thing sounded weird before i got to play it and then it was like every MP shooter should have this at least as an option. Can not wait for Titanfall 2 to come along.
Titanfall is probably the only shooter in a while that I actually enjoyed playing online. It's such an awesome concept, so well-executed, and I can't wait for it to hit PS4
Hopefully it has the content and a decent dtory mode for us all to sink our mechs into.
Just hope it has a proper campaign to it this time.
@Boerewors This is exactly how I felt about vanilla destiny. Very limited in terms of variety and longevity, but the shooting and movement mechanics were so smooth and fun to play it kept me hooked for quite awhile. If the mechanics are as good as you say I will definitely give this a try on ps4.
I suppose NeoGaf is useful for something after all.
Hopefully this'll skip over the PS3 and 360 so the devs can concentrate on making the PS4, One, and PC version great.
Loved playing titanfall on xbox one will definitely be getting the sequel for ps4, haven't played a shooter that fun in a while
The only thing Titanfall is going to drop on PS4 is a big load of dookie.
