The April showers are particularly unpredictable at Push Square Towers right now, which means that we have an excellent excuse not to brave the outdoors β after all, no one likes getting wet if they can help it. Fortunately, we have a solution: stay indoors and play video games until Monday prematurely arrives. Bonza!

I'm playing a game that I'm not allowed to talk about. It's one that you're really looking forward to, though.

Apparently the level design in the second episode of Hitman is so detailed that there's an ice cream shop which has 20 different flavours and five different types of cone. That'll probably keep me busy all weekend, to be honest.

With a long weekend in front of me I've decided to be a man of gaming leisure ahead of things getting busy next week. With the release of both Battleborn and the Overwatch Beta I need a game I can really relax with. What's my game of choice you ask? Why, Dark Souls III, of course.

For the weekend following my trip to Boston for PAX East, I'm planning on taking it a little easy. By that token, I'll be working on not one but two new reviews for The Park and the newly released Alien-themed pinball tables in Zen Pinball 2. Other than that, it's going to be a pretty low-key couple of days. I might make some room for Netflix or something, but I can't imagine I'll be doing much else.

Thanks to the PSN sale, I've managed to pick up Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth for my Vita, and finally proved to myself once and for all that I'm about two months behind everyone else. I know nothing about Digimon, so I'm really excited to get stuck into a new world!

After slaving over a final exam paper this past week, I need resume my harrowing journey in Demon's Souls. However, I do have some exploits on my Xbox One to get through like Quantum Break, so I'll be bending time to make room for it as well. And most importantly, I've got an awesome interview to work on this weekend for you all to hear. Stay tuned!

I braved the difficulty of the Souls games, I've Platinumed Bloodborne, I've obliterated the Ninja Gaiden series... This weekend, I shall conquer the Nioh Alpha Demo. Damn, this game is seriously making the games mentioned seem like a joke. Really digging it so far, but definitely need to grasp the mechanics more as it definitely has a unique style.

I'll be playing plenty of Hitman: Sapienza this weekend, finding out new ways to ruin the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, while also playing some Fallout 4. I'll probably mix in some Rocket League Hoops, which I don't reckon I'll be any good at.
Simon Fitzgerald, Reviewer
This weekend I'll be going for the Platinum Trophy in Ratchet & Clank. I've completed it three times in the past week and now only require another couple of trophies for the top gong. Other than that you'll find me shooting some hoops in Rocket League. SLAM DUNK!

So, this weekend for some reason I feel like going retro. I have been in a JRPG mood as of late so I decided to do a play through of Breath of Fire on the SNES.
Wakka, wakka, wakka β we're all quite done flapping our jaws. But that doesn't mean that you should stop β scoff a power pellet and ply us with your playtime plans in the comments section below.

Sammy B is playing Uncharted 4 I see, lucky son of a....
I'm playing the Dreamcast games Daytona USA 2001 and Dynamite Cop, and probably some Rocket League.
Sammy Barker...the game you're about to play...it's name start's by the letter U right?
I'm still playing ni no kuni and I'm loving it more and more every second! Also received my 64gb memory card for my psvita yesterday so I'm playing a bit of gravity rush and one piece unlimited world red inbetween.
@sub12 Nice! I actually just recently picked up a Dreamcast and nabbed those games as well. Glad to see I'm not alone playing some Dreamcast games this day in age.
It'll be a mix of Dark Souls 3, This War of Mine, Rocket League hoops, Smite and Trails in the Sky SC. The nfl draft has me in the mood for some Madden too
Away from home so I'm playing Steamworld Heist on Elite in celebration of the new dlc.
Alien - flipping - Nation for me; sweet Lord that game is good! It's neon- lighted crack that keeps me coming back for more, but unlike crack it doesn't ruin my life.... yet.
Just a bit of Diablo 3, trying to get more pets.
Final Fantasy VIII, been working through them all in order (including sequels and spin offs)
I don't know what to play this weekend. I wouldn't mind getting a team together to try and see how well we do at the new BO3 Zombie map - try and get the trophies and Easter egg completed or maybe play a bit more of the new maps in an attempt to get a few more 'Gold' camo's. I have a few other games I could play - I still want to get Zen Meteor in Destiny...
On my XB1, I still have Fallout 4 to work on and a few other games in my back catalogue (If I can be bothered to revisit these) and 'could' play the Gears of War 4 beta.
I am not without options but I am basically killing time now until Uncharted 4 releases....
@Glacier928
Yeah, Dynamite Cop holds up pretty well, it really showcases how 2D beat em ups should have evolved into 3D. Daytona USA 2001, nice tracks, but the controls are just ok.
DS3, Alienation and maybe Fallout, i'll certainly be playing fallout when survival mode's here in a few day's (hopefully).
I'm just repeating myself from the last couple of weekends..so yeah,STILL working through the excellent Trails Of Cold Steel,playing some Dying Light,Wolfenstein The Old Blood and having loads of fun with Ratchet and Clank..
I keep meaning to start Persona 4 Golden on the Vita too but haven't found any time yet..
Oh and almost forgot..Will still be aiming for 100 per cent on Lego Avengers
I was thinking of playing Kingdoms Of Amalur again on the ol' PS3 until Fallout survival mode drops next week.
@get2sammyb Admit it, you're playing Battleborn, and loving it.
Thinking about finally starting Bayonneta 1 and 2, and seeing if I can drag them out until March 2017. Or Metroid: Other M. Seriously.
@sub12 Dynamite Cop is legendary. I remember getting that second hand and enjoying it thoroughly.
PS4 - Ratchet & Clank
Xbox One- Quantum Break
Destiny, Back to the Future, Dark Souls II, Tomb Raider. All PS4.
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD, then probably begin my trek to get the platinum trophy on ratchet and clank.
Dark Souls 3 and hitman for me
TLoU, since I've never finished it; am just before Bill's Town I think. A bit of R-Type (Dimensions) via PS Now, with the ever-so-slightly laggy controls not a problem at all on stage 6 and probably a bit of FFX.
Severed, Persona Dancing All Night and Last of Us Remastered for me.
Helldivers, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Nioh demo.
After last Sunday completing the platinum on Lego Avengers, and up to the moment 100% until the final 3 dlc come out, I decided that I wouldn't touch anything until I grinded out the last 24 special attacks on DBX. I'm leaving for work now but at the moment I have 10 to go. Hopefully I'll get some luck from the RNG monster and finish the platinum within the next week.
@sub12 @Glacier928 The Dreamcast was a brilliant system. I still have mine hooked up to this day for a quick game of NFL 2K or MSR. Another of my favorites especially when the guys from work come over is Fur Fighters.
Finally started on the Uncharted Collection which should carry me all the way to May 10th. Can't believe it's almost here...I want it, but I also don't want this to be the end
Windows 10 - Fire: Ungh's Quest, such a trippy game
Xbox 360 - Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth, playing coop with my daughter. She likes it, I find it quite boring imho.
PlayStation Portable - Star Wars: Battlefront II, still grinding out Galactic Conquest on Elite difficulty.
@Boerewors Thank god! Someone with taste <3 same here
Alienation! A masterpiece! If you have any love for twinstick shooters you have to buy this
I haven't been playing too much because of a bad facial swelling, but today I'll probably resume my exploits in FF8.
@Sanquine
It's the best combination of solid pick up 'n play arcade gameplay with Diablo or Destiny looting and leveling goodness I've ever seen. The base of the game is just what you expect from Housemarque, which is to say an incredible game on a gameplay and technical level, but now they've sprinkled these RPG-lite elements on top I can see myself playing this game for a long, long time.
Sony's own first party output this gen just hasn't been great, with lots of delays and some mediocre games, but with Uncharted 4 (finally) on the Horizon () I can't say it matters all too much thus far. We've been treated to such excellent exclusive second party and third party content that I don't even feel these butterflies in my stomach that I usually feel when one of Sony's big blockbusters is about to release; between Enter the Gungeon, Salt 'n Sactuary (get both if you already haven't), Alienation, Ratchet & Clank and a bit of Dark Souls 3, I quite frankly don't have the time to think about UC4 whenever I switch my PS4 on.
I've seen people complaining about Alienation, both gamers and critics that are actually paid for it alike, that it's "storyline is a bit weak".... my jaw just drops every time I read stuff like that; do these people really want to pass up on one of the best PS4 games out there gameplay wise, because of an element that has no place in games like these in the first place? "It's just the same old story of shooting aliens and not bringing anything new to the table", yeah duh! That the whole point! It's an arcade title at heart and it's meant to be as mechanically sound as possible, which it totally is, and nothing else.
It's arguably the best time to be alive as a gamer, so I pity the people who somehow can't seem to enjoy all the Greatnessβ’.
Xbox One- Killer Instinct
Wii U- Donkey Kong Country 3 (VC)
3DS- Animal Crossing New Leaf and Monster Hunter 4
PS4- Street Fighter V, Skullgirls, and Uncharted 2. Gamer tag is Shonen86 if anybody wants to get in on some friendly matches for the fighting games.
Playing through season 1 of Walking Dead on ps vita. Might try and play wolfenstein on uber difficulty OR go through Firewatch. Was unsure of it but the Push Square podcasters took it out of the Indie bin.
This afternoon I pick up Starfox Zero and Ratchet in the mail. The rest will be AA Double Dragon and the usual Uncharted 3 co op and Splatoon ranked matches.
@DerMeister hope your swelling goes down soon pal
I'm playing trails of cold steel such a great game and borderlands 2 I've picked up three legendary's in the space of 5 hours couldn't believe it. I'll start on ratchet and clank on Tues and I'm anticipating uncharted, I've managed to avoid the spoilers.Happy long weekend of gaming to all.
As I managed to see a few of the highlights from todays matches, I will be smashing some Driveclub and One Piece Pirate Warriors 3.
I need to get one piece out of the way as I'm super hyped for Tropico, I was meaning to buy xcom or civ rev - but this will likely scratch that itch.
PS4
Dark Souls 3
Wii U
Star Fox Zero
Star Fox Guard
X1
[binge-watching Game of Thrones]
3DS
Fire Emblem Fates
Vita
Severed
@rjejr
Both excellent choices. Seriously.
@shonenjump86
I just sent you a friend request for SFV. You will prolly mop the floor with me but I want to give it a try anyway.
@sinalefa The only reason I didn't get DD is 'cos after all these years you can still elbow your way through. Music's good though.
@JaxonH Just curios, why GoT on X1 rather than PS4?
Star Fox Zero
Despite all the hate it's gotten, I am absolutely loving it (yes, including the controls).
@rjejr
HBO streaming app, called HBO Now, has traditionally only been available on iOS devices, Mac, PC, etc. But HBO Now was just released on Xbox One. So I signed up for a free trial and am binging on all 6 seasons now.
I saw GoT for sale on PS4 but I can watch it free on X1 so, I see no reason to shell out for 6 seasons (probably close to $100 total) if I don't have to.
I've been so busy today I've not had time for any gaming! Life Is Strange will be my first port of call if I've got an hour or two spare, plus I'm on review duty again.
@JaxonH No HBO Now on PS4? I thought I saw it, must have just been HBO Go then. I stream all my HBO on PS3 w/ HBO Go as I have HBO w/ my cable subscriber but I'm not paying them an extra $5 per month for On Demand HBO.
You think NX get's any sort of HBO streaming? I just can't see it, too adult oriented.
Playing Uncharted 2 remastered. great game. At one of the sections, I would really believe it's a PS4 game natively. Which is crazy since it is a game from 2009 (obviously touched up).
@rjejr
Eh, not even PS4 got HBO Now. So I doubt NX will. But, you never know. If they're smart they'll start negotiating to get as many apps as possible on that system.
Ratchet & Clank and Dark Souls 3, when I'm not studying for a final...
I'll be playing through the extra level in the Nioh demo (I love this game already) along with finishing R&C and The Banner Saga 2.
@Glacier928 Love My Dreamcast. What I really want is a big CRT tv so I can use my light gun and play house of the dead. But in 2016 it's increasingly harder to convince the missus on such a TV taking up half a room even of they cost just 20 quid.
@sinalefa
Cool, I'm not the best player either lol. But I will accept when I get off from work.
@Rapid Appreciate it! It's actually much better off from a few days ago, but it's not completely gone yet. It's fine enough that I can actually do stuff at least.
@shonenjump86
Nice. I just forgot about the new 7.5gb patch so maybe next weekend
A mixture of games on this three day bank holiday weekend.
Salt and Sanctuary, Dark Souls 3, Ratchet and Clank and some Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Played the Nioh demo. Well I say I played it. Ending up dying twice very quickly without understanding the combat. Even Dark Souls isn't that brutal.
I work every weekend but thankfully not super long shifts. After I got off today I powered on my PS4 and played some MGS V. Going to play Shadow of Mordor soon.
I've taken a break from Dark Souls III before killing off what I think is the last boss in the game. For this break, I've chosen a more relaxing game I picked up from the special offers, namely Life is Strange. I'm curious to see if this game is as amazing as many people say.
I might finish off Dark Souls III if I suddenly get a burst of energy during the weekend, but let's see.
@Drawfull
It is the original game so that is to be expected. You can use other attacks for fun too. I usually abuse the elbow attack if going for a one credit run
Mortal Kombat XL and having a blast with it - NetherRealm nailed it again!
@Grawlog I decided on Bioshock instead. Yeah, my backlog is a bit long in the tooth. Bioshock held up much better than I thought it would on PS3, I was expecting a pixelated mess but it still looked good. Scary too. I played th efirst few hours of Infinite when it was on PS+ just to chck i tout, this is way spoojir so far and I'm only 1 hour in. Going to finish this one. Then M.
@Boerewors Yep, played AlienNation all weekend with friends. Enjoying it.
