It's the weekend. We're gonna play games like it's the weekend. We're gonna beat games like it's the weekend. And there may be a Platinum or two earned for good measure. Y'all know the drill by now, valued readers – here's what we're playing this weekend.

I had a dreadfully tough time with the first ten or so hours of Dark Souls III, but I'm finally starting to find my rhythm now. There are surprises at every corner in this desperately difficult PlayStation 4 adventure, but I'm loving every controller crushingly tough moment.

After a snafu with review codes, I will finally be getting around to giving Enter the Gungeon a run for its money this weekend. Look forward to reading my hopefully witty and informative words about it very soon.

This weekend, I'll be bringing my 'time' with Quantum Break to a close so I can commit myself fully to Dark Souls III. Having re-watched this week's DS3 live stream, I can see that I've picked up some habits from Bloodborne that I'm really going to need to break, since it's clear that they're not going to fly in From Software's latest. Finally, I'll also try and cram in some more of the Battleborn Open Beta. Who's with me? Based on be level of interest around here: no one!

It's my birthday weekend, so I'll be spending Sunday with a hangover, playing one of my birthday presents on the Vita: Virtue's Last Reward. I played it ages ago and loved it, but I need a refresher before Zero Time Dilemma comes out.

I've been making slow but steady progress in Demon's Souls. After beating every world's first boss, I'm on to conquering the second-tier of baddies this weekend from Stonefang Tunnel to the Valley of Defilement. In between acquiring a slew of souls, I'll be switching to my Xbox One to check out the DOOM and Gears of War 4 betas on the side.

This weekend will see me trying once more to break my DiRT Rally addiction, which is getting a little out of hand. Each day sees a new daily online challenge with credits to be won, each new car has to be tinkered with and maxed out on the upgrade path, and then there is the compulsive PvP RallyCross which can eat up days of your life!
Sam Brooke, Reviewer
It'll be PES 2016 for me this weekend, as I'll be recovering from Liverpool's insane win against Dortmund, AKA The Best Match of All Time. I'll also be digging out Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my PlayStation 2, playing through the excellent Galactic Conquest mode all over again while yearning for a PS4 port.
Simon Fitzgerald, Reviewer
This weekend, I'll be playing Enter the Gungeon in the hopes of making it further than floor three. Otherwise, I'll be found hammering home some more quality goals in Rocket League.
Victor Nowogurski, Moderator
I finally get a weekend off, which means it's Gamepalooza for me! Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, a bit of Smite, and some retro game goodness is on my menu.
You know what's on Victor's menu – but what's on yours? As always, share with us your gaming itinerary in the comments section below.

For me it's the same as the past two weekends: The Witcher 3 <3
I'm also about 7 hours into Dark Souls 3 after two very late night/early morning binges, so I'll probably fit that in somewhere too.
@Gatatog How far in are you?
Finishing up Uncharted 3 in my prep for the fourth entry. May 10th can't come soon enough and I took two vacation days after the release to play it. After UC3, I'm going to dive into Ratchet & Clank. I've never played any game in the series.
Rocket league and the DOOM open beta on PS4 before I prepare to die on the platinum path in Dark Souls 3
The binding of Isaac on ps4 and vita.
the wonderful 101 on wii u.
Sleeping dogs on xbone.
Bit of FIFA and may dust off the Wii U for some Funky Barn.
Dark Souls 3. Obviously.
Dark Souls 3.
Duh.
@Bluetrain7 XD I still have t finish 3 on the trilogy disc...does it get better after the long shooty shoot shoot bit in the giant container ship graveyard? I just want to explore more temples...
I'll be causing cluttered chaos to various surroundings in Divinity.
@get2sammyb After 7 hours in Dark Souls 3 I've just entered Road of Sacrifices. The Witcher 3 though, I'm about 75 hours into my NG+ playthrough and just past the 'Battle of Kaer Morhen'.
I'll be continuing my adventure in Trails of Cold Steel for ps3,so far 73 hours in and loving every bit (apart from the voice acting).
Will also be playing Lego Avengers and covering myself in corpses guts in Dying Light on ps4.
@Gatatog wow, road of sacrifices after 7 hours? That's fast!
Dark Souls 3 and Ratchet & Clank when I have free time this weekend. I'll be at a music festival.
@Mega-Gazz Really? Damn, I was hoping it was normal, because I haven't tried rushing in the slightest
honestly i'm not sure i can be bothered at the moment
might just watch some films instead
@Gatatog You're roughly at the same part as me.
It's finally nice weather here in the northeast, I'm going outside.
Though if I had a PS4 I'd be playing Ratchet & Clank, would have been pre-ordered long ago.
@Gatatog I've played 5 hours and haven't enter the Undead settlement yet
@AyeHaley Yes, it does get better. The ship graveyard is actually one of my least favorite chapters in any Uncharted. There are some big set pieces after including a plane and a horse caravan that are thrilling. There are also quieter moments of exploration and character development. UC3 is a phenomenal game IMO. But be prepared for a difficult final few chapters. Not as bad as UC2 but tough. It builds to a great climax.
@iDangerMouse_ Cant beat an old rally Escort mk II
It's Dark Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls for me as I make my way slowly through what I feel is gonna be a masterpiece, soaking up everything that makes these games great. I'll probably get some Smite in with the SMITE Squad from here and maybe a dash of Rocket League just to keep @Simon_Fitzgerald happy
Doubt I'll be gaming much as I've got food poisoning from some contaminated sushi and the doc came out to inject me and gave me painkillers for the stomach spasms, which hurt like hell by the way.If I do recover to the point where I can game it will be more trails of cold steel.Cant wait till ratchet turns up in the post on 22 nd.
@Rapid bloody hell! Get well soon fella
I bought ni no kuni about a year ago and finally decided to play it. Also a bit of zen pinball 2.
Loving ratchet and clank so far.
Visiting my in-laws this weekend so not a whole lot. Got a little Lego Marvel Avengers in this morning before we got on the road. But I plan to try and go for the Plats on Final Fantasy Type 0 and Lego Avengers since I'm on vacation this week.
Ratchet & Clank. Very awesome game.
Unfortunately, not R&C on PS4. So I'll play Crack in Time and try not to cry in a corner.
PSP: Star Wars: Battlefront II, Killzone: Liberation
I just picked up dishonored ps4 and wolfenstein second hand (saving up for UC4). Think I will hit wolfenstein hard tonight.
Was going for plat on tomb raider definitive edition but I think it needs multiplayer and (no surprise) couldn't find a match. Sigh.
@Neolit I also totally adore transistor and i hope supergiant games make a new game soon.
@Rudy_Manchego y no luck on that trophy and even if you find matchs its very hard to hit lvl 60 like damn.... i hate online trophies they should be an extra thing like DLC trophies
Playing Darksouls 3 and its slowly but steadily geting better and hopefully will surpass bloodborne for me.
Dark.... Souls. Loving dark souls 3. Nuff Said.
Dark Weekends 3.
Finally decided to pick up a PS4 yesterday along with Dragon Quest Heroes, TearAway Unfolded & Gravity Rush Remastered (loved the vita version) so I'll be sinking some time into those.
Oh & watching SW:TFA too (my copy arrived Thursday).
If I have any time I'll mostly be on the Xbox One with Killer Instinct and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Gonna throw in some Street Fighter V for the PS4 too.
@Johnnycide thanks dude
Probably some workout for my brain with the witness and hopefully the witcher III. Both games are fantastic imo!
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 - hopefully somewhere towards completion of the dream island.
Lumines ES - Playing the music so loud I may as well not be using headphones.
Parappa the Rapper 2 - finishing super solid yellow hat mode.
I will be spending time with the Doom and Lost Reavers Betas. And of course some Splatoon.
@Illusionistt. Yeah I agree. I am not a massive trophy hunter or anything but had hit most trophies in one playthrough and didn't realise the MP ones also counted. Completely kills replay value - particularly where the sp campaign is the main point of the game. Also means older games can't be platinumed.
Oh!
I've got a sister who's nine feet tall
Way down in Cuba
Sleeps in the kitchen with her feet in the hall
Way down in Cuba
I still need to beat that game lol
At Vicar Amelia in Bloodborne... After breezing the witch boss I'm now on a tougher challenge. As my first souls game, I'm loving it. and hating it, of course! May fire up Battleborne, given the negativity getting on I here, imagine that won't last long.
Dark souls 3, this game is the nuts. First DS game I've managed to get into and i feel like I'm playing Tomb Radier on PS1 again.
Having just beaten Quantum Break, here's the new spread...

Filling in time by playing "life is strange" on ps4. Waiting for some big releases on ps4,ps vita later this month.
Life is Strange trial (the wife loved it) , Battlefront and also played Doom beta which was fun but doubt I'll ever buy it.
So glad I decided to go with Ratchet over Dark Souls. It's just pure fun, and having never played any of the series this is great. Can't wait to play more.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi thought you were mega hyped for DS3?
@iDangerMouse_ I will be taking a punt on Dirt at some point, it looks really good
Dark souls 3 for me first souls game, frustrated but loving it !!!
Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition and The Witcher 3.
Dark Souls 3! So good.
