Those of you that were paying attention may remember that we reported all of The Division's DLC would arrive late on the PlayStation 4 due to a marketing arrangement with Microsoft – but that's not actually the case. Ubisoft's currently got three paid expansions planned for the post-pandemic shooter, though only two of them will come to the Xbox One first.
Underground, the first of the add-ons, will whisk you away to New York's subway, while Survival sounds like some sort of nifty "horde" rip-off. The Last Stand, however – which is due out next winter – remains under wraps, aside from the fact that it will launch "simultaneously" on all platforms. A sign, perhaps, that the Redmond firm's struggling to seal these third-party deals like it once used to?
As you'd expect, all of the game's free updates will launch day-and-date on the PS4, too – including the Incursions update, which seems like the title's answer to raids. Another free add-on, Conflict, will include additional Dark Zone content and more. The dev's got a decent road map planned, then – but will it be able to successfully steal players from Destiny? We'll see.

This is why I can't stand these kind of DLC deals, no matter who does it. I can understand the point, but I'd rather the money go into creating interesting exclusives that would actually drive console sales. I think that's why this is a relatively weak deal for MS. The shear amount of PS4s vs Ones means that MS would have to dump tons of cash onto Ubisoft to make it worthwhile.
