Here it is: your first look at Battlefield 1 on the PlayStation 4. This trailer is apparently captured all in-engine, and, let's be honest, it looks outrageous. It's not the alternate history experience many anticipated – instead, we really are going back in time to World War I, albeit with all of the epic scale and bombast that you'd expect from a Battlefield game.
A better reveal than Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare? Absolutely – even if both did lead with dodgy covers.

best part of that trailer was the ad over the top asking what the best part of the trailer was. Think I'll pass on this one.
Oh and if you're were wondering about the ad's question. Well my answer is the end of the trailer was the best bit by far.
My wife got more exicted with the trailer, but it was for the music. In fact I am waiting for her to see LEgends of tomorrow while she has the seven nation army remix in repeat...
I thought it was a good trailer personally! I'm definitely curious to see more gameplay!
Anybody else notice the blimp's happy little face in the thumbnail?
Awesome trailer. Actually looking forward to this one. Might be better suited as a Christmas gift so that they can work out all the server issues and bugs though.
I like the look of this! Looking forward to seeing more.
Looks great, an exciting take on WW1 tech and battles....looks fantastic.
I'm pretty excited for this, which is saying something as I'm not a big FPS player. Though I did enjoy BF4 when I wasn't rubber banding due to the broken servers. I'm most excited to see a big budget game in WWI as I'm a huge history buff.
Wow.
For the first time in as long as I can remember, I'm actually excited for a wartime shooter.
Thank you Battlefield 1. You have shown me how truly generic and copy/paste each annual CoD title is. Now I know for a fact that not even a Modern Warfare digital freebie can convince me to preorder that franchise again.
Just better have a solid single player campaign. They need to nail that aspect.
@JaxonH This echoes my sentiments exactly mate! No interest in military shooters but this?? Yeah, I all over this An incredible trailer and the game looks fantastic!
WW1 isnt my favourite setting but it does allow for more skilled gameplay, as in no lock on weapons etc. But I really have to see some actual gameplay before I can have an opinion about this. So many questions for me still that are very important, is 3d spotting still there, how do the classes work, what kind of gadgets can you carry, what kind of weapon customization is there?
I know a lot of people like this back to basic kind of thing for the franchise, but I feel like ww1 might be too limiting and theyre going to compensate with crazy stuff like horses. Even as a huge battlefield fan I have to see more to get excited.
@JaxonH I really wouldnt hold my breath for the single player if I were you. The only reason its there is so they can take some cool shots for the trailer.. in Bf3 and even more so in BF4 it was a complete afterthought and an uncohesive and lineair mess.
The visuals look really souped up somehow, like they took what made Battlefront sparkle and shoved it into the Frostbite engine. I'm sure we'll be looking at a beautiful game, and BF4 was already quite pretty. Hope the gameplay mixes it up enough to draw in curious bystanders
I'm glad it's not alternate history. But just "history". This could be BF's return to form. BF vs COD, BF already won.
Those graphics are insane. Beautiful.
Whilst the game trailer maybe using the 'in-game engine', it really doesn't mean that this will be the quality of the graphics the majority will experience - probably high end PC visuals with the settings turned up to max. I wouldn't be surprised if quite a bit of this was actually cut-scenes either from the single player. As per all 'Frostbite' games - no doubt it will be 900/60 at best on PS4 too.
