Sony's still plugging away at PlayStation Vue, the online television service which it hopes will convince you to cut your cable subscription. Writing on the PlayStation Blog this week, the platform holder announced that it will dropping the price of each of its membership tiers by $10 per month, meaning that the cheapest option now starts at just $39.99.
Not only that but it's also adding various Disney, ABC, and ESPN channels to the roster. We're not going to recap the full line-up here, but you can find more information about the specific channels being added and the subscription models through here. If you're already a member, then you'll score the savings starting with the next billing cycle.
Remember, this service is only available in select US cities at the moment, but the manufacturer states that it's working hard to roll it out in more locations. Are you already a PlayStation Vue member? Has this convinced you to give the app a go? Record your favourite show in the comments section below.

Playstation Hue?
Still too expensive, and I need my NY Mets - especially this year - but at least it seems like they are trying to make it work, moreso than PSTV or 3D games.
I'm still not even sure if I qualify for this, but I'll go read up on it again.
The moment it's in my area I will finally have cable again. Tried (and I'm drawing a blank along tv?) on my x1, it was rather painful a lot of times, especially for any live sporting event, and the past few years I've just gone with netflix, hulu, prime, and now hbo now the past year. Got rid of cable because even basic hd cable with no dvr in my area added $88 a month, 119 if I got digital plus that had channels I actually watched.
If it was available in my area I'd pick it up in a heart beat. Even it's most expensive package at 55 a month is much cheaper than what I currently pay. Adding ESPN is huge too I mainly only use cable to watch sports anyways.
I would try it but it's not available in my area. I am hoping it would as having live tv would be nice for a change.
@rjejr It has every sports station known to man. You won't miss out. It's a ridiculously good deal compared to cable and unlike sling tv there is no issue with live events and big premieres. It's unlimited DVR and favorites tool blow cable out of the water. They better succeed because there is no way I can go back to slow as molasses cable with their ridiculous fees and outdated interface and functionality, not to mention severely limited DVR.
@lynnneez Thanks. My big problem now is, besides watching my Mets, my wife watches 3 tv shows, Arrow, Flash, Legends, all of which are on CW, which apparently this doesn't have.
@rjejr Lol those are the same shows I watch
I will soon dump my cable. Too much for the amount of channels i watch. My plan is to start with an HD antenna and then try something like Sling.
All i want is my local stations, TCM, CNN, ESPN, MLB, TBS, and my local sports for about $30-$35.
All Sony needs to do is offer an app like Sling in my location and i will give it try. Their tv app would just need a low price for a small basic package and stream HD as well as their youtube app does on my slow 5mb internet.
All these streaming services. I pay my tv license and virgin basic and stream everything else. Sod movie channels or sports they are a rip off.
@DualWielding No Vue for you.
That's interesting, but doubt I'll ever use Vue. I'm more than happy with NetFlix, they've got everything I could ever want to watch.
"Don't tell Jim Carrey"
Haha, nice
The service is STILL not in my area, so I must patiently continue to wait...
Who has time to watch TV these days? Everything can be seen at anytime through the internet, and if a particular thing is not available through legal means there's always torrents.
@DualWielding what game and character is that GIF in your icon?
