One of the most disappointing things about Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception was the lack of bonus features unlockable after completing the campaign. Fortunately, the fantastic Uncharted 4: A Thief's End addresses this complaint directly, including a smorgasbord of obtainable extras, ranging from costumes right the way through to gameplay modifiers.
But the rendering options are easily our favourite addition. These allow you to play the entire game with wacky visual filters enabled, spanning black and white all the way through to 8-bit. But by far the best of these is the cel-shaded option, which transforms the entire title into Jet Set Radio. The best part is that, because almost all of the cut-scenes are rendered in real-time, you can have the effects enabled throughout the entirety of your second playthrough.
We've been enjoying the game with the cartoon-like visuals, and figured that we'd capture some footage to share with you. Keep in mind that, while we've tried to use environments already shown in official media, there may be some very minor spoilers in the clip above.

Looks gorgeous. Gonna make that my Crushing playthrough. Reminds me of "A Scanner Darkly"
@DominicanGlory Definitely! It's a really cool little bonus, and the other ones in the game are neat, too. So cool how you can use the filter from start-to-finish and just generally mess around with the visuals once you've finished the game.
Lots of replay value here.
Okay, god I love that. That looks beautiful. What a neat extra
How good is that! How big is the download!? Done 12gb, and got 31 out of 48 on the second bit done.
Can you upload some of the 8bit one? Or a screenshot?
Personally, I have never been a fan of cel shaded artwork so much prefer the standard look...

@stupidget Cheers
Worth mentioning 8-bit also changes the sound so it's all grainy.
Honestly, not a fan of the style, looks terrible to me. Whatever floats your boat though.
Yeah, personally not a fan of that look. Looks like amateur Photoshop filters to me. But cool its there
Cool idea!
I think the black outlines are a little bit too wide and distracting, but really like the look. Glad it's only an option and not the main game, but a cool option. I've never liked 8-bit, and not a huge fan of B&W but it could work for this game.
How much scuba diving is in the game? I really wish Wii U had an Endless Ocean sequel.
That looks great! I love cel-shaded graphics; however, Uncharted is so beautiful to begin with its hard to decide what looks better.
@rjejr Not much to be honest.
@SkanetWasTaken Doesn't really work like that. This is a filter applied on top of the main visuals. If anything, it's doing more processing with cel-shading applied.
With cell shading it looks like Uncharted on Pandora. " Hello Nathan, my name is Claptrap, and welcome to Pandora".
@get2sammyb Oh well, it's not like I needed any more hype for this. Trying to avoid all of the spoilers is hard enough as it is.
Love it personally, best filter ever!!
I will play my 2nd playthrough in Cel-Shaded filter for sure!
I normally love cel-shading but I don't think this looks good. Still a cool addition though.
I was all set to moan about how I dislike cel shading. I watched the video and I have to say, It's pretty cool.
