We're in that weird period in the weeks leading up to a new peripheral launch where the hardware's getting manufactured, the software's getting polished up, and there's not a whole lot else to say. Just to remind you that PlayStation VR is due out on 13th October, though, Sony's produced a new sizzle trailer complete with exaggerated facial expressions.
The clip centres on some of the biggest games set to release for the headset, including PlayStation VR Worlds, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, and BattleZone. Are you still excited for this innovative appliance, or is your interest flatlining? Pull some stupid faces in the comments section below.

Doesn't show anyone sitting in their living room, collapsed on the sofa in their PJ's, half eaten takeaway pizza on the table. Lose the actors, let's see some real people, Sony! Would like to see some real reactions.
I have yet to be tempted by VR but videos like this are just embarrassing and seeing so called actors look like total di*ks while playing in no way convinces me to buy one..
Those 400 dollars will be going to the PS4 Neo and anything afterwards will be accumulating to see of the NX is any good. Sorry VR.
Neo has my money too - that and the games coming out that hopefully will have some enhanced Neo performance to delight and show off on my 4k HDR TV...
meh. Bring on the Neo...
Screw Neo. I'm not wasting another $400 just so my HD games can look a little more HD. I'll put that money towards PSVR and NX, where I'll actually get new gaming experiences not currently available to me.
My expectations are actually rather tempered with regard to PSVR. Given that I've been waiting most of my life for virtual reality you'd think I'd be a little more excited but for some inexplicable reason I'm not. But I'm hoping that once I put that helmet on, that's going to change.
And I think it will. There is no way virtual reality can disappoint- provided it actually has good games to play.
@JaxonH Well, the delivery guy will be happy to hear he can keep that dolly strapped on for 1 day. Maybe it's my destiny to buy the 1 gaming related piece of equipment in the universe you aren't?
Why is that guy at the 21 second mark in the video using a Wiimote Zapper?
I do find it odd that Sony markets games well but when it comes to hardware we get this.
@rjejr That is the PS Aim controller. So far it's being used for Farpoint. It is not a plastic accessory, but its own controller specifically for VR.

VR sold out everywhere. I want it for my RE7
Meh rather wait till November and a NES.
Yeesh, this is the least realistic way to introduce PSVR. I get the feeling Sony is sweeping all the problems under the rug with this video. It has to be shown in a normal room, actually being played by gamers wearing the headset. Instead we get a bunch of green screen CG BS that represents absolutely nothing.
I'm guessing it's sold out because they're releasing it in small waves, seeing as the PSVR section in any of the BestBuys around me are already collecting dust.
@drd7of14 Wow, sombody actually made that thing? What did they use for the test model, a few empty paper towel rolls? Ad why is it white? To match the VR headset? But you won't be able to see th egun while you have th eVR headset on.
@BertoFlyingFox
That's the real commercial they need to show. A bunch of people standing in the middle of the room, they need to use two hands to pick up and put the VR headset on correctly, and then they have to bend over to try and find where they put all of their controllers.
Hey @get2sammyb You've tested this thing right? Does the front hinge up onto your forehead quick and easy so you can see your surroundings, or do you kind of squint out of the bottom around your nose? If I sneeze and need to quickly grab a tissue out of the box, how long is it going to take for me to find the box?
Sounds like a stupid question, I know, but I'm all about real world usage, not laboratory settings.
@rjejr It's got a little button on the underside that allows you to tighten/loosen it. Once you know how all of the mechanisms work, you could take it off as quickly as a pair of headphones or glasses.
@get2sammyb But can you just flip up the front visor part like a pair of clip on sunglasses while the rest of it is still on your head? Or do you have to take the whole thing off and on every time you want to see what's going on around you? Can't be good for your hairstyle.
Also, how well can you see while it's on? It looks like you'll probably want to use 2 hands to put it on, then you need to pick up the controllers. I'm betting the only time they've shown these off their was an "assistant" who handed you the controller(s) while you had the visor on, wasn't there?
OK, I found this vid, and the guy kind of looks like he's looking down under the visor to see his gun, or he could just be trying to look down and see it but he can't. It can't be totally dark in there in there when it's off, can it, that would creep some people out, some light must get in, it can't be form fitting on everyone's face.

Edit: @#$%## Youtube link.
It's not just about the games for me, it's about the actual usage of the device, we've played EyePet 1 and 2 and several Wonderbook games, it's not exactly like the trailers.
@drd7of14 I found it.
@Draythedestroyer
Sony really does nothing well outside of designing the base home console hardware and making sure it has strong software support.........which deserves a round of applause for sure (looking at your Nintendo)........however, they screw up pretty much everything else.
@get2sammyb In case you can't quite figure out what I'm going on about, I'll let Matt Pat explain, go to the 6:58 mark.

He also does a good job after that of saying what I've been saying all along, I'd rather have 4DX in limited bursts then spend a lot of time gaming in VR. I am never ever never ever calling it "Choosies" though, that's just stupid.
@LieutenantFatman remember the first advert for the Sony Playstation?? Bring back the good old days!
