Who doesn't enjoy squeezing shaped pegs through holes? It's an activity that many of you will have engaged with as children – and now you have an excuse to do it as an adult as well. SuperHyperCube has been confirmed as a PlayStation VR launch title, meaning that it will square up to your PlayStation 4 on 13th October. But what exactly is it?
Essentially, it's a puzzle game. You start out with a single cube, which you must navigate through a hole in an approaching wall. Success will see additional cubes added to your lone square, creating bizarre shapes. You must rotate your growing cluster in order to ensure that it continues to fit through the hole in the wall. And that's more or less it.
There is a bit more to the game than that, though. Boosting through the wall – a twist on Tetris' quick drop manoeuvre – will charge your power-ups, which will allow you to slow time and smash through walls unobstructed. A simple concept, then, but it's been built from the ground up for virtual reality – and who doesn't enjoy a nice puzzle title?

This is by Phil Fish.
The same Phil Fish who lambasted Japanese games, whilst Fez was a Super Paper Mario rip-off. The same Phil Fish who - it turned out - stole the idea of Fez to begin with. The same Phil Fish who rage-quit the internet after abusing people, and telling them to go kill themselves. The same Phil Fish who was a DJ at a party held by the corrupt Double Fine studios (which took Kickstarter money after claiming they had none, before begging for more the very next morning... and then releasing a still-incomplete game).
The same Phil Fish - it seems - is now happy to rip-off JAPANESE puzzle game SpeedThru: Potzal's Puzzle (AKA Ketzal's Corridors).
... Yeeeeeaaah. I won't be buying this.
@Kage_88 Don't care about the drama, if the game is good I'll buy it.
@MadAussieBloke Yeah after launch, the vive/oculus hype is gone overnight. I think vr will be like pc and console now, vr in pc will be better graphically but all the big game (batman/starwars/first party game) will be on console first.
@MadAussieBloke I'm totally hyped for the ps vr but wait what gamea bro? None seems mainstream to me.
@Kage_88
He clearly learned from his mistakes, he sports a mustache now...
We'll see.
I'd probably not give this game the time of day on a console. Buuuut, I'm thinking maybe games that don't look so appealing in a video, might actually be tons of fun in virtual reality.
So we shall see.
