You win some, you lose some β but you've always got to try. Sony accidentally listed Fallout 4's pricey Season Pass for free late last week, leading many to believe that they'd nabbed all of Bethesda's post-release content at a complimentary fee. However, it's since revoked access to the DLC, so you'll need to stump up if you want to play today's Automatron add-on and any future expansions on the way.
"The Fallout 4 Season Pass was briefly made available erroneously free of charge on the PlayStation Store in the SCEE region on Friday, 18th March," an SCEUK spokesperson said. "This was an error and has now been removed. For consumers who may have tried to purchase the Fallout 4 Season Pass during this time, regretfully, these orders will not be fulfilled." At the end of the day, we probably can't complain, right?

Haha, my brother was all pleased with himself. At least I got it at the original price. You could've gotten it free if you got into the Beta I believe. Oh well.
@JoeBlogs I imagine it probably is in the Uk, Sony are hoping to get out of paying Bethesda the bill.
@JoeBlogs It is, but it might get murky online. Also, worth noting there was no price listed here - it was free.
@get2sammyb Sorry to go off topic again, but can you recall the last time you saw or heard anything about Ratchet and Clank? It's a PS4 exclusive title being published by Sony and it releases just 3 weeks from today, but I can't remember the last time we had a vid, screenshot, anything. Do you think Sony is holding a grudge over Sunset Overdrive?
@SonyInfinity "they probably don't expect it to be a big seller anyway."
It's a beautiful $40 PS4 game from a franchise that everybody loves, and it's now out a full month before Uncharted 4 thanks to that games most recent delay, so it should sell really well. If Sony promoted it.
@JoeBlogs "I think we'll see more hype closer to the release of the movie."
The game comes out on April 12
The movie comes out on April 29
I don't think waiting until 2 weeks after the game releases is a good time to start hyping it.
@SonyInfinity Well it isn't going to sell FIFA, Madden or COD numbers, but I still think they could promote it a little so people don't forget about it while they are waiting for U4 and PSVR. R&C to me is the kind of game a lot of people will want to play, but nobody is going to be excited for it,it isn't a big hype release, it's the kind of game people have to be reminded about that it's coming out or else it will slip under the figurative radar.
@JoeBlogs If it was the other way around, movie first in 3 weeks, then the game 2 weeks later, then I would certainly agree with you, big game push when the movie releases.
I should probably add those are the US dates, I really don't know when the EU dates are, so they could be different. I'm not even sure if the movie is releasing outside of the US and Canada.
@SonyInfinity if we're launching on Nintendo with the movie too, it'd sell gazillions
@rjejr They've got Ratchet as the wallpaper on the PlayStation Blog and recently sent out preview code to sites not named Push Square.
We're going to have to get back on topic here, people.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi @get2sammyb @JoeBlogs
It's the same as UK retail law. If you offer something at a price you have to sell it at that price point. But for a retailer you can refuse to sell it at the Incorrect price. So you'll never get it at the Incorrect price unless like a supermarket it's pence and worth the good will. With the ps store being like a cartel I doubt they care too much for good will.
@get2sammyb "to sites not named Push Square"
You are 1 very funny man when you let yourself be. And thanks for the blog tip, made me feel better. Toys R US (US) is giving a free copy of Lego Jurassic World w/ a PS4 purchase this week. I'll be keeping an eye out for something similar when R&C releases.

@ShogunRok Oh no, not you too Shogun. It's a Sony site and we're discussing a PS4 game that releases in just 3 weeks. I can see you guys getting all uppity about not wanting us to talk about NX, but Ratchet and Clank? Really? Terrorists are blowing up people in Belgium and you're worried about us going "off topic" to talk about Ratchet and Clank? First world problems indeed.
I don't really care, I don't buy season passes at launch unless the publisher is Bethesda...as you may tell, it isn't all too often.
@rjejr Now come on, that's one heck of a jump in logical thought. You know what I mean!
If we want to talk about Ratchet & Clank, we can go to the appropriate forums to do so.
@JoeBlogs it's a bit of a grey area, if it is an obvious mistake then no they don't have to sell it at the displayed price and this would definitely fall into that category
@gingerfrog they already owned it though, when they checked out they would have received an emailed receipt. Sony are trying to save themselves some money but I can almost guarantee that if people start complaining they'll have to go back on the revocation of access.
@JoeBlogs No, that's a common fallacy. Listing something with a price is an invitation to treat, you then offer when you attempt to purchase and then the retailer can either accept your offer or not. And that holds especially in cases where the price is obviously an error, which this almost certainly would be seen as.
@JoeBlogs See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invitation_to_treat
If an item is mistakenly advertised at a certain price, a store has no obligation to sell the item at that price. The offer of "free" was not definite and clear that is should be free, as there was nothing specifying as such apart from the price, therefore Sony has no binding law stating they have to fulfil that order.
@JoeBlogs No, because its not being advertised at that price, its an error.
To give you an example, if a store is in the middle of a price change and one item has not yet had its price tag changed then it is still the new price regardless of what is on the box.
However since that cant happen online digitally, Im assuming the rules are made up as they go along π
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi If they used the small/fine prints like every company in Holland does they dont have do anything.
I had a feeling they wouldn't allow that.
@ShogunRok Sorry, but after Tasuki Monday and then you yesterday... I honestly don't get what your guys problem is with being slightly off topic, I really don't. You should see the things we talk about over on Nintendo Life. Half the time we're having conversations and we don't even remember what the topic is. There is still a moderator - though I'm not sure who since TBD - The Black Dragon - disappeared, but the moderator looks at language, not if we are talking about the Zelda game in the Starfox article. And considering how few comments there are on PS compared to NL, where articles routinely have 100 comments per, I'd think you would be happy we were commenting on anything videogame related. Whether it's Zelda, NX, Pokemon, anything. If you don't want us talking about ISIS and Trump, OK I get that - I don't want to be talking about them either - but videogames on a videogame centric site? What gives?
But thanks anyway. I'm replying to you b/c I felt like I owed you an explanation, and then I'm thanking Sammy for the R&C article, I feel like he wrote the title and first paragraph based off of what many of us were discussing in this thread, then I'm taking a break. If I'm arguing w/ you I'm obviously dong something wrong. ;-P
