It's not been a very interesting week here on Planet PlayStation, with most of the big stories stemming from No Man's Sky, which is now just about three or so weeks away. Other headlines included a Trophy list for Dead Rising, which looks poised to make its PlayStation debut.

Ghostbusters - 2/10
Roger Ebert once famously opined that video games are not art, and Ghostbusters is Exhibit A for his case. This is not art. It barely qualifies as a game. Sure, it's not broken like some games are. It's functional. It works. But there's no risk, no ambition, and not a trace of anything resembling the personality of the Ghostbusters movies or cartoons. This is a game that seems like it was made with the specific purpose of tricking parents who don't know any better into buying it for their kids.
Song of the Deep - 7/10
Song of the Deep has a big heart, and is a fun, uncomplicated game that players of all ages will enjoy. The abilities are fun to use, the gameplay is mostly solid, and the presentation really won us over. Exploring this lush seascape, solving simple puzzles, and experiencing the sweet story – this is where the game excels. It contains most of the established rules and trappings of a Metroidvania, and is one of the easier games that we've played recently, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, it's nice to play a game that doesn't ask too much of you, one that allows you to relax and simply enjoy being in its world. If you can forgive its technical hiccups and learn to adapt to its loose controls, you'll have a whale of a time.

Talking Point: Will No Man's Sky Live Up to the Hype on PS4?
No Man's Sky is finished! We're nearing our 50th article on the game since it was announced all the way back in December 2013. In case you can't remember those halcyon days: the PlayStation 4 had only just released, Geoff Keighley still produced award ceremonies for Spike TV, and Britain was still in the EU. Too soon?
Soapbox: Destiny's Grimoire Cards Are Pretty Awesome
Destiny is famous for a lot of things, but a strong and structured storyline is most definitely not one of them. In fact, it's more renowned for telling you that it doesn't have time for a plot. I'm here to tell you that Destiny actually possesses potentially one of the deepest and most well thought out universes you'll see in a game. There's one, rather large issue, however – none of this actually resides in the game itself.

Is Sony Holding a Press Conference at Gamescom?
Earlier in the year at E3 2016, Sony implied that it was still undecided regarding the venue of its European press conference this year. Historically, it's held the show at Gamescom, but last year it switched the event to Paris Games Week. However, with Microsoft skipping its European media briefing entirely this time, all eyes are on the Japanese giant and its plans.
