There's something about the combination of hectic gameplay and thumping electronic beats that never fails to get our blood pumping. Upcoming PlayStation 4 title Furi looks to follow in the footsteps of games such as WipEout, trying to capture that same sweat-on-brow adrenaline rush, and judging by its latest trailer, it could well succeed.
According to the developer, the game's boss fights can be downright brutal, but only if you're not up to the task. Apparently boasting super tight controls, success is going to depend on your own reflexes and skill. "With Furi, we want to give the player an extreme satisfaction when s/he beats a boss. That means s/he'll have to sweat a little for it," The Game Bakers' Emeric Thoa states. " It's fast-paced and requires a lot of timing, reflex, and judgment. When you press a button, the character reacts immediately. It's part of what makes it "fair," the developer explains.

This looks fantastic!
Nice, I wonder how they could pad the game out. Seems very crazy yet routine driven. It could get boring quickly.
I feel like I want those style graphics in a first person view vr game...maybe it's just me lol
Watched the video again, the character reminds me of hyper Light Drifter a bit. Anyone know when that one is scheduled for release, or have I missed the release and not even realized lol
@SonyInfinity On the PS Blog, all they said is later this year.
It looks beautiful and can't wait to play it.
