Hell yeah, bro, one of your PlayStation Plus titles for March has been decided by democracy. The most recent Vote to Play poll has just come to a close, and the winner is somewhat unsurprising, considering that it's been comfortably in the lead since voting began.
In case you missed it, the three titles vying for your vote were Assault Android Cactus, Action Henk, and Broforce. As if this article's lead image hasn't already made it abundantly clear, Broforce has walked away victorious, securing an impressive win over its rivals with almost 50 per cent of the vote.
The sidescrolling shooter, which features a cast of playable action movie icons, will headline next month's selection of PlayStation Plus games. As for the rest of March's lineup, we expect an official announcement within the next week or so.
Did you vote for Broforce? Have the other games been robbed? Kick and scream in the comments section below.

you know what they should do instead of voting
give us an option of 3 to pick from (like they do with voting) and then when the new PS+ games come along we get to download the one we picked and ONLY the one we picked
@FullbringIchigo Except the publishers and developers would have to agree to it. Which is easier said then done.
Action Henk looked a bit quirky, a bit different. Instead another 8 bit side scrolling shooter...
I'm keeping my PS4, PS+ sub and Vita though.
@FullbringIchigo I agree. The last two voting I felt were one sided. I feel that Broforce had won before the voting even started due to the hype. Honestly I thought Assult Android Cactus looked like the better game, but whatever I guess it's a good thing Broforce won cause then we would have had to listen to the fanboys whine on how Broforce should have won.
At least now people don't have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to arguing that "too many pixilated platformers are on plus" since one was just voted in.
Shame Assault Android Cactus didn't win. Nothing against Broforce, but I feel like that's exactly the kind of game that the "horde" usually complain about...
@get2sammyb Clearly a small horde otherwise BroForce wouldn't have won. I voted for AAC too but I know BroForce would be too popular.
Dudebrocracy won here.
I am interested in all 3 games, but Cactus looked more interesting. Still all games will be released and the "losers" discounted, so win win.
@adf86 I also voted AAC. I can tell you the reason Broforce won had nothing to do with being a pixelated platformer, it was because of all the stupid 80's refrences that made it won. This day an age you make something with a retro feeling or flavor and people just go nuts for it. Doesn't matter on the gameplay, or genre just that it refrences something from the 80's and you have a best selling game.
@sinalefa How is that a win win? I have to pay for AAC even though it's discounted while a game that shouldn't have won is free?? They should do like @FullbringIchigo said. That would have been a win win.
I voted Broforce just due to it being something I'd probably play. AAC looked good but the art style put me off, and action henk just looked terrible.
@Tasuki Why shouldn't Broforce have won? There's something about it that compelled people to vote, so they did.
Broforce is AWESOME played with BROS. Give it a chance. Glad it won!
I absolutely love Broforce, so it's great that more people can play it for free. A bit of a shame that Action Henk didn't win, though
Another rigged vote and another HORRIBLE game just like Grow Home. Either Sony stacks the deck or people are literally voting for the game that looks the worst. There is no way that many people actually want to play this garbage. Assault Android Cactus looked ok but seems similar to the Helldivers style of play that we just got. The only truly different, unique and entertaining option was Action Henk, and it actually looked like it at least belonged on a PS3, Broforce looks like it belongs on a 80's PC.
PSN LIBERATED.
I was pretty sure Broforce would win. Obvious choice.
Would have preferred AAC but happy with Broforce. Looks like a fun game.
@adf86 but surly if they are up for voting then they already have permission
My vote was for Assault Android Cactus. Honestly, the only one that I didn't like the look of was Broforce, and alas it was the winner. Go figure.
@younghusky I disagree. Action Henk looked like a tough sell. It wasn't a racing game, it wasn't a platformer, it didn't seem to be based on skill, the humour was divisive, it looked like an early access game, and it had no hype except the vote and a blog post about it.
Broforce has been quite successful and critically well received. It has a large amount of people who want to play it. Therefore it won. Saying it was the worst of the three games because it didn't appeal to you makes no sense.
Personally, I would have placed Action Henk a very distant third due to the reasons stated above.
Doesn't look like a racer, platformer or skill based, still looked 100% more fun than Broforce. I don't vote or like a game because it got good reviews by retarded hipsters that think it was "so bad it's good". And you have to assume Broforce will be well received by critics, for what it is I'm sure it works, that doesn't mean it would stand up against any other game. Critics don't have anything to compare it to except PC games from the '80s, so yeah in that genre it is probably mind-blowing, but that doesn't mean it is worth playing TODAY.
There is also the problem with the fact that as soon as voting opened up, somehow magically Broforce had a MASSIVE lead.
@Johnnycide
I think there's a good chance Action Henk came in second because of people who also played the game on steam and know how good it actually is. We had multiple games like Broforce and we just had Helldivers, so Action Henk should've made the cut imo because it brings something different to the table. It does require skill btw and is extremely fun to play with others... I hope the discounted price won't be too high so people can still enjoy it.
@younghusky sorry but for us gamers who game on PC also broforce has millions of followers and that lead was from gamers like me who picked it in under 10 min of it going up , LOL i love how spoiled some gamers are just look at you the game you wanted did not get it so right away it was busted because so many people voted so fast at the start LOL. you guys will say anything to make your feelings less hurt when something happens you dont agree with.
also this game on PC is huge bigger than most games on ps4 so yes do some research before you act like a spoiled bruiting kid who lost a vote
Some sour grapes on display here. More people wanted to play Broforce. Get over it.
borewors go play the games before you act like you know anything because broforce and helldivers are nothing alike its like saying cod is the same persona. I hate when gamers have not even played games and then you talk about them i bet you looked pictures and just guessed LOL bro-force is loved by so many already so its obvious any pc gamer will pick it as its one of the best and its updated regularly . Us gamers the hardcore ones that own all the consoles and a killer RIG we play the games then have a right to comment not guess like you and dont lie saying you played it because no real gamer would say hellbringers and broforce are the same games LOLOL
I voted for Broforce but I doubt if I will play it. None of the games looked that appealing.
@godslayer1975 Actually I was fine with either of the other games winning and wasn't thrilled with any of the options. If more people actually voted for Broforce then that proves there are a LOT of dumb gamers. Why would you want to play a game that you could have played on an '80s PC? This is the PS4, shouldn't we be getting games that at least look like they were made in the past 10 years? Gamers, excuse me, people who claim to be gamers, have become a huge joke and are the reason so few companies actually out any effort into making high quality games. Why work hard to make a REAL PS4 game when you can keep churning out garbage like this and getting the idiots to play it?
@younghusky wow, did you even play Broforce? You sound like you have no clue.
@godslayer1975 He didn't say Broforce and Helldivers are similar. Learn how to read before trying to put someone down because you just made yourself look like a complete fool. What he did say was that we have had many games similar to Broforce. We have also just received Helldivers, and that is similar to the gameplay style of Assault Android Cactus. You think because you claim to have a good gaming rig that it makes you better than people, yet it didn't help you to not be an idiot. I have been a gamer since the Atari and I expect games to get better as time goes on, I didn't buy a PS4 to play games that I could play on a $50 PC.
@Tasuki
The way I see it, I get to pay a reduced price for a game I was willing to pay full price for in the first place, while not paying a dime for the one that I may or may not have bought. Of course the best thing is to have the game I want for free, but for the reasons you stated Broforce had it in the bag all the time.
Booooo, I call shenanigans.
Democracy only works when everyone agrees with me. Cactus cactus cactus!
@Johnnycide Because it already had a massive cult following and was well known before the voting even happened and the other two games were not even heard of before. It would be like putting Star Wars Episode VII against two foreign films that had limited release in a few small areas and say ok Vote on the best movie of 2015. They should either have three games with equal exposure.
@younghusky Ok that will do. You made your point. I ask you to please not insult other users, if you can't then please don't comment.
Thanks for understanding.
Right let's get this straight Helldivers and Assault android Cactus are not similar games in the slightest. One is a slow pace shooter with co-op strategy elements. Whereas the other is a fast paced twin stick shooter with a strong arcade feel. If these two are similar based on camera view and twin sticks then try and say Half-Life is like CoD and see how you get.
But as always whenever a Plus article happens the comments descend into a select few who aren't happy that a service (that 7 million+ subscribe to) isn't tailored to them specifically.
@Boerewors it's already out on PC? Now that I did not know.
I do see your point about it being different, but personally I can't stand games which seem to be daft for the sake of it. Personal opinion though.
@Tasuki I guess that Broforce was the bigger name of the three, but I don't agree that it was as big as you made out. AAC seemed to be well known by many users on this site, same as Broforce. I can't comment on PC Gaming sites as I don't read them (hence my ignorance toward Action Henk).
@Johnnycide According to Steamspy BroForce has sold about half a million copies. So it did have a much larger fanbase but AAC has sold more then Action henk but yet it didn't stop it from finishing third.
Broforce looked tolerable so I put a vote in for it, would have preferred brute force that was a cool original xbox title.
@adf86 in that case I'd say AAC deserved better. The only thing that I disliked was the character art. A possible factor is that people who liked AAC also liked Broforce, which is more well known (though I'd say Equilibrium, or Dune, as opposed to Star Wars).
Half a million copies is pretty good seeing as piracy is a major issue on PC.
@Johnnycide I voted for AAC because it was the game I wanted to play most but I know it wouldn't have beat BroForce.
@FullbringIchigo You win today's award for greatest idea. Well done!
It looks fun, I was appalled by the last game to 'win', christ on a bike, grow home really was crap. Hopefully this will be much more deserving.
YES! And I totally forgot to vote xD
But thank god people chose right for me ;p
I voted for AAC and was surprised how far ahead Broforce was at the time. I van see a lot of people are excited about it which I find odd as it looks so mediocre to me. I actually decided to play Grow Home last night as I never got around to it and I'm thinking Broforce is going to be a similar disappointment. Though last time I was surprised Armello lost whereas this time all three game were unappealing to me.
I know last time I told everyone to not vote for Grow Home as it was the cheapest game.
This time I am thinking Action Henk will be the cheapest.
I am also thinking that Android Cactus would have been the better choice as it is also for the Vita.
Last I looked BroForce canceled their plans for the Vita.
Action Henk is also suppose to be for all three systems.
I don't care for any of theses games and most of the times I end up not playing the Ps+ titles except for Gaucamelee, TR OSIRIS and kings quest. Besides those game not many others I have played and finished them.
@Mathuselah grow home was absolutely garbage.
Great - it won because it was the best looking game!
Been wanting to play BroForce for a while so very happy it's won. The other games looked good too but the Metal Slug-like vibe of BroForce really appealed to me. Still, at least the others will be available at a discount, right?
@Johnnycide I would wager a good proportion of votes was because it was the only game that some people had heard of.
And another chunk by people who had already played it on PC.
I personally didnt vote for any as they all just look tripe to me, and as I dont like the look of any of them to begin with, I wouldnt enjoy any of them.
I do find it interesting though that yet again, the voting was for two new/unheard pf games and a game that has already been out in the wild.
Why not 3 box fresh unheard of releases?
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya Because they need to be games that are close to releasing together and must have developer approval, which narrows the search.
I also voted for AAC and I liked Grow Home.
@adf86 I never thought of that.
Understandable but it (can) make it one sided unfortunately.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya I don't deny that but if I was looking at it from a developers point of view I'd be thinking "hey I didn't win the vote but I got nearly two weeks of free publicity for my game, most indie games don't get that"
yawn yawn more crap
@SegaBlueSky I believe so. At least that's what happened last time.
Action Henk had quite the lead when I voted for AAC! Might pick it up if the price is right.
Assault Android Cactus, noooo!!
Very entertaining article. Thanks for the laughs while I'm on break!
This is the one I was least looking forward to but I'll still give it a shot.
@Tasuki Me and my friends all went to play Expo last year and broforce had a booth their. We played 4 player same screen co-op and it was great fun! Better than I expected anyway. So I voted for it, and perhaps a large group of people had also already played it and know its not bad where as the others are unproven?
A good title won it suits casula gamers and hardcore gamers as it has plenty for everyone. It is good to take a break from AAA titles. AAC could be a next choice but it is for younger gen visually for older gamers a pixelart late 90ish visuals are nostalgic and more acceptable. Action Henk to my opinion is a game that would raised wave of hate on Sony but i suspect that it coud also turn out to be quiet a good surprise and fun to play. The ad did not get my attention. Looking forward to BROFORCE
I voted Assault Android Cactus but I also liked the look of broforce, so I am looking forwards to trying out broforce.
@Davidspegasus @younghusky Please take the political talk elseware as it's not allowed here thanks.
@Tasuki nothing like blocking freedom of speech.
@younghusky Sorry to disappoint that we have rules here.
Get over yourself dude. You are a forum moderator, don't let that miniscule amount of "authority" go to your head. I did not speak against any political party or express any type of political view so I am not violating any rules. If you really want to block me go ahead, not really a fan of forums full of people that talk out their backsides and then report others for stating their opinions. Grow up dude.
