We thought we'd said something wrong when the developers of Lichdom: Battlemage ignored our requests to review its upcoming game – but it turns out the title's just trash. Okay, that's unfair, we haven't technically played it yet – but the… Er, well the video embedded doesn't paint the prettiest of pictures. Unless you're a fan of PowerPoint that is – then this may well be the most impressive use of the presentation software that you've ever seen.
Seriously, though, the framerate in the above PlayStation 4 gameplay has to be up there with some of the worst we've ever seen – it's barely running at all. Marry that to the ugly motion blur, long loading times, and borderline offensive implementation of Troy Baker, and this is one that we'd probably recommend you skip. It'll probably get a review average of 60 or something on Metacritic.

60FPS PS4K exclusive
@DrClayman Save us Neo!
I loved the idea of this game. Shame it's utter crap!
Wow! What a joke
I bought this game on PC when it was in early access and it's okay, but man does it run horribly on PS4. I was thinking about maybe picking it up again on my platform of choice, but now I'm definitely staying away.
Looks like a copy and paste job.
Get used to it guys, ps4k is coming lol
pre ordered it now lol.
Even so I payed £3 for this on gog its okay for a £3,
But that just looks awfull.
@Neolit To be fair - and I'm not defending any platform holder here - but certification is mainly designed to ensure that a title runs and doesn't brick your console. It's up to the developer to ensure that the experience is good.
Hell hath no fury like an editor scorned...
2 minutes of Loading Screen???'
LOL...
A fine example of optimization being one of the bigger issues with modern PS4 games not the hardware. Neo will just allow lazy code to run better (or allow for lazier code).
Being as you called the game trash without playing it they were right not to allow you to review it.
Kinda sad considering the game is great on PC, runs like butter and its pretty fun.
i remember when people reviewed games based on gameplay and not fps, now people are sounding more like art critics with sticks the size of baseball bats up their asses. maybe people should try just playing the damn game for entertainment rather than to just find faults.
@xyle666 When the load times are ridiculously long - over 2 mins - then when you finally 'try' to play a game that the frame rate never goes above 20, its impossible to play!!!
Digital Foundry's video on this is titled - 'Worst frame rate we've ever tested'
