Y'know the saying 'cock tease'? We can definitely see a future where the same definition is attributed to the phrase 'Crash tease'. Sony either knows something, or it's being utterly reckless at this point, as now PlayStation Latin America has pumped out a picture of the iconic platforming badass. It attached the hashtag #TBT to the post, which obviously means Throwback Thursday.
However, it's put some serious work into the artwork. The picture appears to be brand new artwork, but it's actually an old magazine scan that's been heavily re-touched to look new. Who'd go to that much effort for a bit of retweet bait? An under pressure social media manager maybe? Perhaps.
Or maybe – just maybe – the 'coot is making a comeback.

Never really liked Crash that much, maybe due to the time it came out, Super Mario 64 and NiGHTS were released (both better than Crash in my opinion).
I still think we're going to see a new Crash Bandicoot game. May not release this year but it is going to get announced.
Not again......
Can they just announce it already if they're gonna do it? E3 isn't too far off, can they just do that instead of all these teases?
It'll be announced at E3...until then, they're just riding the hype train to get people excited, or to see if there will be enough excitement to actually release a title again. It would be nice to have a new Crash adventure...then, maybe they'll also make a new Spyro adventure like the previous on PS1 and the first 2 on PS2. (not the Legend Of Spyro ones).
Just make a new Crash game already. :/
@Gamer83 I really hope so. It's been too long.
Insomniac re-imagining Spyro
Holy f*ck

I think they have to do something at this point. There's been too many teases and people are definitely interested.
I'm getting to the point where I think they are just celebrating a Playstation mascot that bought them a lot of success. Not sure we'll see anything new.
Don't get me wrong...I'd like to be proved wrong.
I would love a new Crash game ONLY if its good. I waited so long for an old school Tony Hawk and yeesh what a disappointment.
Anyways I would be happy if they just released an HD collection of the original Naughty Dog PS1 games. Maybe that's even the safer bet?
@Gamer83 With the critical succes of Ratchet and Clank and maybe some relative good sales numbers this sort of games have a chance to reignite the genre.
It's definitely happening. Of that I am certain. Hell, almost everyone has played Crash, even Shigsy (or Miyamoto to us his less common name).
Crash Bandicoot PS4K
With all the hype for this, I'm kind of put off by the idea of a new Crash game. It wasn't too long ago that Crash games were being pumped out with no regard for quality. In its day, the first Crash was a new experience and, arguably, the first into the screen runner. This has since been surpassed. Rachet and Clank has beaten Crash to the punch and a Knack sequel (funnily enough) would seem to have more going for it. This is going to hurt, but if you miss Crash, Temple Run is free on the app store...(bracing for impact)
Would love a new Crash game!Although saying that,unless it's done by Naughty Dog ( which is extremely unlikely)I'd be afraid it would end up being a huge dissapointment.
But I have Ratchet coming next week and that looks amazing.
Who knows,a new Ratchet followed by a new Crash then a Jak and Daxter and Spyro
@Wazeddie22 played the R&C demo and its glorious in action i never played the ps2 games so that is a no brainer for me
I will laugh so hard if Shawn Layden walks out on to the E3 stage and announces that Crash Bandicoot is back. Then pulls out a Crash Bandicoot Skylander figure from his pocket and say the figure is exclusive to PlayStation platforms. No new title, just a cameo in Skylanders.
@Worlock_ed nights! What a game
@Sanquine
I'm not really sure if anything that happens with R&C is going to effect what happens with the potential for a new Crash Bandicoot. I actually think a new Crash game is going to happen and that it has been in development for a while, they're just waiting for the right time to announce it. I could be wrong but there's been too many references over the last couple years for there not to be anything going on behind the scenes.
