Gal*Gun: Double Peace won't win many awards – but it'll probably be crowned PlayStation 4's dumbest game when the generation is done and dusted. This rails shooter by Inti Creates won't get you on the sex register – but it probably should. A kind of Time Crisis for people who can't keep their trousers on, the idea here is that you've become the most desirable boy in school, and must bat away fangirls by overwhelming them with your potent pheromones.
It doesn't control very well and, like so many Japanese games, it likes the sound of its own voice a little too much – but the concept alone should be enough to elevate interest. We'll bring you a full review later in the week.

@TripleGK Eeeeeeyaaahhh!
Wow the hiding behind cover and leaning out light gun game mechanic has never looked so creepy.
Never change Japan.
And people think video games are for nerds.
Is this 3 to 5 euros or what?
If this goes VR, i dread to think that the peripheral will look like...
The screeching screams!(make it stop)
Oh Japan, just awesome bizarre country.
Love it, can't wait for my copy. Also if that's your attitude then it would be better if you didn't review it. Is like those people that were negative about doax3 being made yet went on to review it anyway just cause.
Are they still suffering too much radiation in japan. Dont know whats worse someone made it or loads of people will by it. Try explaining that one to wife. Mind you she might turn around saying Doom is okay to play now.
Oh wow.
i cant imagine anything weirder than the pigeon dating simulator...
How does Push Square assign people to review what games? And did someone quickly step up to review this
Certainly not my kind of game but to each their own. Since it was mentioned, I wish we could get a new Time Crisis. I'm a huge fan of 1, 2 and especially 3.
It's a deliberately weird and silly game. We used to get a lot of those in previous gens (Remember Mr. Mosquito? Katamari Damacy? Seaman? etc.). Not everything needs to be a grim, self-important, ultra high-budget AAA masterpiece.
With that said, I'm a bit disappointed that this doesn't support the PS Move controller.
Yes, God forbid people bring unique concepts to the system. We want more lifeless, brown, self important cover shooters like Order on the system.
Christ, this article/video was beyond cringe. It felt like a bunch of nerds (push square) who are really self conscious trying to distance themselves from other nerds who don't really care what the wider public think of them.
@thatguyEZ
It's not a politically correct game and we live in an overly politically correct society. I think the concept is a little weird but if somebody else likes it, whatever, I don't have to buy it so it's not a big deal.

To be honest, looking at this just makes me wish Namco would hurry up and release Time Crisis 5 on PS4.
@Ralizah Move support seems like it should have been a no-brainer. I'm especially bummed since I have 2 shiny new Move controllers waiting patiently for PSVR's release, and it would be nice to put them to use.
Thank goodness there are still quirky games like this. Back in the early days of gaming when Nintendo and Sega appeared on the scene, part of the appeal was that they offered something that was different and exotic compared to what had been available to gamers. Gal Gun might not be a masterpiece, but at least it's not another paint by numbers FPS or cover shooter.
Also, I don't really understand the freak out over it. Frankly, this looks pretty tame.
I wonder where you are from because you sound exactly like Jimquisition.
Also I love how this game is using gym uniforms that were banned in the 90s. Really no hiding the fact that it's for perverts.
@Gamer83 Time Crisis 5 released last year! @riah or fans of the On-rails shooter like me, a truly rare release ESPECIALLY since it will release physically in a modern era were Sony MOSTLY focuses on Modern action games, this is the reason why I`m more inclined to Nintendo.
@get2sammyb It`s the first time I heard your voice Sammy, yes it sure is basically a silly girly one (and the silliest to release on the Playstation 4 which of course is a serious mature console), by the way I already knew the original existed.
As a die-hard retro game freak of the 90`s and naturally of the light gun genre as well as becoming more of a fan of Japan and I (personally admire the land of the rising sun) this one definitely peaks my interest although I would be reluctant to own it. 3/10? was it really that bad? Was there emphasis on girly silliness? hopefully Time Crisis 5 will get ported to the Palystation 4.......
@Anguspuss this game isn`t highly controversial it doesn`t have any sinful pornographic content, yes it`s a silly one which will catch the eye of many teenage boys, This game is an example of Japan`s portrayal of girly silliness and shall we say it`s for the teenage boy who wants to fall in love but doesn`t have the confidence to form a relationship with a young lady. In some form it it`s a rare example of the genre as if it was making a comeback, OF COURSE Time Crisis 5 is the (only other) one to wait for IF it does get ported to the Playstation 4.........
