And with that, the first E3 2016 press conference is under our belts. Never one to follow trends, EA did things a little differently this year, opting to hold its own event aligned with E3 – but technically not part of the convention. Its briefing was a bit predictable, though, focusing on the likes of Mass Effect Andromeda, Battlefield 1, and Titanfall 2.
But were you impressed by what the major publisher had to show? Do you think that its presser was well paced? And which titles best caught your eye? Share your thoughts on EA Play in the comments section below, and don't forget to rate it in our poll.

Absolutely awful. The only real thing they announced was a Titanfall 2 release date, and that's about it. Surely they've lost E3 already
Terrible. The only salvageable thing might be Mass Effect, and even that reveal was lackluster as hell.
Pretty average but expected nothing less. ME wasn't the best reveal I guess but what it did show looked really nice!! BF1 looked cracking too but not really my cup of tea unless the single player is amazing.
Exactly what happens when you talk about games that aren't going to be ready for years, very poor.
Probably the most uninformative presser ever.
I just can't believe that is all they had to show for Mass Effect.
I quite liked it to be honest, even though they didn't show ****. XD
almost everything star wars and mass effect was behind the scenes. But at the other hand they confirmed we will be seeing mass effect gameplay this fall.
Worst than Nintendo's last year, and it says a lot, the only good thing was Mass Effect (more or less). And it's good to know that's more star wars coming but we know nothing actually. Now 10 ~ 20 minutes of FIFA and Madden is unacceptable.
Meh
Titanfall was good but ntohing special
No star wars
Almost no Mass Effect gameplay
BF is a boring game to me.
woeful
EA may have technically removed itself from E3, but it was the same old sh*te. Boring, almost no gameplay, and too much padding.
So....normally I have riffing material. Not even capable in this one. God damn that was....bad. I had a none gamer with me saying "Why should I care?"
Their conference sucked. Titanfall 2 was the only redeeming quality of the show... well, that, and the comment section. Everyone critiquing EA was hilarious.
It was really a miserable experience! So boring.
@KratosMD Fe looked decent but its not by the Unravel developers
Let's be honest: it was atrocious.
Titanfall 2 was good but I was disappointed by the way they handled Mass Effect and their future Star Wars plans. Battlefield 1 is my 3rd choice FPS for the holiday season and have no doubt it will be 900/60 (or 1080/30) on PS4. I know TF2 will be 900/60 too - its frostbite 3 after all but at least it will be more fun!
I only watch SONY's conference at the E3's The rest sound BORING like this(EA's) and Microsoft's to(I would rather watch paint dry really)
I'll give it the best compliment I can give it. It's the best E3 conference so far.
@Jacko11 why couldn't they at least remind people unravel will have a sequel? This was a typical EA event. Why not show battlefront bespin DLC on EA conference? Where any EA tennis game? When in the world will PS4 finally have a tennis game? We have cricket, rugby and all this lower profile games and we cant get a tennis game by now?
Titan fall 2 is the only game from EA I am excited about playing this yr besides all the DLC for Battlefront.
It was awful, but it could've been worse. They set the bar very low this year.
Absolute codswallop.
EA is EA - very american in the worst way...
I had fun counting the word sport
@premko1
Hey, hey, what you trying to say!? Road Rash by EA on the 3DO was American, in a great way, hitting somebody over the head as they plow into a car while driving your crotch rocket through the California countryside,.......with Rusty Cage by Soundgarden playing in the background!
Although.....the only great thing from this conference was Titanfall 2,.......BF1 was decent, and Mass Effect was sleep inducing.
It was underwhelming. Simple as that. Titanfall 2 was the highlight for me personally, but the rest was just weak.
So far the best part of E3 has been the amazon sales.
I will buy all 3 of those games regardless of E3 , contrary to popular opinion I think EA make fantastic games . I'm not really interested in live shows an all that and prefer to probably come back to read PushSquares round up of the whole thing, rather than who's wearing what or who fluffed his lines whos got the best exclusives etc
Lotsa sports junk and stuff I don't really care about.
I thought it was ok, although this is the first e3 I am following. Titanfall 2 and battlefield 1 look amazing. I was really bummed there was no Star Wars stuff. I also don't care at all about Fifa or madden, so it was just ok.
@Ewflex I suppose they just expect people to remember as it was only recently they confirmed a sequel. Bespin DLC was a surprise not being shown in more depth but a tease of Lando sufficed.
I don't believe there is any real demand for a tennis game I mean you're the first person i've ever seen who actually seriously seems desperate for one. And like with EA cricket and rugby games, they haven't been around for a while likely due to low sales which is why they have been abandoned.
If there is any game that should be brought back its Skate. Although unlikely as EA disbanded Blackbox. Thats where the real demand for a "low profile" game is.
Terrible conference xD
Voted "Meh." The only thing I wanted to see was ME: Andromeda, and they barely showed anything on that front. Lots of sports and shooter stuff that I couldn't care less about, but given that I'm not the target audience, I didn't want to vote "poor."
I was hoping to see more gameplay for Mass Effect but not much revealed. Nothing new mentioned, just sequels. Titanfall 2 and Battlefield do look awesome and I hope they support more indie games like Fe. I'm still pumped for Andromeda.
Only game I cared was Mass Effect and that conference made me feel like the game is 2 years away
horrible .thank god I didn't watch it
As this is my first post on here i would like to say hello to the staff of pushsquare and to all who post on here.
I to think it was rubbish, wanted to get a good look at Battlefield 1,Titainfall 2 and Mass Effect and all we got were short trailer's.Don't know why EA put their own show on when the put an effort like that together.I did watch the Battlefield 1 live stream after the show so i did get to see gameplay of that.
@Jacko11 I hear what you are saying but tennis was popular not too long ago. Forbes magazine just had a article on hoping to get a tennis game.
EA conference waa a disgrace. If you liste.mn to podcast check out kind of funny from Greg Miller and Collin and the rip a you what at EA conference. People are tired of hearing about madden and Fifa no matter how popular these titles are.
Cricket, rugby and the other nonessential sports title I can't remember is only digital psn games. So why can't a tennis game be a digital game if it's not as popular as it use to be?
The problem with gamers are that they want too many familiar games. I know a lot of hardcore gamers hate sports games but they are the minority who pay the bills for developers. A tennis game will appeal to the casual gamer. We have pool and chess games which I like and bought but I want a simulation tennis game. The great thing about a tennis game is I don't have the need or urge to upgrade to the newer game every yr like madden, Fifa, NBA 2k and MLB the show.
@Ewflex I'm watching Kinda Funny as always, followed Greg and Colin for years so I heard them rip into EA and the sports stuff. But my first comment said exactly what they said.
I'm not saying I wouldn't purchase a tennis game if one came, I loved Virtua Tennis. The question is, yes its would be for casual gamers, but are those casual gamers going to purchase the game in high enough quantity to help the studio creating it break even or generate profit. Also, who do you have in mind to make it? Does a studio really want to make one of these games?
@Jacko11 I have no idea who should make a tennis game. I am just tired of ps4 not having a tennis or table tennis game. I loved smash court tennis pro tournament but I'm happy with EA grand slam tennis or even top spin.
@Ewflex
Big sports gamer myself, I buy every iteration of MLB The Show and NBA 2K, and I would also love to see a tennis game. It annoys me we haven't gotten one yet this gen. I know it's niche but you can't tell me it'd sell more poorly than Gravity Rush and Tearaway did on PS4 for example.
@Gamer83 I use to be a big sports gamer but I am tired of most sports games that come out every yr. But tennis is an exception to that rule. It's a game that is fun playing on and offline. I bought MLB 15 but I just didn't want to buy another MLB not because I don't like the game but cause it comes out every yr and it can't possibly be that much better than last yr. I use to buy madden and NBA 2k and NBA live but I am just tired of sports iterations that come out every yr.
It's boring, ea should ask sony advice how to make it's e3 conference interesting.
EA had some of the best shots of people at desks.
