Still waiting to know what free games you'll be getting as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription in June? All will be revealed next week, service community manager Fran Mead has revealed on Twitter. This month is an awkward one, with the 31st May falling on a Tuesday – the day that we'd usually expect the Instant Game Collection to be refreshed. It looks like you'll be waiting until 7th June, then, to get your free games.
What will be part of the selection? Well, honestly, we don't know. There are some rumours swirling that NBA 2K16 and Gone Home will be part of the roster, which looks pretty strong from the sidelines. The source doesn't seem particularly watertight, however – the code in an email newsletter, of all things – and the platform holder's remaining schtum for the time being. We'll of course update you as soon as we know for sure.

Gone home would be great, NBA is something I'd try and erase in five minutes.
Gone Home is glorious. Played it for the first time earlier this year, and it lived up to the hype for me. One of those rare games that actually elicited an emotional response in me.
I bought NBA 2K14 shortly after I got my PS4 a few years back. I hadn't bought a basketball game since NBA Live 95 (used to be the only sport I liked back when I was a kid). Imagine my surprise when it turns out to be really complicated. It felt like I was playing FFXIV. The face buttons have different functions depending on the triggered you're holding, a far cry from the Mega Drives 3 button controller. Great graphics and ideally liked the daily update that was included (video highlights of NBA news) but too complicated for what I wanted at the time. Would definitely give it another go if the latest is a PS Plus title.
@Worlock_ed Huh that's odd, I too bought 2K14 when I got my PS4 and I found the controllers pretty simple, and I like you haven't played a Basketball game in years. Also not a fan of complicated sport games too, I like more of the arcade style.
Please no sports games that get rehashes every year anyway... That would be pretty weak, in my opinion. It's time we got a good triple A as a giveaway game.
NBA 2k16 seems too AAA for 2016 PS+
@get2sammyb I'm seriously hoping Gone Home is one of the games. The rest could be total crap and I wouldn't complain if Gone Home were added to my collection. It's been on my wish list since launch and I've been patiently waiting for a sale that hasn't come.

Would be very surprised to see 2k16, but seeing as I haven't grabbed it primarily because of the change to the my player mode I wouldn't exactly mind having it for roster updates alone. Though I did give up with 2k after my Gm got fired post back to back titles for ticking off the owner. I found that if I said the things to make him happy my team did poor, if I told him it was going to be a rough season his approval of me went down but the team won consistently. So I'm not exactly positive I would give it much play.
Hopefully Gone Home is true, because I held off from buying it specifically because of this. I bought it day 1 on PC and I wanna play it again, but I figured it being a plus game was practically a guarantee at some point. Hopefully that time has come!
I don't see why they would add NBA16. Very similar to the previous one and will be very similar to NBA17. If you just downloaded it for free would you pay £45 for what is essentially a minor update in a few months time. You can get Uncharted 4 for that.
Plus has been bad for a while now. Even the discounts have been worse than before. Guess they don't have to put so much effort into the content since people will subscribe just to play online...
I've always wanted to try that basketball game. The career mode on it looks great.
I loved psplus last month. Haters gonna hate, but table top is good after 3-4 hours of playing those special levels are hard! Tropico is on my to do list, I'm halfway through Gow on the vita and I found a bonus game switch galaxy which I downloaded last night for the ps4. That's 4 games I will play.

I'd like Gone Home, don't care about NBA. Games with Gold is really good this month so hopefully Sony will bring something good for us this month. I've added the last 3-4 months to my library but not installed or bothered playing any of them (played table top for 10 mins and promptly uninstalled it)
I'm going to go out on a limb and bet on something like episode 1 of an episodic game.... something we'll see given away alot more of imo. Ep 1 of life is strange would be cool. ep1 of hitman is probably too much to ask but would be a savvy marketting move none the less.
We wish the lineup was that one!

i had an emotional connection with this game that was so unique i cannot describe it. love to see it on Plus because it's a chance for so many players to experience this game.
@themcnoisy i love your thinking, thats what i do every month, get a few of them (mostly 3-4 games) and either download them and play for a few hours or put the others in my library for later. i pay $8 ($69 a year) and get my monies worth with at least $600 of games a year ($50+ a month) for only $69 and because i need it for Online, im not complaining.
wish they do a rehash month where you download 6 games (2 for each platform {crossbuy counts as one not 2}) out of the massive IGC list, i would get Injustice: gods among us & Infamous: First light for ps4, Oddworld: New N Tasty & Gravity rush for PSVITA, Burnouts Paradise & Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3
@Splitrap they changed it back?...in uk it used to be Wednesday then they changed it to Tuesday so we got ps+ update same day as usa...back to Wednesday again now?
I hope neither of those game's are there, not trying to be difficult or peeve people off but I hate walking sim's even with the odd point and click in em and i've never liked basketball this would for me be the worst lineup (personaly I understand the excitement if your a fan of this genre) this year easy. I try all the PS+ game's but I doubt i'd even download these (first ever for me).
NBA would be a great addition, if only for the fact its a sports title in my opinion.

I dunno... A game that came out on PC 3 years ago and has been just a few quid numerous times on Steam is a pretty poor offering. I've had it on Steam for years and have never got around to trying it out so it'll be a total waste of a PS+ for me. It also really plays into the "PS+ is just indie crap, usually from a few years ago as well" image.
Gone Home and NBA2k16 would be amazing in my books! Haven't played a basketball game in a while but do love a good one, and always meant to pick up Gone Home. Actually really like the so-called 'walking simulator' genre, so there.
