Anyone else miss EA's suite of Street titles? Yeah, us too. 3on3 FreeStyle is aiming to at least fill the basketball void, bringing six-player competitive b-ball to the PlayStation 4 this summer. The beta will apparently slam dunk the system imminently, with South Korean developer JoyCity set to roll out a new website on 14th June. That's right around the time of Sony's E3 press conference, by the way.
We're not overly sold on the release's art style in the trailer embedded above, but if this has a nice arcade feel to it, then it could be fun. Rocket League proved that there's a market for much simpler sports games, and given that the flagship basketball games are pretty impenetrable these days, we'd be open to a more straightforward take on the uber-popular sport.

Lol, these type of arcady 'street' games are the only way the "Joeys" of this world get to jump so high they can dunk :')

@Splat I think it might be free-to-play actually. Not totally sure.
I really like the artstyle i hope it does singleplayer with a offline mode.
@Splat
lol! It has PS+ candidate written all over it.
Stick with.....
Arch Rivals (Genesis)
NBA Jam TE (Genesis)
Street Hoop (NeoGeo)
NBA Street Series (Xbox, not those fugly PS2 versions)
I enjoyed the street football series they did but not much sign of it coming to PS4, sad face.
Now watch NBA Street get announced again. Smh
EA is always late.
