It's about bloody time, eh? After months upon months of knowing fine well that it was coming, 2K Games has finally confirmed that BioShock: The Collection is bubbling up onto PlayStation 4.
As expected, it'll include all three last-gen BioShock titles - BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite - along with all of their single player downloadable content and even in-game commentary. In other words, this is a pretty robust package.
The Collection launches on the 16th September in Europe and the 13th September in North America, but will you be picking it up? Be the biggest daddy in the comments section below.

Just give me a new entry already.
The only one I really enjoyed was Infinite. Still it's about time they announced this.
Worst kept secret ever.
@JesWood13 yep wanna see bioshock 4 as well
Not gonna get this not overly keen on remasters but if youve missed out (i honestly dont know how you could have!) Or havent played the dlc id recommend this
Minervas Den is possibly the finest story DLC ever released imo
I couldn't see much of an improvement in the visuals - obviously the increase to 1080p and 60fps are significant but the overall 'look' seems as I remembered. Bioshock 1 was one of my favourite games of last gen and never bought any of the DLC so would consider picking this up...
2 wasn't the follow-up I expected and Infinite just didn't feel like a Bioshock game to me - couldn't get into the setting and feel of it - interested in the return to Rapture DLC though...
Now I can finally play the DLC for Infinite. Also the box art looks really nice.
@Tasuki You didnt like the first one? How come?
I've never played these games at all, but I've heard good things about them, so I think I might give them a go. Hopefully I'll enjoy them!
Wished it was launching during the quiet months of the sumner, but I'll still pick it up.
Never understood the hate Bioshock 2 gets was always gonna be tough following the original but its still a fantastic game
Story is decent and the controls are much better as is the combat, see a lot more areas of Rapture as well - by far one of the best gane worlds created ever is Rapture
Bioshock was one of last gens, surprise hits for me! Bioshock Infinite was just amazing all around. I can't wait to play these again on ps4!
Day one... again. I don't even care that I own all the games on last gen. I love em
One of the best games i have ever played was Bioshock 1 and I also played the rest of the games, still i won't buy the collection though.
Bioshock one was a great game two was so so and three felt vey different from the rest. I enjoyed the games and the story but do not see a reason to go back to the trilogy.
You can get them for dirt on steam, so I wonder what the price would be?
What is up with all these remasters? It almost feels like they're doing them to fill in spaces left by a lack of new games. Oh well. I'll probably get this one.
Thought Infinite was good but overrated so doubt I'll bite for this...
Happy as Larry to hear this news. Massive visual upgrade from my ps3 and now all three on one shiny disc. Hope they consider a steelbook version.
Bioshock is one of the best games ever made I'll definitely be getting this, I don't care its a remaster I want the collection on my PS4 to play.
When people complain about remasters, I point out that it's like the difference between that DVD of your favorite movie and the new shiny Blu Ray. It's a huge difference, and a way to enjoy your favorite movie in a new way. You notice things you never noticed before, like the pattern on the wallpaper, or you can actually read the newspaper article when they flash a headline, things like that. If this isn't important to you, then you still have your DVD copy and you're no worse off.
It's the same with game remasters for me. It's a way to play the game I love again, but with fresh visuals (and often other upgrades as well).
The first and third BioShock games are among my favorite games, and I'm seriously looking forward to playing them again with remastered visuals. They were already some of the most beautiful games ever made so I can't wait to see what they've done (walking around in these worlds is very different than a few trailer clips).
All of this said, I'll probably wait until I can snag the set at $40 digitally. There are just so many games coming out between now and the end of the year that are begging for my attention.
Yay another last gen remaster.
Give us Shenmue already. At least the ND Crash games are on the way.
I don't mind remasters. I can't wait to revisit the Bioshock games on PS4.
The announcement I was waiting for. I am all over this crazy fandango.
Really can't wait for this
I would complain about remasters if they had just one title and were full price (hello, Nintendo) but you get 3 titles! And it's not like new games are not coming out...on the contrary I'll pass on this just because my September game schedule is already crazy.
I'll probably wait until a price drop. I've gone this long without playing them what's a few more months.
Take out infinite and you got a deal.
Ill buy at $40. Never played the series. Was sorry I missed it.
Hopefully theres a physical version and all three are on discs instead of downloading one or more of them. Has anyone confirmed physical?
@jbrewer99 Yes, there is a physical version up for pre-order now. I just placed my order on Amazon. Been waiting so long for this to finally be officially announced.
I think Infinite is a bit overrated. I mean don't get me wrong it's a good game but didn't feel like a BioShock game.
The Burial at Sea DLC was really good tho.
Yet ANOTHER ps4 game telling you that your PS3 was fine and didn't need succeeding yet
@glassmusic I agree but you have a few bad remasters that take it down to be honest Dishonored was a dissapointment and Darksiders was not so great either. But I loved the new Valkyria Chronicles never played the DLC my favorite PS3 game.
Might go for this at a decent price. My motion sickness has always made it difficult for me to play these but a smooth 60fps could give me a chance. I appreciate I have a particular set of circumstances but at least somebody is excited about another remaster.
