Sony's continuing its Guide to the Galaxy video series by spotlighting how trading will work in No Man's Sky. This brand new clip shows how you'll travel to different planets in order to collect resources, and then exchange these goods with nearby traders in order to unlock better weapons and ship parts. It's a simple loop, but should prove to be an effective one. The game's mere weeks away now.

I have to say that is the best of the trailers released amongst the four so far. Showed some really cool stuff, and the trading mechanic seems to be much more in depth that I previously thought. Super Hype
I think this is definitely going to be a marmite game. There's no indication of there being a fixed narrative so far and that has a lot of people scratching their heads.
A game that doesn't tell you exactly what you should be doing at any given moment is a bit of an alien concept these days.
I think there will be more of a story than what is being told right now. Sean has stated over and over they will not divulge to mucj because that would take away from the mystery and wonder of the game. There will definitely be an over arching lore or story tied to the sentinels, the atlas, their purpose in the universe and the players purpose for reaching the center and why they were dropped in a life pod on the starter planet. All of this is being purposely hidden as to not spoil the secrets. I for one am glad it is a mystery because I would rather learn all this myself.
In the meantime I'm listening to this classic record...
Have a nice intergalactic trip!

@Majic12 Yep, the mystery is the main reason I'm excited. I'm really looking forward to uncovering No Man's Sky's secrets.
Really cool trailer
I haven't seen any new footage of this game since the first reveal, and I'm keeping it that way. I want to go in as blindly as possible! How often do we get to do that anymore?
I love the Destiny style UI, very clean way of keeping all the necessary information together without feeling cluttered.
I can't wait for my space sandbox.
@adf86 Agreed. I saw some people complaining that they went the Destiny route in regards to the US and inventory, but that was one of the things go I liked best about Destiny. Borrowing things that are good from previous games has always happened, and I think was the right choice in this case.
@Majic12 I think that's all down to just people jumping onto the anti hype bandwagon because they didn't like Destiny. Many great games have took ideas off others, it's just hitting a balance of a game being your own thing then just been a copy.
I didn't know rocks are classified as "exotic items."
My only thing with this is if there's lots of planets , then why doesn't it show more then what's in trailer? I'll still buy but I just think showing more stuff would be great.
@TVRFLY They're purposefully holding back, because half the point of the game is the joy of discovery and exploration You'll find more than your fill of planets and creatures that have never been seen before, and you'll likely never come across any locations seen in trailers!
So hyped for this man! I really an trying to not watch the trailers but just can't seem to find the willpower!
Woo hoo
this game just cannot come quick enough. I think it's gonna be a game I will keep coming back to purely for the 'whats next' experience. Like it or not a handful of people have created a whole universe. Not a city, not some racetrack, not even a whole country but a fekking universe. Cool. Even if this game turns out to be boring or repetitive I'm just in awe at what these guys have made. Mathematics rocks ppl lol
I'm trying to stay blind on a lot of this stuff so I can experience it firsthand when the game is released.
i was so hyped for this but still in 2 minds. Had pre ordered but damaged tendon in arm & going on holiday the week of release. Ill just look at review totals ignore any of the text & judge to buy or hold of for a sale & buy. would love to go through it as a pacifist just to see the journey.
You know what's a bit crazy, it's very unlikely that even with all players combined we will manage to visit even 1% of the planets in this game. That will drive some of the complentionists a bit mad!
I have resisted watching any of the game clips but my willpower deserted me with this one and I nearly choked on my berrocca!
This, to me, looks like a fantastic almalgomation of many gaming genres and quite unlike anything currently sitting on my gaming shelf. I hope to have The Witcher done and dusted by then and I'll be ready to create my own story with this one.
I know the delay really killed the buzz for this game, but these trailers have been getting straight hyped for this game for real!
Looks great to me. Should make for dynamic replays
CHOO CHOO
All aboard the Hype Train.
