As scorching temperatures here in the UK continue to melt away our productivity, we're not sure that we can even be arsed playing games this weekend. That said, those of you from more tropical climes may be better equipped to cope with the apocalyptic temperatures, so do let us know what you're playing in the comments section below.

This weekend I'll be starting Song of the Deep. And when that isn't happening, I'll be sitting quietly waiting for No Man's Sky to come out.

Since I'm off on holiday, I've got to decide which handheld to take with me. Unfortunately, I think my Vita will be staying at home, as not only do I have Monster Hunter Generations to play, but I've also got Yo-Kai Watch, and Fire Emblem Fates to keep me fully occupied. [Traitor – Ed]

I'm borrowing my roommate's copy of DOOM so I can finally play its campaign. As a fan of the originals, I really want to spend some time with this. But before all of that, I'm going to have to sit down and spend a decent chunk of time playing the new episode of Kentucky Route Zero. Sure, the game may now only be 4/5 of the way finished after more than three years from its release, but I'm willing to wait. After all, even at this stage, Kentucky Route Zero is easily my favourite game that I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Now if only it'd find its way to the PS4.

Since the latest Star Ocean release, I seem to have gotten my taste back for JRPGs. Rather than splashing out on another new release such as I Am Setsuna, however (though it does look great), I've decided to make some inroads into some of my back analogue. I'm ten hours into Tales of Graces F on the PS3 right now, and I'm really enjoying it. So, having found a little time, I'll be making some progress with that.

I'm currently on the tail end of a family excursion in Canada that's ending tomorrow in the States with Boston, so while I'm not playing anything, I'm really looking forward to heading back home on Sunday to assume my watch with Overwatch once again (especially with the new patch) and finish up Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

I'll be trying to be an effective healer in Overwatch... Then just giving up and choosing Reinhardt or D.Va. I'll also be playing through Mortal Kombat X's glorious story mode.

This weekend I'm at a conference for work – which means that I will be playing Rocket League, DriveClub, and Dangerous Golf on the college's 65" 4K screen against potential new students. It's a tough job, but I'm willing to make these sacrifices!

I'm going to attempt to off that nasty final boss in the rather excellent Furi this weekend. I've been really taken by its simple-yet-satisfying combat, and despite a couple of frustrating fights, it's been a genuinely good time. Elsewhere, to celebrate Sonic's 25th Anniversary (and because Sonic Mania looks legitimately awesome), it's time to dip back into my Mega Drive collection and remind myself of what great Sonic games are like.

So, I have a new drug now and it's called Neverwinter. Thus, I will be slaying tons of baddies as a Greatsword wielding dwarf this weekend.
And that concludes another hot, hot, hot edition of WAYP this week. As always, please feel free to join in on the fun in the comments section below. And could someone please bring a fan or something?

Lots of things but mostly Warcraft, still preparing for the new expansion with leveling a new character. At my PS4 I play a bit of Neverwinter, Overwatch and JoJo's bizzare adventure.
Ill be playing Overwatch now that Ana was added (she is awesome by the way) along with some Pokken and splatoon with friends and a little gravity rush on vita. I tried Blast Ball on 3ds but i was not thrilled. It was fun, but it did not sell me on the game. I am much more interested for Federation Force than Blast Ball
With my in-laws still in town this weekend, I'll probably just take my niece and nephew on pokewalks playing pokemon go.
I'm smashing through I am Setsuna, not sure I'll manage to finish it before HL Drifter launches. And I'll be cooking up a BBQ this evening. Happy weekend all
I'm off now until a week Monday and even though I have been ill since Wednesday,I'm hoping I will get some gaming done.
(Finally) finished uncharted 4 a week ago and absolutely loved the game but will try to platinum it another day.Also finished Dying Light The Following which was an amazing experience but I'm thinking maybe I should of picked the other ending..
So anyway seeing as that boss in Tales of Zestiria is a real b**tard I've given up..(yep thanks for wasting 55 hours of my life!)anyway I've decided to try Nights of Azure which I bought because I'm a huge fan of the Atelia Series and as its by the same people I thought I'd give it a go...sooo ok it's not anything like Atelia or as good as but for some reason despite the naff Ness of it,I'm kind of addicted to it and feel I'll finish it and may even plat it or I may suddenly think why the hell am I playing this?It's rubbish!we shall see..
Oh and still playing and loving Persona Golden
Book of Spells - Wonderbook
Not the best game I've played... this week, but quite fun and one of the easiest platinums ever.
Windows Phone:
Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp - Really quite boring so far...
Vita:
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - In the middle of my second playthrough
Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified - Haven't really touched much campaign, been having too much fun online.
Limited time but I am really enjoying gravity rush on the vita so will continue with that. Might replay Gone Home as I missed stuff. Got a stack of digitals I bought in the sale to start as well. Alas it is a hard life
I finally bit the bullet and brought persona 4 on the vita and know I see what all the fuss is about. Amazing game and I love the humour. On the ps4 I'll be playing doom.I've took a break from star ocean but I do really like this game but it's certainly not as engaging as previous star ocean games. Doom is very cool and id has done a good job here, it's fast,frantic,ferocious, bloody fun.
I recently bought enslaved for the PS3 for the grand old sum of £2 so will be looking to play that this weekend. Also looking to playthrough MGS on the Vita, Snake, Snake, Snnnaaakkeee!! Ah, good times.
Another working weekend for me...
I'm off to kos for 2 weeks tomorrow so I've packed the vita got a tonne of new game to me. God of war 1&2, tareaway, borderlands the wipeout HD and fury expansions lemmings and numerous ps plus games. Doubt I'll get time to play half but ive got them all on my 64gb card so we'll see.
Been playing Splatoon, Last splatfest time, but my hope is up, maybe is not the last one haha.
mmm some DOOM just one more achievment, and hatsune miku project mirai dx.
i'm half away reading IT.
Happy Weekend
My PS4 has rapidly mutated exclusively into an Earth Defense Force 4.1 machine.
I used to play other games but now it's just EDF! EDF!
Getting my feet wet in Neverwinter.
Some Splatoon, Velocity 2X and Battlefront. Maybe finish that dull SFV story mode for the fight money.
If I have time for anything it will be Street Fighter V, KOF 14 demo, Last Blade 2, Injustice, and Skullgirls for PS4. Other games- Tokyo Mirage Session, Killer Instinct, and Animal Crossing New Leaf.
Sly 4. Now the Doodle games are done, I really need to get thru my ps3 backlog so I can eventually get rid of the console and focus more on my ps4.
Also continuing to breed all the Pokémon on Omega Ruby so that I can migrate everything onto Moon in November

Final Fantasy 10 -
Beaten dead hard Seymour and stuck in Mount Gagazet, hit some pillar with wakkas ball now I have no idea where to go just gonna get drunk.
I picked up an Xbox 350 for $30 (with Forza 4), so I'm catching up on some exclusives that I missed out on before No Man's Sky is released. This weekend, Alan Wake. I'm not too far in, but so far it's pretty good.
I'll be finishing Uncharted Drakes fortune, finally! Otherwise no gaming, will enjoy the wonderful summer outside!
Almost done with Mad Max. Excellent game. Really enjoyed my time with it.
I'll be trying out Ana in Overwatch and starting Furi, as it's just been sitting on my PS4 menu, begging to be played. Maybe I'll finally get around to finishing Batman: Arkham Knight too.
I'll be trying to finish Halo 5 Legendary Solo and I've started a new character on Dark Souls 3 so I'm trying to tie up the third ending and a couple of other achievements to 100% it.
Ratchet & Clank if I find time to play at all this weekend. I haven't really been in a video game mood this summer. I've been out and about a lot more here recently.
Playing Fire Emblem on my 2DS, too. In the summer, it helps if you don't keep your home consoles and flatscreen on. They actually generate a lot of heat!
@JaxonH
Good choice on wii u, will have to dust off my copy soon!
The Rocket League bug has bitten me again so I'll be playing plenty of the when I get time. Also started Divinity Original Sin the other week, the mechanics are really fun in the game but something about it just isn't drawing me in. Shame coz it looks like a really fun game, hoping it clicks with me soon.
@DestinationPs
With Color Splash dropping in 60 days I thought it was high time I played the universally agreed "best in the series".
Forza 5. Not 6, 5. I need to get to the next level in my rewards, and I have a major gap in Forza 5 compared to the other games.
@Hego Divinity is really great imo. That said if you don't like it already in not sure it'd grow much..
Bought Metal Gear Solid V cheap from the sales, I haven't played a MGS game since the original on the PS one, so I imagine it may have changed a little.
@rippo1971 a little bit, yeah lol
It really is hot...
Not really playing anything particular at the moment, my friend was visiting me in the weekend and I've been mainly playing Monster Hunter 4 and Smash Bros with him. Prior to that I was playing I am Setsuna, but honestly I dunno if I want to return to that, as I was fearing, the piano only soundtrack makes it pretty goshdarn dull to play.
This weekend part from watching stranger things that has taken up most my weekend I've been playing I am setsuna and Odin sphere!
@kyleforrester87 As long as I can still crawl around in a box!
@themcnoisy love that fight! One of the hardest in the game. I think there's another pillar you have to find?
@JaxonH how are you playing thousand year door on a wii u?
As for me, I finally made it onto the second map in MGSV.
Mad Max at the moment. It has its issues, sure, but as far as capturing the look and feel of the world, it does a great job. I am really enjoying it.
@Kidfried
I missed most of the 6th gen unfortunately. Aside from F-Zero GX on GC which I played non-stop, and some EA sports hockey game on PS2 and Halo at my friend's house. But ya, my brother has been reaming into me for 10 years to play all these GC games I missed. Got my work cut out for me.
@ztpayne7
Um, its possible... just give a quick google search for GC on the system.
When I've had the time I haven't been able to put down Song of the Deep. I don't understand all the negative or mediocre reviews. Fantastic game.
So after rapture and ethan carter which I loved. I sat down to play SOMA and after about two and a half hours I just wasn't feeling it. Its by no means a bad game it just didn't click for me. So I've finally started Arkham Knight.. I'M BATMAN!
