Star Wars Battlefront's final expansion pack – due this Holiday after the upcoming Death Star add-on – will be based upon the forthcoming Rogue One movie. The tidbit was confirmed at Star Wars Celebration this weekend, with confirmation that Scarif – the movie's tropical location – will be used as the basis for some new maps.
The film's due out on 16th December, so you should probably expect the DLC to deploy right around then. In the meantime, an offline mode will be added to DICE's first-person foray next week, and it will be free for you to download. Are you still playing this shallow but stunning shooter? yea, they kinda screwed themselves with this game. the maps are very bland, content sucks, expansions are pretty meh. Good to see a lot of people didn't fall for this game.
I got it for £10 definatly worth it at that price
@Kamikaze_Krunch I quite like it - it's definitely shallow, but I find it quite easy-going compared to more "hardcore" shooters.
That said, like @dryrain says, it's the kind of game you're better off buying used or in a sale than brand new.
Such a good game I'm glad I ignored the smug hipster types who all seem to be really informed on a game they in many cases haven't even played and just got it , it's great fun. Kind of reminds me of what happened with Driveclub.
I keep bigging this game up.
Love it.
More fun than more competitive multiplayers.
Wasn't keen on paying for the dlc but I don't regret it now. Worth it as far as I'm concerned for the amount I've played it.
@get2sammyb yeah, but even Battlefield isn't really that hardcore. I understand that there are people that like it, just like there is always a game that has people that like it. That being said, they could have done this whole thing much better. I really believe the developers slacked on this title and that's saying it kindly.
