Fallout 4 mods are arriving on Xbox One at the end of the month, but Bethesda thankfully hasn't forgotten about the PlayStation Nation. After announcing a release date for mods on Microsoft's machine, the developer followed up by saying that mod support is "still on track for next month" with regards to PlayStation 4 players.
We're still not entirely sure how the whole system's going to work on consoles, but we guess that there's only one way to find out. Are you looking forward to mods on PS4? Actively attempt to ruin your game in the comments section below.

Display cases! Weapon racks! Armor stands! I say no more.
Is there a mod to make it run properly?
There had better be an infinite resource mod!
After sinking hundreds of hours into DA:I, I really miss party banter. I know a mod can't help me there but if I could have at least a couple of companions at a time I'd love it. Nick and Piper, with Dogmeat?? That would be my dream team.
I'm just wondering how it all works. Will mods disable Trophies? Are you able to download ANY mod that's available through the in-game mod menu? The same ones as PC? If that's the case, then we're going to end up with a lot of absolutely broken save files. Gotta be an accident waiting to happen.
@ShogunRok I definitely agree about the accident waiting to happen, no way I will use a mod on an existing character. And to answer your questions firstly I believe Bethesda said a week or two ago that any and all mods will disable trophies. Which sucks pretty hard especially if there's a mod that fixes something in game that's broken. And second, the mods do have to go through a screening process before they go to console but I'm pretty sure Todd Howard said the only type of mods that won't be on ps4 are ones that probably don't work and obviously mods that include explicit sexual content.
@Crapgeezer Ah, thanks for the info. I suppose some sort of screening process is a must - they can't just allow any old crap on there. That said, I still think it's a risky business. All it takes is for a popular mod to get through screening that has one unseen flaw and we're looking at thousands of players screwing their saves up completely. Anyone who doesn't know the basic ins and outs of modding is at risk, really.
@ShogunRok if you go to this site https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4 you can see what mods are out for each platform and no each platform will have there own library of mods but there are a lot of pc mods that are already on xbox so I would expect the same thing when ps4 mods come out
Some pretty amazing mods that I just don't see making it. Like the one that lets you make waterfalls. Or the complete room overhauls (making those empty-looking rooms you obtain more cosy and unique). Wait and see approach
Disabling trophies means this is useless to me. I was hoping for a mod that simply improved the third person camera. Something as simple as that shouldn't disable anything
Not very well I suspect! Hahahahahahahaaaaaa...
@SKC_Diamond Nice, thanks for the link. I think I'm starting to see how all this is (supposed) to work. We'll see if it does!
No news about a FH patch is sad.
Some mods i will be happy to have are basic stuff like removing junk, trash, and dead bodies that are unwanted in settlements. I would love to have more clothing and settlement options. Most of all a mod for always clear and sunny weather, except rad storms, would have me jumping with joy.
@ShogunRok I'm wondering all the same things honestly.
And I hope this spreads to other games, especially minecraft. That would be pretty epic if 4jstudios and mojang or microsoft could make that happen!
Macho man randy savage mod that is all.
Survival mode is kicking my ass even better than I hoped, I really don't know what I'd add to the game. Maybe item durability
